Space 2,400 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

2400 sqft home, 5 bedrooms,3 full baths, 2 living rooms - 2 kitchens -2 big deck

I am very excited to have this home available as another option on the Plateau. The home is spacious with maybe the best patio around with great views and tucked into the trees. It really has everything a large group would want for a vacation home. 3 bedrooms up and 2 a two bedrooms suite downstairs with a second living space and second kitchen. There is a private entrance if you want to lock it off and have your privacy from the kids or the in laws. The home is bright and open and comfortable and has all the requirements to make your squamish stay unforgettable. Minutes to lakes, the Sea to Sky Gondola and endless out door activities this home really makes you feel like you are living within nature. Good clean fun!

Come stay and enjoy the lifestyle squamish has to offer in a very quiet, private neighbourhood.

About William Edmondson

This is my second vrbo home. I am a local squamish realtor and social entrepreneur who really enjoys having good people come to squamish and enjoy not only the plateau and its quiet, laid back lifestyle, but all that squampton has to offer.

William Edmondson purchased this house in 2015

Why William Edmondson chose Squamish

Well it's pretty awesome. Great decks, great location and neighbourhood, clean and packed with all that one wants in a vacation rental.... in one of the friendliest neighbourhoods around. And so many cool dogs to hang with.. What more could one want?

What makes this house unique

Close to lots of trails and some stunning views from both the upper and lower decks. It kinda feels like you are living in the trees. maybe cause you kinda are.

Fine for families

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here with children and the house was fine. Kids had a blast and enjoyed the swing in the front yard. The house was cold at times as only heated with space heaters but there were lots of blankets to cozy up with until rooms warmed up. Also, it would have been useful to have a microwave. This house would be nice in the summer when you could use the big decks. It is not in perfect shape so not the place to go if you are fussy but fine for families.

A Good Basecamp!

  • 4 of 5

We had a larger group of adults going up to Whistler and needed a spot for all of us to stay. Overall it was what we needed-- a basecamp for other activities (skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, hitting up the spas) in the area. The kitchen was good for our group meals, and we had enough beds for everyone, but we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors in this beautiful area. The owner was easy to reach and offered recommendations. He was very clear about noise expectations as the house is located in a quiet area, but we didn't run into any issues. If you have a particularly wild group though I could see this not being a good space to stay. There was plenty of parking and it was a quick drive into town. My biggest recommendation for the owner would be better heating as the house used space heaters and we didn't want to leave them on when we were away. That being said we would stay here again!

Overall an enjoyable stay for 4 families

  • 4 of 5

The house is well located in Squamish so that shopping, restaurants and places of interest were 10-15 minutes away by car. The layout was open and airy with lots of vistas to the views outside. It was overall well kept and tidy. For us, the 2 levels worked out perfectly because the kids (teens and preteens) slept downstairs while the parents slept upstairs. The only criticism we have pertains to the kitchen utensils and the lack of a microwave. Some of the utensils were quite old and at the end of life. The kitchen knives were dull and we could not find a sharpener or honer. Otherwise, all in all we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Will!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. I will certainly get those knives sharpened ASAP and add some new untensils and new knives. The microwave is a tough one. It's not a healthy item to have in the home but people do use them so I guess I best add one. It hasn't come up except for one other time a few years back but in the end if people want to use a microwave I best provide so will make that change also. Appreciate the feedback!

spacious and homey

  • 5 of 5

William's house was spacious and homey. The downstairs was fantastic for traveling with 8 people including 4 adult kids; everyone had plenty of space. The neighborhood was very quiet and beautiful with mountains peeking over the treetops. The neighbors we met were friendly and William was available for advice and in case we had any problems. Our stay was problem-free. We would love to stay again. The hiking around Squamish inspires awe.
