About Linda Ann Remley
That's my dad and I at Tropicana watching the Red Sox from as close as you can get! I moved here with my own family in 1991 and Mom and Dad followed! We came for the arts but I have 9 SCUBA certifications too! I was a board member for 4 years at the Asolo, our state repertory theatre, performed at two local venues in a Noel Coward play and an original work and I was featured in an independent film which showed at the 2011 Sarasota Film Festival. I played a realtor which is called type-casting since that's what I do! There's nothing I don't know about the area (or at least can find out) and I'm available for questions!
Linda Ann Remley purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Linda Ann Remley chose Sarasota
This home captured my friend's imagination the moment she saw it and she had to have it! I was able to help make that happen and I agreed to manage the cottage while she travels. It's hard to say who has the better end of the deal! I was struck by the warmth of this home and how it reminded me of Carmel, California both inside and out. The second you drive in a wave of relaxation charms you into leaving the busy world behind!
What makes this Cottage unique
Although the home and backyard are tranquil, the hustle and bustle of Sarasota is two blocks away! You are near everything that everybody wants when they visit yet you return home to peace and quiet!

Our family had a terrific stay, during the week long wedding events. Thank you so much for sharing this home and giving them the coziness of being home while they were away.
This home was tastefully remodeled and furnished. The living room and kitchen are tiny, but functional. The lanai was where we spent most of our time when we were at the house. The location cannot be beat! The property owner was quite accommodating. The garage was not accessible, which was bad for us. We travel with our cat so having four feral cats in the back yard was not a good thing. We also loved the "artist studio" in the backyard to set up our office, but could not use it because it was full of the belongings of the woman who rented the house long term. But if you don't care about those things, it's a nice little house.
The situation with the cats has been resolved by Sarasota County and the artist studio has been cleared. We make every effort to respond to comments by our guests!
Sarasota is considered as the cultural mecca of the southeast and boasts the #1 beach in the USA! 5 live theater venues, opera, symphony, ballet all in residence during high season! Then there's the Sarasota film festival, the wine fest, the guerrilla theater festival, the global arts festival, season of sculpture on the bay, power boat races and so much more!
Watersports abound and instructors are available for wind-surfing, water-skiing, jet skis, sailing, scuba and boating. Don't forget to bring your pail and shovel and maybe you'll compete in the annual siesta key sand sculpting festival! Or bring your sidewalk chalk and enter the chalk festival!
Express your inner fashionista when you visit st. Armand's circle with it's many boutiques and fine dining. Don't forget to relax and enjoy the people watching, from every corner of the globe while you relish an ice cream from one of the 4 vendors on the circle.
Downtown Sarasota and the bay front feature art galleries, fine jewelry, gorgeous Persian rugs, bridal boutiques and consignment stores. The gourmand will be in heaven at our primo restaurants original to Sarasota and featuring Italian, Moroccan, Mexican, Indian, Greek and good old American menus!
There are little jewels of neighborhoods scattered throughout town: find towels court for your inner artist and enjoy lunch as though in Provence, burns court features an art cinema, more original great restaurants, little shops, gulf gate has microbreweries, European restaurants and shops with authentic goods, a real German metzgerai and more for the adventurous palate!
