Location was convenient to beach. Edge of property was next to road and fencing/screening would be helpful for kids and toys. Overall a good trip and visit.
We loved the location. It was just steps from the beach, close to dining and shopping. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. We felt like the place could use some deep cleaning in the bathrooms and tile flooring. also some decluttering around the pool area. Al in all we hand a great time. We visit Hilton Head every year for the last 20years.
We love this house for vacation!
Whitney was available when we needed him. We had a problem with the hot tub. We called him on Sunday morning and by Sunday afternoon the pool guy had it fixed! Amazing! This is the second year in a row we rented this house. We would rent again next year, but we are going to buy our own! Thank you for the memories!
Location, location, location.
The location of the house and the pool were great! It’s so close to a beautiful and relaxing beach, so easy to make trips back and forth, if needed. We loved that we were able to bring our dog as well! The major downside was the cleanliness of the house - or lack there of and general upkeep. A number of the dishes, glasses, silverware and appliances were filthy. Like curdled rotting milk in a cup sitting in the cabinet and a blender with some mystery liquid that had spilled all over another cabinet. The kitchen sink also shoots water out all over the place. It’s nice that previous guests leave beach and pool items for future guests’ use, but a periodic inventory would be beneficial. There is a pile of majorly rusted beach chairs, broken toys, popped rafts, and the outdoor furniture was moldy and covered in bird poop. Completely understand that stuff gets weathered and this is a no frills house - a-okay- but just a little attention to these things would really make it a nicer stay overall.
Overall good experience!
Perfect location! I love having the beach and a pool when I come to Hilton Head. After a long drive the cleaning wasn't ready on time and there was so much sand in the house, but it comes with being so close to the beach. The house seemed outdated but We had just enough room and again location was key!
Hilton Head offers an array of activities. Water sports, boating,
golf, tennis, fishing, biking, playgrounds, shopping, day trips to
Savannah, Beaufort & Charleston are all offered here. North Forest
Beach (located just north of Coligny Circle) is conveniently located
for all activities. Two parks are close by with outdoor grills,
picnic tables and playgrounds. Bike or walk to Coligny Plaza or Sea
Pines or ride on the hard sand of the beach. The beach area is very
quiet as if it were your own private beach making a peaceful day at
the beach for you and the family. Body surf the waves or take a long
peaceful walks to the south into the open Forest area where you can
see the birds of the marsh or head north along the beach by the
private homes in the Shipyard and Palmetto Dunes Plantations. Summer
months offer fireworks at Shelter Cove on Tuesday nights. Visit the
famous lighthouse in Sea Pines Resort at Harbour Town or the Salty
Dog at South Beach. Lots of shopping with all kinds of outlets on
the island and right across the bridge in Bluffton. Golfing available
either on the Island or off. Our favorite courses are Old South,
Palmetto Dunes (Arthur Hills Course) and Oyster Reef. Public tennis
courts are available at one of the parks by the home. Hilton Head
has something for everyone and that is why it is a destination that
people continue to come back to year after year to visit!
