Started out the hot tub water was cold couldn't use it till next day after it warmed up, then the indoor and outdoor fireplaces didn't work, cheap toilet paper,cheap paper towels,out door furniture dirty,fixture loose in bathroom, tub drain overflows into floor in upstairs shower ,chandelier broken in main living room area,outdoor grill needs cleaned out,outdoor fire pit needs cleaned out,other than that good fishing hole,not very private.

So so dirty

This property has not been cared for. The king mattress had a giant brown stain, the dining room had dirty spots all over it, the air filters were full of dust, the dishes were dirty, the dishwasher had a terrible smell coming from it. There was a list of broken items listed on a note from the previous renter. The chairs by the fire pit were cheap fold up chairs. For the price this owner charges, I expected a clean place. This place is not clean. There were many other things wrong with the property but my main concern was how dirty it was. I would not recommend staying here. We stayed for a few hours because we arrived late at 730pm and couldn’t find another place to go. We left by 8am the next morning. I regret renting this home.

Lakefront?

The cabin was very nice. It was clean, nicely decorated, the appliances were great, the cabin itself was very good. The problem I have is that on VRBO this property is described as "lakefront" "water front" and "water view", and when I arrived, I was very disappointed to discover than not one drop of water was visible from the property. To be fair, it does say at the bottom of the property description that the lake is drained October through March. I will accept my part of the blame, I assumed that this referenced a lowering of the water level, which is what actually happens. The part I did not foresee, is that this property sits on a small inlet and not on the main body of water itself. The inlet on which this property sits turned out to be completely dry. Not one drop of water was visible from the cabin or any of the decks. My wife and I take a trip to this area every fall. The one prerequisite for choosing a cabin is that it is on the water. I usually stay on a stream, this year I decided to change it up and stay on a lake. In narrowing down my choices, I would not have even considered this property had I know the water would be so low that there wasn't any within sight of the cabin. I don't feel the vague reference to the lake being drained was clear enough. I do not feel the property description of "lake front" "lake view" is accurate or sufficient. (It certainly wasn't in my case) In retrospect, I should have investigated further. I would have enjoyed sitting on one of the decks, enjoying the view of the lake. I feel that anyone considering a rental that is listed as "lake front" should be very directly informed that there is no water in the lake within proximity of the property. Another minor thing I will mention. I have been blessed to have enjoyed numerous vacation rentals for most of my adult life. This was the first rental I have ever encountered in which the television package does not include ESPN. For many people, this is a non-factor, for me, being a huge college football fan, and looking forward to watching football for a large portion of the day Saturday, I was very disappointed that ESPN was not available. In summary, I mean no ill-will or malice toward anyone. If you don't care about the lake view or ESPN, this is a nice rental.

Dandridge Dump

My family and I were super excited to stay in this cabin, unfortunately upon arrival that quickly changed. We stayed during the month of October and we were unaware that the lake is drained from October-March. I had two little boys super excited to fish but there was no lake at the cabin to fish. The cleanliness of the cabin was awful. We have a 10 month old who crawls/walks and the floors were not cleaned well. The kitchen utensils were dirty. I had to wash them before I could even begin to cook my family breakfast. I am not talking about just some water stains, like stuck on food. The coffee pot was not cleaned, I went to make my morning coffee and the filter, as well as the inside of the maker was moldy. There was absolutely no internet and cell service at the property unless we stood on the upstairs balcony, and that was spotty at best. We spoke to the owner about this and her response is that she gave my husband the account number and to call the provider to see what we could do to get it fixed, because that's what we want to do on vacation. Speaking of the upstairs balcony, the door to go outside is almost impossible to get open. It sticks so bad. You have to tug so hard that we were afraid it was going to break. The downstairs back door was difficult to open as well. During our stay, the water throughout the cabin went out. Something to do with the well pump. The owner was quick with getting someone out and having it fixed before we came back from our days activities. But the inconvenience of not having water with 3 small children was horrible. I was able to give my oldest son a shower in the downstairs bathroom but low and behold, that shower does not drain and the shower floor was dirty and gritty feeling. Did not feel clean even after showering. I was going to let all of these things go because things happen and I know how rentals can be, but when the water went out, that was the last straw. All of these little things put together really put a damper on our stay at the cabin. I reached out to the owner about how unhappy we were with our stay and that the water issue was the last straw and I told her the issues I mentioned above and her response was that nothing is perfect and that she had to pay a lot of money to have the water fixed the same day. I am a mother of 3 small children, believe me, I am well aware that nothing is "perfect" but I do expect things to be in working order, descriptions to match the property, and clean.

Don’t stay

We walked in to a horrendous cabin filled with fruit flies, dirty towels on the floor, dirty dishes, unmade beds, dirty linens, the shower and sink drainage in the lower bathroom drained improperly causing cumulation of water. Due to this misfortune event it put us a day behind in our itinerary.

Great location, Beautiful cabin, poor amenities

This cabin is in an ideal location on the lake and is beautiful outside and inside. Multiple decks and good steps down a not too steep slope to the lake. If they can fix the problems, it's a great place to stay. First, there were no towels when we arrived and we had to make 3 phone calls and one text to get them 24 hours later - which was a big problem. There was trash scattered all over the outside deck under the trash cans and the back deck was not clean and had a makeshift cushion on the swing. One inexpensive plastic chair split in two while we were there and my husband hit his head on the deck. It just cracked apart. The sheets were not in great shape - very worn. But the biggest problem was that the living area had only 1 comfortable seat - the sofa. The other chairs were hard dining chairs that looked old and frayed. Not comfortable to sit and watch TV. The dining furniture in the online photos was absent and it was replace by a spindly wood table with a plastic cover and cheap plastic chairs that anyone over 140lb might be afraid of. The end tables had bent legs and were wobbly. And the cable was only the basic channels. Not a room you could relax and be comfortable in. The pull out bed had a big dip in the middle and was uncomfortable. It is beautifully remodeled and then has shabby uncomfortable furniture - didn't match the quality of the cabin. We way overpaid for the quality and condition of the accommodations. I wish someone had shared these problems before I overpaid to stay here.

Great location, beautiful cabin, UNCOMFORTABLE furniture

This is a gorgeous cabin in a fabulous location and has wonderful decks and boat dock. There was 1 sofa in the living room and 3 hard, old dining chairs so there was no relaxing in that room. Tables had bent legs and were wobbly. Beds were not great either. Had to make 3 calls and 1 text to get towels and then didn't get them until 24 hours after we checked in - very unresponsive. Only basic cable TV so that disappointed some of our group. Rugs were worn and not clean, had to clean microwave. So IF the cleaning was better, they added some comfortable furniture/mattresses and were more responsive to problems it would be a great place to stay. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I wish I had been alerted to the shabbiness before I decided to spend the money I spent renting here.

Great cabin, wonderful owners!

Rented this cabin for my son’s 16th birthday fishing trip. It was just the 3 of us, but there was plenty of room and room for a couple more. We chose this cabin because of the great reviews and it is right on the lake. One of the owners, Jean, was wonderful to text with and answered any questions I had. While we were there another owner came to replace the mulching. He was super nice too. You can tell they really cared about the cabin and your stay. Would definitely stay again!

Girls trip

The property was a wonderful get away for our girls weekend. We greatly enjoyed the amenities, beautiful porches, fire pit and the awesome picnic tables. This place has a wonderful cabin feel with modern appliances and touches to it. Our only issue was that the road was closed leading into the property and the property contact had no idea where to send us as an alternative route and was not aware of the closure. Thankfully we found an alternate route, but recommend providing clear instructions for those coming from the east.

Beautiful home!

This property is very beautiful and clean. Lots of space and it had all of the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kids enjoyed going down to the floating dock. Only wished the water level was higher but we came too early in the year. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the remotes for the DVD players and weren’t able to get any movies so work on the tv, so those were our only disappointments. Also would advise to give more detailed instructions on how to use the front door keypad, as it’s a little tricky. Overall we had an awesome stay!

Family Getaway.

Very nice cabin, very clean, spacious, exactly as in the photos. The kitchen is well equipped. I love that it was a short distance from everywhere we wanted to go, pigeon forge, Gatlinburg. It was great to return to a peaceful quiet place after a long and busy day with the kids. Love Love the bathroom and the hot tub. Pictures don't do justice, this place is a gem. Communication was awesome, definitely will book again when coming back to the area.

Cute cabin

We enjoyed relaxing in the cabin. We slept well, enjoyed the hot tub, grilled out on the grill, and played games in the cabin. There were a few basics missing from the kitchen (can opener and measuring cup) but other than that, it was very nice. The bathrooms were so unique and nicely done and my kids had fun in the lift with the game tables. We also had a nice fire in the fire pit. It was a nice place to relax with our family.

Great little getaway!

My wife and I went for a quick little get away. We had an awesome time! Everything was just as described in the listing. It was noted that the lake was drained for winter, we actually had no idea how much water was actually removed. It was pretty interesting actually. We even walked down off the dock and walked in where the lake would have been. Would stay again if we were in the area!

Cozy and spacious cabin in woods

Very nice cabin, very clean, spacious, exactly as in the photos. I love that it was a short distance from everywhere we wanted to go, pigeon forge, gatlinberg, Dollywood. Nice to return to peaceful quiet place after a long and busy day with the kids and lots of people everywhere we went. Will definitely book again when coming back to the area!

Property was just ok

The property was nice but I was surprised to find it right off the main road when we got there. Thank goodness it's not a busy road. The back yard is the best part of this property. We only had 6 adults but the cabin is small to be advertised for 8 people - it might sleep 8 but way too tight for 8 people. The couch in the main living space was super small, dirty and uncomfortable . The bed sheets in the master smelled moldy and are super over wore. I had to wash the sheets after our first night. The TV in the main living space placed way to high to enjoy while sitting on the couch. The TV in the master bedroom placed way to low because the bed is high. Surprised to have found the master had no private bath it was in the hall along with the closet. The bathrooms were really nice and upgraded but water pressure was low and the toilet in the down stairs bathroom kept clogging up. The WIFI was a GREAT disappointment - IT WAS AWFUL. This cabin is a little remote so we had major issues with reception. We had to use our device mobile hot spots. The back porch was not cleaned of leaves and it wasn't like it was a fresh fall of leaves it was an accumulation of days. I had to broom the front and the back to have it look nice. We didn't use the chairs around the fire pit because it was very cold and snowing but they ARE NOT what is advertised - old folding chairs. I did very much appreciate having a Christmas tree all ready for our arrival. This property is nice and cozy but needs furniture updates and better property management. I feel we over paid compared to the other properties that were advertised. Ohh one more thing - I found out after I placed my reservation that they drain the lake in the winter. bummer

Porch Swing was the best!

The property was clean and neat. The best part is the outside decks and the proximity to the lake. The floors are very, very squeaky so any moving around during the night is heard by the entire cabin. The seating in the living area could be updated. Other than that all was good.

Cozy

Loved the cabin and the property. Fire Pitt is always good times, I would just suggest some sturdier seating out there around the fire. Also dwn at the dock at night and looking up at all the stars was amazing!

Cute Cabin, perfect weekend getaway

Cabin was very cute, clean and had everything we needed. The porch swing needed new cushions as we couldn’t use it and and the plastic chairs around the fire pit were so cheap that they were a little dangerous. Other than the outdoor furniture, everything else was great!

Amazing cabin!

This cabin was amazing and super clean! My family and I have a pontoon boat. Having the private dock made it super easy to enjoy the lake and pull up to the cabin anytime we wanted to.
