Lovely house & area. Rained out!
House was excellent. Lots of room. Comfy beds, sofas and deck. Excellent place to chill out. Owners had it well equipped for our stay. Excellent linens provided. Fire pit is really nice. Access to the the river was a disappointment. Has to cross on one hole on golf course, which is a busy place. Golfers acted like we were trespassing. Had to go through hedge to get to river, but It was lovely to sit the first night and hear the river from the deck & firepit. Rest of week was too rainy and wet. Used hot tub first night and enjoyed it right before the rain started. Great location for access to Blue Ridge Parkway. Front of house faces a huge wall of Rhododendrons. Can only imagine how beautiful it must be in June when they are blooming. Don’t miss Roaring Fork Falls. Beautiful and easy to get to; nice walk to it. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making it so nice.
Nice house. Good for families. 4-6. In middle of mountains. Be prepared for twisty turning roads.
House is in a very nice setting. In the middle of mountains. Very good for families. House needs a deep cleaning. House smelled like dog or dirty feet when we entered. Constantly having to lysol. Odor where washer and dryer are. Probably mop. Water from refrigerator leaked. Vents dusty. Mold on shower curtain in master bath. I did like this house however. Very accomodating. Deck beautiful. Relaxing. House just needs some TLC, updates and a deep cleaning.
I wish they would of told someone as it would have benn addressed asap, as for there was a mop left in by washer that could have been put outside. Refrigerator had water leaking because they didn't shut door to freezer over nite and it froze at bottom so door never closed all the way their entire stay so it ran 24-7! Ugh!!
Fixed small problems asap.
Hard to fix what is not shared.
Thanks for looking.
Great house on a beautiful golf course and mountain stream.
This rental is fantastic. Great golf, excellent trout fishing and tons of hiking opportunities. There are two waterfall hikes within minutes. The house is clean, very well equipped and very spacious. The huge deck is great for enjoying the scenery and listening to the soothing sounds of the South Toe River.
Beautiful home in very pleasant setting.
Coldest week of the year, a little snow and a wonderfully comfortable home. We loved it.
Great location terrific view Comfortable
The owners took great care to ensure adequate room in refrigerator and freezer and the kitchen was well stocked. Great farm animal waffle maker. Easy to find and very convenient to Mt Mitchell state park and Blue Ridge Parkway. I would def stay again and highly recommend
Love the South Toe River Rd area... lots of hiking options around Black Mountain Campground or just walking around golf course neighborhood.
House is spacious, great layout, could use good spring cleaning but overall comfortable.
We love outdoors and there is a big deck out back ,but unfortunately not roof covered. When we stayed there we had few rainy days, we were "stuck" inside. Don't count on chilling outside during rain...but if no rain, great area for walking or hiking !!
Overall ,i would definitely recommend this place !!
