The property was amazing. A ton of comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen supplies, and so many fun activities available. Our group especially loved the basketball court and frisbee golf but there was a ton of other games available too. Location was great too, removed enough from town to feel nice and secluded but still close enough to get downtown very quickly.

This place was amazing! Talking to hosts was easy, very responsive, friendly, never annoyed with me reaching out or asking questions! Place is huge and amazing. Space for 18 adults, we played volleyball out front, we had a fire out back, Played pool, used every area in the house for cards! We were always on the porch relaxing, it really is such an amazing place. 10 minutes from the beach, 8 minutes from south haven, 2 minutes from a great ice cream place! The house has a very long driveway and my 2 yr old could play chalk while I ran in or while we were playing volleyball. The pictures are a perfect representation of what is there! HighlyRecommend!

Wonderful time

Our whole family (12 adults 5 young boys) had a great week. A large, fully stocked kitchen (dishes, appliances small and large) was available to us and a very thoughtful and attentive host. Fantastic Weekend Getaway

Great overall experience. We had a group of 12 guys for a weekend getaway. Large kitchen, multiple grills, and everything you need to cook for a large group. Large common area with plenty of seating. Plenty of space to sleep. Tons of yard activities and fireplace. Highly recommend.

Generations of ❤️

We spent a week with our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren here at Lynette’s Landing. It was glorious! We enjoyed all the amenities of the property, including the fire pit, basketball court, volleyball, bicycles toys, and the extremely large kitchen… able to feed our big family. We also enjoyed being able to go off adventures to the lake and in South Haven. It was a wonderful experience. Jim and Lynette were wonderful hosts. They responded quickly to any question or need we had. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness.

Great house, plenty of space and supplies/equipment. Drive to town and beaches easy. We had 13 people. Stormy during a few nights which may have impacted wi-fi and some electric outlets. Thank you Lynette!

Everything you would need

Things we liked. The house was really great for our group of 25. The outside space was really nice with a lot of play sets and a good fire pit. We weren’t too far from the beach, about a 10 minute drive at most. They provided a lot of coolers and ice packs. The kitchen is large and has just about everything you would need for cooking. Lots of space to store food with two fridges. They even had ziplock bags and storage containers for leftovers. Tons of towels and a washer/dryer is such a huge plus. super friendly and nice hosts The owners live close by and were able to help with any problems quickly. They also have a lot of things for baby care if needed like a highchair and a pack and play. We would stay here again. Things that weren’t ideal. Bathroom near the laundry room needs a lock installed. With kids it makes it too thrilling of an experience. Although it makes sense from a business standpoint, it would be nice to have a bit more freedom in dates you book for (as opposed to the whole week friday-friday for the mouths of June-August). They have a super nice pool table, but if it's damaged while you stay there it's $400 to repair it and having kids makes it nerve wracking, regardless of if you let them play on it. The owners did an unannounced yard project while we stayed there which was really loud (laying cable for an internet improvement). Again, overall it was really nice for our family.

Great stay in South Haven...not too far from the beach!

Our group had a great stay at Jim and Lynette's place in the woods. It is very close to the Kal Haven Trail, Sherman's ice cream, and Three Blondes Brewing...all of which we enjoyed several times during our stay. While the drive to the beach might be a bit longer by 2-3 minutes, the quiet, wooded house, packed with games, toys, and seating for plenty made it well worth it. Jim and Lynette are both attentive and kind hosts, responding quickly to questions about hot water and getting a replacement remote for the second TV. Our crew likes to cook and we could hardly miss with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of room to all work at the same time, and multiple grills! Thanks for a great stay! Looking forward to the next time!

Amazing house for a group

We had a great weekend celebrating a deployment homecoming and graduations! We had 16 people and the house had plenty of room for everyone to comfortably sleep and hang out. Jim and Lynette have stocked the house with everything you may need and have clearly labeled everything. They are also very communicative! The house is in a great location with activities for everyone within 10 miles. I highly recommend this property!

Celebrating Mom's birthday

This home was amazing! It was so well stocked with anything we could have needed and very clean. There was plenty of space for us all to sit together or to spread out. We loved sitting out by the fire, playing pool and air hockey, and visiting downtown South Haven. This home gave us a chance to get our whole family together to celebrate my MIL's 80th birthday! We were all so happy to find a home large enough for all of us! Thank you so much!

Amazing home for extended family vacation

This home was perfect for our extended family vacation. We had plenty of space for all 5 nuclear families (10 adults and 7 kids ranging from age 1-14) The older kids loved sleeping in the open basement area. The large kitchen was easy to navigate with all the drawers and cabinets labeled. We enjoyed the peaceful location, and the kids played a ton in the large yard and expansive driveway. If we ever get a large group together in South Haven again, this will be the house we book!

Amenities Galore

This property has just about every amenity required. The property is listed as sleeping 30 and the owners have made sure to provide enough of everything to accommodate 30. The property, and its location, is perfect to be close to vineyards, South Haven, and the highway but also private. The owner's communication was also excellent.

Family Oriented

This is a great place for a large group/family getaway. Our group was 15 including two infants. There was plenty of space and lots of extras included such as games, bikes, beach chairs and more. Communication with the owners was also great and they were very responsive to our requests.

Connections between generations

Lots of group activities both inside and outside. Weather was perfect. Loved the changes from the year before. Plenty of room for sleeping and activities. Plan to back next year. Loved the proximity to Aldis and Meijers for daily grocery trips. It was fantastic!!!

Absolutely wonderful

We loved our visit to Michigan. Our house was amazing. Lynette and Jim are the best. The house had absolutely everything. Lynette was available immediately every time we had a question. If we ever make it back to Michigan, we will definitely stay here again!

Memorial getaway 2023

As a first timer using Vrbo on a vacation plan, our experienced was excellent, very organized placed, very clean, anything you need was accesible although we brought with us all what we need. Excellent house with all required amenities

We a group of 5 family stayed and enjoyed our stay. Host was very friendly and was approachable as well . The house interiors were excellent and neat. Both elders and children enjoyed our stay. We had enough items to keep all of engaged in the home. And also the beach is near by and we spent an evening there . Rest of the time in the 3 days we spent our time in the house. I would definitely recommend this place for family reunion and get-together.

Lynette was born and raised in South Haven, graduated from LC Mohr High in 1974. I grew up on the property that our house is built on. My husband, Jim, is from Jackson, Michigan and in 1974 we were married and he joined me in South Haven and we raised our two children in South Haven on Center Street and just after our children graduated my husband built our retirement home, that is now a rental. We lived in the house for about three years and then a job opportunity took us about seven miles south of South Haven where we managed a beautiful gated community on Lake Michigan, called Palisades’s Park.
For the 14 years we were away from our house, it sat empty for a few years, our daughter and her husband stayed in it a couple years until they moved to California, my husband’s mother stayed a couple years until she needed more care, and then we decided rather than let it sit empty that we would rent it out during the summer season! We love sharing our beautiful little town!
Our home is just minutes from downtown South Haven and the beaches. This area has always been an ideal location, but when they brought city water and sewer our way, we jumped at the chance to build. My twin sister lives in the house she and I grew up in, which is right in front of our rental divided by a fence.
Our home gives you the best of both worlds in South Haven. You get to enjoy the beaches and all of the shopping you want and at the same time relax away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and enjoy the music of the birds in the morning and evening. Be quiet and you may see our families of deer or the families of wild turkeys. You can walk through the ravine now because Jim just cleared it so our guests can walk in it! Also a ten minute bike ride to the beautiful KalHaven bike trail. Bring bicycles if you can OR rent them in town!

Young children and adults have tons of things to do and we supply everything! Except food!
Come stay at our place and really RELAX! UNLESS you’re a partier and then you’ll want to stay closer to the beach, because our house is NOT a party house! It’s definitely a “family reunion” house! Because family is what it’s all about.
Our house is about 3-4 miles from the famous Gingerman Raceway and about 3/4 mile to the new banquet hall, Black River Barn. We’re also super close to the new family fun spot, Arvesta!

Nice playground for children. Volleyball court set up in yard. Fire pit, we supply the firewood!
So close to everything except the noise of traffic! It’s peaceful here. Very relaxing.
