We are delighted to receive this excellent review. The comments clearly justify our decision to market our property to appeal to this type of family and provide the maximum degree of comfort for a two week stay. They enjoyed the hottest Summer weather for many years and, thanks to our investment in air conditioning, were able to sleep soundly at night.

A big thank you to this nice family for their excellent review. The only criticism we would make is their description of our property as an apartment. It is, of course, a self contained, detached, three bedroom villa, as per our details on line. Maybe the VRBO translation into their language needs checking?

We were flattered to read such a comprehensive and glowing review of our villa. This is our "home from home" for at least 5 months a year and we keep everything to the high standards we expect for ourselves. It is always a pleasure to share the experience with our Summer guests, while we are catching up with our main home in England. Regular upgrades to the equipment and furnishings ensure that our guests can expect to find everything they need for a great holiday. Over the years we have developed the garden and the vine covered terrace to provide a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. One of our best investments was to install air conditioning in all the bedrooms - indispensable in the extreme heat of this Summer! We do hope to see these guests again.

Very disappointed to read this as it refers to his experiences with the local environment and does not reflect the quality of the villa and its amenities, which have always been rated excellent, none of which have been reviewed. The rental was during the hottest part of the French heatwave with temperatures reaching over 40 degrees most afternoons. It is difficult to relax in such heat. We do not advertise air conditioning for the main living area as it is not normally an issue. The three bedroom systems are normally sufficient to keep the whole villa cool. if used correctly in conjunction with the ceiling fan and portable fans to distribute the cool air. The disturbance from nearby building works was not expected and appears to have been a one-off job, carried out in the cooler parts of the day. There is no such work planned in future years as the construction is now complete. The works were stopped after his complaint and an apology given. Being after the main French holiday season had ended, one might have expected the neighbours to be carrying on their normal work. The villa is not part of a managed holiday complex, but part of a local, normally quiet, neighbourhood. The region is home to many species of ant. Our advice has always been to avoid dropping and leaving food on the surfaces, or they will soon find it! Ant repellents are always left for our visitors to use. We will, of course, use the comments made to help us further improve the enjoyment of the villa by our future guests.

This is is a splendid review. This family clearly had a wonderful time and we would be pleased to welcome them again. We will continue to look at ways to improve the facilities where this can be done without having to raise rental prices.

We were glad to welcome this family who spent their holiday at the height of the Summer heatwave. The air conditioned bedrooms and private pool would have been much appreciated in the high temperatures day and night.

So nice to see that all our hard work to create a nice environment for our guests has paid off in customer satisfaction. Without the investment in air conditioning throughout the house, the exceptional heatwave our guests have experienced this Summer would have seriously affected their enjoyment of the holiday. We were delighted with the comments on the kitchen, which we have equipped and continuously upgraded to meet our own high standards of cooking.

A great review from this nice family. As a small group, 2 adults and 2 young children, they clearly found the spaciousness of the villa and gardens a major factor in creating the ideal conditions for a relaxing break, "away from it all"! This year, despite the extreme heatwave, our vine covering the terrace has flourished, creating a magical area of shade for outdoor entertainment in the heat of the day and throughout the evening. The pool, as always, offers crystal clear water to soothe away the heat of the Southern sun!

What a great review from this friendly family group. Clearly, all our efforts to make the villa an ideal holiday venue have been appreciated. The air conditioned bedrooms must have been a life saver in the unusually strong heatwave that affected most of France this year. We recorded 45.5C as the peak daytime temperature, with many nights not falling below 30C! Our automatic watering systems saved the garden from destruction by the heat, so that our guests were able to enjoy the ambience, and the flowers, throughout their stay.

We think this is a very fair review of the villa, which is well suited to two couples with children. Clearly, all facilities were found to be exactly as described in our web pages. Our experience with this family was very good throughout our dealings and we are delighted that they had a great time. They are very welcome anytime in the future.

We were so pleased to see these comments! As this is our second home for nearly half of the year, we have equipped the villa with everything we would expect to use in our main house. We are so glad that our guests can benefit from these same amenities during their stay. We are always looking out for more ways to improve the facilities and have tried to add new features each year. This year we improved the main terrace roof by extending the tiled area and, in the kitchen, we fitted a new top of the range AEG electric oven.

We were very happy to let our villa to this family. They were very easy to deal with and made clear to us the facilities and services they required for a three week holiday. It seems we were able to meet their requirements to their full satisfaction. The weather was extremely hot throughout their stay, so we are glad they appreciated how cool the villa can be, even in such extreme summer heat. We do hope to see them again in future.

As this is our own home for 50% of each year we wouldn't expect to offer any lower standards of accommodation. Our investment in air conditioning was clearly the right thing to do in our Mediterranean climate; it's consistently the hottest and driest part of France at this time of year. We are glad that the welcome pack of basic food and drink essentials was appreciated. It can save a late shopping trip after a long and sometimes difficult journey by road and allows our guests to settle quietly in the villa before taking a short trip to a local restaurant for a relaxing dinner.

A very nice review from a charming family. Coming from a cooler part of the world, they would certainly have appreciated our investment in air conditioning the bedrooms. Our region is regularly the hottest part of France during late July and August and cool bedrooms are a must! We are also glad to see that our villa manager and housekeeper are maintaining the pool, gardens and services to our normal high standards. We look forward to welcoming this family again.
