Why Craig Cherrington chose Ojochal
We travelled for the first time to Costa Rica in 2015 and fell in love with the area.I hope you enjoy it at as much as we do!
What makes this House unique
We looked at many houses in the area and bought this one for the panoramic ocean view, fantastic pool, bright cheeriness of the house, and great location to restaurants beaches, and the abundance of wildlife.

Relaxing & comfortable
We stayed with our young kids (6 and 4 years old) a total of six days and we loved it. The house is perfectly equipped, more than expected. We did not have to use the air conditioning, the ceiling fans were more than enough. The neighborhood is really quiet and friendly. And the pool is what makes La Casa Cereza a perfect place. It's located about 10 minutes drive up the mountain from the main road, enough to reach some altitude, ocean breeze and better view. And we found that the closest beach, playa Tortuga, is only 5 minutes from the same road and best for daily use while plenty others are still not that further away. It's managed by professionals and everyone including the owner are super cooperative and available. We strongly recommend La Casa Cereza.
Thank you for your kind words! We found that you were very easy to work with and left our home in perfect condition after your stay. We both wish you the best and home you can come again next year!

Great base from which to explore
Ojochal is a wonderful place from which to explore the surrounding area. Casa Cereza's 2 bedrooms and 1 large bathroom was perfect for us: 2 couples. The pool and the view are great at the beginning and the end of the day. Only the bedrooms have AC but this would only be a problem if you are staying at the house all day.which we were not. To stay here a 4x 4 is important because the location is towards the end of a gravelly/ rocky road and about 3.5 km from the Costanera sur .village turn off.
Privacy and Wonderful Owners
This comfortable 2 bedroom home was perfect for our first trip to Costa Rica. It is quite a drive from the San Jose airport but a beautiful drive the entire way. Once you get off the main highway, the road to the home is quite bumpy and steep towards the end. But, once you get to the home it is nothing but relaxation. The air conditioning in each bedroom was very welcome to us who are not used to humidity. Along this line, the private pool was amazing!! We were in it everyday. I didn't get the opportunity to see much wildlife - only one lizard, and several birds - but we had a pet frog a couple of days that enjoyed the pool as well. The owners/managers were very accommodating when we had to cut our trip short. The home was near several beaches, Uvita and Dominical. Although I wouldn't suggest staying here if you do not have a vehicle. The price was wonderful. We were happy with our choice in accommodations for our first trip to Costa Rica. I would have given it 5 stars, but the road dropped it down.
Thank you for your kind words, normally the howler monkeys wake you up each day in addition to the other wild life! We hope you will come back next year:)
