This large and beautiful Georgian home is in a fantastic location.
Hi I am Lois and with my husband John we have run Spire House as a B&B for over 22 years. We like to think we understand what visitors to our area really want and our home is equipped to help everyone have a great holiday. From maps and guides to spare umbrellas we have got it. We have been lucky enough to meet people from across the world and now we want to do some more exploring ourselves. This is why we are offering our lovely home to rent as a holiday home. We really believe in getting the most out of everyday and hope that like minded people will enjoy our city as much as we do. Although a small city we really think it has a lot to offer, take our cinema for example, we are real movie fans and our cinema is certainly original! It takes 10 minutes to fast walk to the Playhouse, I know that because I am always late! John and I have seen some really outstanding productions there. We also enjoy Salisbury Arts Centre and have seen a variety of productions, talks and did a dance course in this old church. We will leave lots of information for our guests and also the opportunity to get some good discounts from the places we support.
Lois purchased this House in 1996
Why Lois chose Salisbury
Spire House has been my absolute passion for years now, every room has been decorated with love and I hope my special quirky touches are appreciated.
What makes this House unique
So often when guests arrive at Spire House they remark 'Oh isn't this house large,so much bigger than it looks from outside and what an amazing location'.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.

Plenty of space for family reunion. Great kitchen facilities.
A beautiful property in the heart of Salisbury
Four adults and five children stayed for two nights. Everything you could wish for and more. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay x
Beautiful house, well equipped, great location !
Lois was easy to communicate with when arranging our stay. The house was absolutely stunning! Quirky, clean, well equipped with everything you could need. It was in a great location just minutes walk from everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Fantastic, beautiful, central house!
We are a group of mums who spend a weekend together every year and we all agreed this was the best place we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail, fabulous paintings and wallpaper designs, wonderful furnishings and super comfy beds. Lois the host was simply the best. Gorgeous kitchen and dining room, loads of space, luxurious lounges with Sky and a full library of books. Thank you very much!
It was an absolute pleasure. I am so glad you all enjoyed the weekend
I booked the house for a group of 10 of us to celebrate a 40th birthday. We had the most amazing time in this beautiful house. It is short walk to the catherdral, shops, bars and places to eat.
The house was plenty big enough for all of us, with a lovely big kitchen, dinning room where we spent most of our time and we could all sit around together and a small snug living room. Bedrooms were lovley with en-suits. The fourth bedroom was used as a beautiful reception room, but has a pull down sofa bed so it can double as both. Still a beautifull room to sleep in.
Lois, the host was very friendly and answered all my questions. She even left us bread and milk and other M&S bits. There was even fresh flowers dotted about the place and you could tell that she wanted us to enjoy our time.in her home.
Highly recomended for a group gathering.
Beautiful house and feels like a real home..
It feels like entering the Tardis as from the street you have no impression of how lovely and big the house is going to be. Kitchen is fantastic and really well equipped with lovely roses and food to get us started. Great garden which we will need to come back and see when it’s not raining. Bedrooms all comfortable with nice linens. Really loved the decor and had made me want to be more adventurous with wallpaper! Overall a lovely place to stay to see the sights of Salisbury: loved walking around the cathedral and our five year old very impressed he could see spire from his bedroom. We’ll be back.
Salisbury Cathedral, museums and Historic House all in the Cathedral Close.
Stonehenge is only 8 miles from Salisbury.
