Do you want to......get back to the simple life and take a moment to breath... walk barefoot in the morning... catch lightening bugs in the evenings... hang your towels on a cloths line... hear a hoot owl... swing on a porch swing... sit by a pond and read a good book... watch a magical sunset... walk in the woods?
Sunset Ridge is all of that and more... perfect for a couple, a family or your group of friends wanting to get away. As you walk in the door, you immediately feel the joy and love of this home. A stone wood burning fireplace in the front room which is connected to the newly remodeled kitchen with custom made cabinets, all stainless steel appliances and a one of a kind island made of a 4" thick slab of Walnut. The sunroom/dining area (can seat 10) has 100 year old beams and a wall of gorgeous sassafras wood and the other walls are a bank of windows and huge sliding glass door to take full advantage of the mountain ridge view. The sunroom/dining room also has a porch off the back where you can sit and relax while chatting with your loved ones or best friend. Outside there is an actual cloths line and another deck for more chairs and a fire pit made out of bricks. Stroll down the back yard to a small pond and who knows what you might see... frogs, turtles, raccoons, deer, turkey, squirrels, chipmunk, rabbits... Blackberry bushes are everywhere, there is nothing better than fresh blackberries just picked.
Conveniently located 10 minutes (approx. 8 miles) from Leipers Fork Village. The village is a very special place with something happening all the time. You can stop by Puckets for their world famous hamburger and BBQ while listening to live music in between visiting all the local shops. Franklin is 25 minutes down the road (voted "best small town") which has great little shops and places to eat on the square. Nashville is 30 miles away. We are one of those married couples who still love and like each other after 27 years!
Ed & Tina White purchased this house in 1999
We drove out in the area every weekend with our three little boys and best dog Grace with the dream of "one day we will live out here" We wanted to raise our boys outside of the city, so they could run thru creeks, explore the woods, swim in a real pond and have all types of adventures that boys need. That "one day" happened quickly when someone walked up to our house in Nashville one day and bought it literally "right out from under us"
The minute we walked on the back porch and witnessed the beautiful view Ed said "We are home" and the rest is history. The boys did run thru the creek, had adventures in the woods and swam in a real pond just like we always hoped with the best dog Grace at their sides constantly.
Tina was very accommodating and easy to work with! She went out of her way to make sure we had fire wood and coffee. The house is well kept, clean, and well decorated, suited our needs for two families with two small kids. Would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area!
Our family of 8 spent the summer in this hidden treasure. It was everything we thought it would be and more! Ed and Tina are amazing and so accommodating. The views of the sunset were breathtaking! We spent the summer playing games on the big dining room table, catching tadpoles in the stream, playing baseball in the yard and eating donuts at the local donut shop in Fairview!
The house is clean and uniquely decorated! We highly recommend this property!
You won't want to leave... We didn't!
Tina and Ed have gone above and beyond in creating a memorable Christmas for my family. Their house has been remodeled in a comfortable and inviting way. From the moment we opened the door we were in awe of what awaited us. They even included a few Christmas decorations to help us celebrate with a lighted and decorated tree and poinsettia plants. We truly enjoyed celebrating with family from as far away as Seattle to as near as Franklin. The beds were comfy, they had a great supply of new towels. The porch off the dining room was a great place to hang out during the unusually warm weather. On one of the cooler nights we had a fire in the fireplace. And, since it was a week stay it was nice to have a washer and dryer available. Tina was kind enough to let us in early and was available by phone and texting on a moment's notice.
Way more beautiful than pictures. Very clean and lovely decor.
My family spent this past weekend at Sunset Ridge in Leiper's Fork, TN. We loved our time there. The house was beautiful and cozy. Tina went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was so nice and accommodating. The setting is so peaceful. It was the perfect place to enjoy our time together.
The Clarks will definitely be returning to Sunset Ridge.
Thanks again, Tina.
If you want to experience more than being in a magical spot (what the boys always say) and little slice of heaven...
Leipers Fork is a short 10 minute beautiful drive down a tree lined country road where you can listen to live music, browse thru an old book store, shop for antiques or art galleries, eat anything from BBQ to organic food and during the season outdoor movies are playing on the weekends. There is some type of event happening all the time. Sit on the porch and talk with the locals. Everyone is kind and happy - just like Mayberry!
Franklin is a 30 minute drive down the road where there is an actual "town square". Voted "best southern town to visit". Shops, great food and lots of history. Visit the Visitors Center, those folks always love to share information and news about the area. They can set you up with tours telling about the Battle of Franklin.
Nashville approximately 40 minutes down the road is always a treat. Sports, Entertainment, Shopping, Restaurants... World Famous Tootsies on Broadway is always a fun place to go as well as tours of the Ryman.
Fairview is 5 minutes away. Fairview is a little place that is starting to grow. Take a trip there and visit Bowie Nature Park, which is one of the largest city managed parks in the state of Tennessee, miles of trails and a wonderful playground for the kids along with a lake to fish or just visit with the ducks. Quick place to get in and out of for basic needs.
This area is really the best of the best...
We know you will feel the same... never want to leave.
