My husband, I and our 9 year old son thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home that is beautiful inside and out. Our son attended a local day camp so he was home evenings and Saturday and we adults had some time to relax on our own. There is so much to enjoy. The gorgeous ocean view from the spacious deck and from most rooms in the house, the lovely outdoor cooking/dining area on the inland side and the tasteful and comfortable interior. Our son enjoyed riding his scooter around the campground next door and sitting in the hot tub on the deck. We also went to a Saturday night sing along at the campground. The yard is not fenced and there are some steep drop offs. We felt comfortable with our 9 year old but it might not be good for a small child. There is a steep hill going to the beach so we decided not to haul chairs down there and we spent our time on the deck enjoying the panoramic view. One day we walked to Capitola for lunch (about 40 mins. each way).
Liz, the property manager, met us at the house at check in. She was very helpful and pleasant.
Situated within New Brighton Beach State Park, hiking trails abound. Walk to Capitola Village when the tide is out. To the South you can walk for miles on the white sandy beaches of Seacliff State Beach, Rio Del Mar and beyond. Santa Cruz is just a 10 minute drive North.
