The county says it's a ski in ski out condo. Copper One Lodge is situated next to and between the two lifts in the Center Village. The streets are heated so unless you want to give your skis a quick base sanding, take your skis off and walk the 50 or so steps to your ski locker in the lobby of Copper One Lodge. There are some true ski in ski out condos at Copper, they're over 40 years old. If you like to build a fire with wood, then those condos might be good. If you'd rather flip a switch for the fire, then our condo is what you desire.
We live in Golden and have skied all over Colorado and California. We love Copper for the variety of terrain and the ease of access, it's right off I-70!

When we looked into buying a condo we only searched in Copper One Lodge. It's the closest condo the lifts in the Center Village. We wanted to walk as little as possible in our ski boots. Copper Mountain is our favorite place to ski. It's easy to find and easy to navigate once you're here. There are no cars in the village.
You can drive up in a blizzard and park your car the heated underground parking garage, load your things on a luggage cart and take the elevator to your retreat.
We typically don't see our car until we are ready to leave. You have everything you need in this quaint European style village with heated streets that are oriented to get full sun during the day.
There is a grocery store, many restaurants, ice skating and equipment rentals in Copper One Lodge.
Copper Mountain is a family friendly resort that caters to both beginner and advanced skiers. Beginners can ski green runs from near the top of the mountain and enjoy incredible high mountain vistas not seen on beginner slopes at other resorts. Advanced skiers can find steep snow covered bowls above tree-line and it's all easily accessible. There are some giant jumps for the boarders and Woodward allows you to perfect your flips and tricks inside with foam landing pits year round.

This condo is the closest condo to the lifts in the Center Village at Copper Mountain. There's nothing closer.
Copper replaced both lifts in the Center Village with 6-person chair lifts. The Eagle has a gondola every fifth "chair". So, you walk out of our condo with skis in hand and tighten your boots in the gondola on the way up. Then you can choose to just ski up to the lift for your next run. The best of both worlds.
