Paradise at Loreto Playa in Loreto Mexico
I would just like to start out by saying that all of the reviews ( 5 Star ) do not do justice for the Villa.
The owners Jeff and Linda are by far the best hosts we have ever come by in all of the places we have stayed. Jeff is almost at your beckoned call if you need something or have a question regarding the area. Linda is also extremely kind and has a big heart.
Jeff set us up with the #1 fisherman in Loreto, Jorge Davis. His English is rough but what the heck we are in their country. Jorge knows the Sea of Cortez better than anyone here and where to catch Yellowtail, Cabrillo, Pargo and Sea Bass. All of which are extremely good eating. We caught so much that we had to purchase 2 coolers and have friends take them back with them when they went home. Jorge picks you up at the house and drops you back off when done. Jorge is related to many people including Heidi, his daughter, who does massages and comes to the house my wife said she got the best massage of her life from Heidi.Heidi also does pedicures, also great. Francisco, his cousin, is a great taxi driver and knows the area very well.
There are so many things to say such as: The mission trip in San Javier was great. Francisco took us there and on the way he pulled off road and showed places we never would of seen on any tour guide trip. The lunch at the mission was authentic Mexican food not the stuff you get in the states. Watch out for the HOT SAUCE even Francisco was saying muy caliente!!!!. The mission was great and over 250 years old. It was a perfect day.
We went Blue whale watching which was great. Jorge new right where to go and we saw the whales within 30 minutes of being out onto the Sea of Cortez, Another wonderful day. We also went to the Pacific ocean and saw the Grey Whales in the bay with their babies. Saw so many whales we lost count. They would come along the boat, spin and spout water. It was the best whale watching we have ever seen. So close and upfront you can almost touch them. Some people have said they were able to touch the babies but they didn't get close enough to safely reach out and touch them that day. Another perfect day.
The rest of the time we spent in town browsing and grazing on the great food. The best place to eat was a small restaurant called Jr's and George shrimp tacos. Best ever and a wonderful man is George.
You only need U.S currency for fishing with Jorge other wise just bring your debit card and get pesos at the ATM at Ley's supermart in tow
Beautiful home and location with great hosts
The pictures can't do this home justice, it's a remarkably beautiful house in a wonderful setting with great space and very comfortable furnishings. The road to town is easily walk-able, and the small store a couple blocks away was great for fill-in items between grocery trips. The owner was available and had very helpful information about the town, restaurants and services, and helped set up a trip/tour around Coronado Island. We truly hope to come back soon!
Thank you Rebeçca
We look forward to your next visit.

Fantastic home in a great little town.
Jeff and Linda were very helpful. Bicycles, kayaks, Beatrice’s market all added to the experience. We strongly recommend fishing with Jorge and touring with Francisco who were both simpatico and professional. The house and setting are both stunning.
Beautiful house in an excellent location. It's perfect for a couple or a multi-gen family
The hosts were friendly, informative, helpful and responded quickly to requests. The local services they recommended were all great. We were very happy with the experience.
Thank you Laurie we look forward to your next visit.
So clean and comfortable
Jeff and his wife Linda, are wonderful people! they made us feel so welcome, and were great about helping us navigate around town and finding things we needed. Jorge whom was recommended by Jeff took us fishing and snorkeling, and we had a fantastic time! Caught so much fish, we had plenty for our 10 days plus we gave some to Jorge, he filleted all of it for us and wow so delicious and fresh..We are already planning our next visit.
Thank you it was a pleasure to meet you all. We look forward to your next visit.
A Birdwatchers paradise, you can identify several species of birds without leaving the patio. Great snorkeling and scuba areas close by, and we have personal recommendations for fish charters and tour captains. We highly recommend the 19 mile drive inland to see the small town of San Javier and its mission built in 1699. Tour books made us wary of this site because of its curvy road, but we were pleasantly surprised that it is just a slow road, not curves with a cliff below. The 19 mile trek can be easily driven in 40 minutes.
