Beautiful place situated right at the top of the Lake with an amazing view. Can’t get much closer to the water than this place! The kids all had a blast playing in the water. The shallow water was fantastic for kids, but a little tricky getting our boat in and out sometimes. Boat launch is only a few minutes away and easy to navigate. The owners were very responsive with all questions and their cottage is so cute and really tells their story! Thank you for the stay!
So glad you enjoyed your getaway from reality for a bit! We look forward to your next visit!
Wonderful family trip!
The home was clean, in a great location and just what we needed to relax and enjoy time together. We also took advantage of the proximity to Keuka State Park and walked there to let our little one play on the playground and then came back for lunch and to swim. Joan and Chris were very responsive and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to the next one!

Best Family Vacation
A quaint and charming cottage right on the lake with an incredible enclosed porch with a wall of screened windows and stunning view of the lake. Peaceful and relaxing setting. Our 17 and 19 year old Boys headed out morning and night to fish and they can't stop talking about different species and sizes. Great water to play in or float around and watch the sunset. We brought two floating lounge chairs and floated around daily. Enjoy the evening breeze coming through the screened porch at night, and the sound of waves lapping right outside the windows. Or a cup of coffee on rocking bench at the end of the dock in the morning. Just two examples of how special this location is. The cottage is 10 minutes from Penn Yan and anything you didn't bring you can get in town. Nice choices for take out food if you didn't want to cook. Watkins Glen is a nice 30 minute side trip if you want a change of pace one afternoon. And so many choices of wineries to visit, some just a few miles up the street. We definitely will stay here again. Joan and Chris were great hosts. We would highly recommend their property to a couple or family looking for a nice quiet getaway that may remind you of favorite family vacation as a kid or maybe this is the trip that your family will remember in the future. QKA Lake Stay
Great property in a excellent location. Had all the amenities we needed. Gradual lakefront into sand was excellent for our son to play/swim in the water. Adequate dock space for our boat. Located on a very quiet road that was not busy (15 mph speed limit) which was perfect for walks. Beautiful views everywhere you look. Owners were very helpful during check-in process and communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here for any length of time. Close to town of Branchport, QKA Lake State Park and our favorite restaurant: Lakeside Inn. Turns out we were distantly related to the neighbors!
All Weather Lake View
We have never stayed so close to the waters edge anywhere else! The sunporch was perfect for chilly weather lake views complete with bed, table, chairs & a couch too!

About Chris and Joan Johnson
Chris and Joan Johnson, owners. Both educators for 50 years in Brockport , NY. Joan's parents purchased the family cottage in 1964, where family gathered every summer throughout her childhood. Once it was time to pass the cottage on she and her husband took over responsibility and ownership. In the last few years they have personally enjoyed renovating during school vacations to enhance, yet keep the charm of this lovely vacation home.

Why Chris and Joan Johnson chose Town of Jerusalem
We were dedicated to keeping this property in the family after our father and mother purchased it in 1964. Many wonderful memories have been made there and many more are to come. Numbers of the same families remain neighbors and great friends from the past decades. It is our oasis, the place we long to be at as much as feasibly possible. For times we cannot be there ourselves, we love to offer it to other families to start to make similar memories of their own.
