About Dawna Henderson or Pierre Mathieu
I'm an Ex Internet Advertising Executive and Pierre is a Marine and Residential Master Electrical Contractor (and the Martha Stewart of home repair) Pierre is originally from Montreal and speaks fluent French and attended McGill University. I founded and owned a Digital Ad Agency (henderson bas) for 13 years and Pierre still continues to work here and there in Toronto and the Caribbean.. We both love Grand Turk. We have been coming to the island for over 12 years and have decided to semi-retire here. In fact we eloped here three years ago. Pierre and I are both detailed oriented people and love to take care of our property. I don't like to boast but I have great taste so the interior of the Suites are nicely decorated and Pierre loves to build and fix stuff. We're both service oriented people and take great pride in making Reef House a place you'll want to tell your friends and family about and return to again and again.

Why Dawna Henderson or Pierre Mathieu chose Cockburn Town
It's unlike any other island in the Caribbean. Not too many people know of Grand Turk and that's what makes it so special. It's one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean. You don't have to dress up for dinner unless you want to, or sit on a beach with hundreds of other tourists. Yes there are things to do in the evening and more than enough activities during the day, but if you want to shop or go to nightclubs you won't find them here in Grand Turk. The people are great and the marine life is fantastic. You can visit other Cays each having their own charm - Salt Cay or Gibbs Cay.
What makes this Apartment unique
If you love animals like we do, you're in for a big treat. It boasts the 3rd largest barrier reef system in the world (7,000 barrier reef wall). So the diving is spectacular as well as the snorkelling. From December to mid-March, you can sometimes spot Humpback Whales from your very own veranda. You may even catch a pod of Dolphins swimming right past your Beachfront Suite. There are also wild donkeys and horses all over the island. We offer each Suite a Weber propane BBQ should you wish to dine on freshly caught fish caught that afternoon that can be purchased down the street at the local fish market. We provide two complimentary bicycles so you can take in the sites of this unique island. Our suites face the national marine park and the 7,000-foot barrier reef- so take our paddle boards (no charge) and paddle out to the reef. We want to offer our guests everything we look for when we travel. Accommodations that are super clean, well maintained, nicely decorated, TV with cable, Internet and a great bathroom with endless hot water and great water pressure. It also has to be right on the water. Reef House has all of this and more. - Very Safe Island - Queen Size Bed - Close to all bars, grocery stores, restaurants - Screened in Veranda - facing the Caribbean Ocean - west - spectacular sunsets - Big Wooden Deck facing the ocean - Newly Built - Completed January 2016 - Directly on the Beach - roll out of bed and you're in the turquoise water - White sand & crystal clear water - Free airport transfers - Complimentary bikes - 2 per suite - Complimentary paddle boards - Great water pressure - Weber™ Propane BBQ - Complimentary filtered water & ice - Water noodles - Umbrellas & Beach Chairs/Lounges

Just as beautiful as we remembered it. It is the best location on this little island.
Excellent home steps away from the beach
Wonderful home just steps from the beach. Appreciated the screened in porch, the comfortable bed, the A/C, the water filter system, the grill, etc. Bought fresh fish (mahi & snapper) from the fish "market" just a couple doors down from the home. We did not get to meet the home owners, but Kristen and Henry, who also happen to run an excellent dive/snorkel shop (Blue Water Divers), took amazing care of us. Were also fortunate enough to meet Tony from Bob & Ancie, Cool Rides Taxi. He was most helpful. One other tip, find Annette's for excellent pizza while you are down there. Amazing trip overall and would recommend the house. thank you!
Thanks for the awesome review. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Sorry we missed meeting you both.
Thank you for choosing Reef House. We appreciate the business..
Peaceful and quite location
If you are looking for a place to reboot and get away for a quite retreat this is the place for you. The crystal clear beach is steps away. Great snorkeling and they also have paddle boards that we were able to use. The kitchen was fully equipped to make meals. The location is great because you aren’t to far away from anything you need. It might take a day or two to adjust to the way the island operates, but Dawna is great help with this. Wonderful time on our honeymoon!!
Had everything needed to enjoy paradise.
Visiting governors beach is a must. Comfortable bed. Thanks for the sweet golf cart.
WOW that is the shortest review we have ever had. :)
Glad you had a great time.
The Reef House was awesome. Dawna the owner was amazing and very accommodating. We loved it!
The Reef House was in a spectacular location. It was beachy, cozy, and had amazing views and just steps to the turquoise water. Everything was included: paddle boards, snorkel eq. BBQ grill, etc. Dawna the owner was amazing, down to earth and personable. She made us feel so comfortable. She even included use of a golf cart to explore Cockburn Town & the Cruise Center. The weather & water were perfect. Five doors down the beach fishermen arrive with their catch of the day at 5pm daily and sell it. We got a huge 5 pound lobster . They prepared it for cooking and we brought it back to Reef House to grill on the Weber that’s included with the rental. You can walk the beach either way for miles. The locals are so friendly. It’s an English speaking island and their currency is US dollars. We walked to the store and felt very safe. Sometimes friendly island dogs would accompany us to the store or to explore. If you love animals bring a big bag of dog treats! It’s also neat to see the donkeys and an occasional horse walk by you. The locals and tourists feed the stray dogs well. They are not frail like on some other islands I’ve been to. They’re all up for adoption too! We wished we could take one or more but we already have 3 dogs....we’re still contemplating one particular dog. You can walk the beach for miles in either direction. Our first day we got up early with our coffee and walked about 4 miles to and from the cruise port. If you’re thinking about it, go! It was amazing. Thank you Dawna for making our trip so memorable! I’m sorry we didn’t get to meet Pierre. ❤️ Holly & Chris Mayfield NY
Hi Holy & Chris,
Thank you very much for the fantastic review. Getting reviews like this makes it all worth it. We're glad we could share our little corner of the world with you.
Duckie, India, Frankie & Sandi (the Potcake you are thinking about - no pressure) Miss you and say ruff. xo
And again, thank you for choosing Reef House.

Donna and Pierre were wonderful hosts, very accommodating, helpful, generous, cared about guests
Best location on the Island, great diving, great people, far from the cruise shippers, quiet, an interesting local fish market just before sunset, great deck for sundowners, loved Grand Turk, house has everything you need, lots of love to you folks and your dogs
REEF HOUSE IS LOCATED ON GRAND TURK - NOT PROVENCIALES
It's a separate island from Provo.
Coming from the Continental U.S or Canada fly to Provenciales, Turks & Caicos and then take a 20 minute local flight from Provenciales to Grand Turk. You will be picked up by Reef House - No airport transfer fees for pick-up and return to airport.
Airlines: WestJet, Air Canada, JetBlue, United, Delta, American Airlines
Grand Turk :
If you want great shopping and night clubs, Grand Turk is not for you. It however is one of the best islands in the T&C. It's more bohemian in it's vibe. It's laid back and chilled. Unlike Provo you can whip around the island in a golf cart. If you love the water there is lots to do. The diving and snorekling here is some of the best in the world. From Dec to the beginning of March you will witness the Humpback Whales - amazing sight.
