Fantastic!

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was huge (2 living rooms), everything seemed pretty new, plenty of utensils/cookware/etc, large driveway that fit multiple cars, comfortable beds, overall fairly clean, and clear instructions. Bummed we couldn't use the deck because it was covered with snow. The hosts/owners were communicative. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Overall the stay was good and uneventful. My only negative was the listing of a hot tub, but after digging a bit it was at the community center and not on site. The listing should be more explicit with the hot tub location.

Wonderful weekend

My family and I loved staying at this cabin for a weekend in November. It was very comfortable for 5 adults and one young kid. It was well stocked and had a variety of items I wouldn't have expected (espresso machine, blender, high chair, toddler friendly plates and cups, etc). The downstairs entertainment room was a great addition for movie night, play zone for my daughter, game space, etc. We enjoyed cozying up next to the wood burning stove, cooking in the kitchen and using the BBQ, and family dinners around the large table. The cabin is in easy driving distance to so much! The grocery store is super close, fun little play structure at the rec center, Donner lake/summit, Lake Tahoe, and more! We would definitely recommend this cabin and would stay here again.

Perfect for Skiing with Family

This house has everything you could need and is stocked like a home that the owners actually use to entertain friends and family. The kitchen has everything you could need (pots, pans, quality knives, cookie sheets, utensils, leftovers containers) to cook meals after a long day at the slopes. There are plenty of sheets and towels. The washer and dryer was gigantic and made it easy to wash all of the ski layers. The furniture was comfortable and two of the bathrooms were recently remodeled. Everyone found this house to be a really comfortable place to spend time.

Another great time in Truckee

Family had another great relaxing trip. As the other reviewers say house is a little smaller then what you see from the pics, driveway is steep but really wasn’t bad we parked at the top. House was about 90% clean found a few missed candy rappers from the last group. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great house

Stayed here for the weekend of the 4th of July and had plenty of space for everyone. We were close by everything we needed and had family staying down the street.

Perfect for our two families

We were two families looking for a nice home to host our summer getaway to Tahoe. This house had everything we needed and a few nice extras. A big modern kitchen with a big nearby deck made family meals effortless. Three large bedrooms, nice linens and a bunk bed area gave us plenty of sleeping options. As a bonus the owners included a variety of rafts which we made good use of at Donner Lake and Truckee River. We found a few minor misses which the owners said would be addressed after our stay: no A/C (listing says it's included. We opened all windows at night and kept them closed during the day to keep cool) and missing blinds in master bedroom. Overall we loved our stay and would choose it again on our next trip to Truckee

Perfect Stay!

This house was exactly what we were looking for for our long weekend getaway. In very good condition, you can tell it is a loved family vacation home instead on a serial rental property. The kitchen actually is pretty well-stocked with cooking supplies, the mattresses were amazingly comfortable (memory foam), and the side deck was the perfect place to play games while relaxing in the sun! Highly recommend!

Nice Stay

We were happy with this place. It was not fantastic, but fine. The price was right, but you definitely get what you pay for. It was pretty clean, but not spotless. The kitchen is better stocked than many rentals we have been in. There was only one real kitchen towel in the whole place, so we had to use bath towels to dry dishes. It was wonderful to discover they have good quality coffee machines, including an espresso machine! We couldn’t figure out how to use the espresso one since it’s different than ours at home, but the Cuisinart coffee maker was nice. So many rentals just provide “Mr. Coffee” makers, so the Cuisinart one was appreciated! The master bed is not very comfortable, and the master bathroom is small. And get this... the mirror is for short people! My husband is 6’ and I am 5’10”, and we had to duck to look in the mirror. That was weird. Our four kids said the other beds were actually comfortable. I think they had better mattresses. Our kids enjoyed the Wii downstairs, and the house had plenty of room for the six of us. The driveway was VERY steep, and since it was covered with ice, it was slippery and dangerous. The location of this house is great. I enjoyed the use of the club lap pool three days in a row. That’s a big reason why we like to rent in Tahoe Donner— all the amenities, including the gym and pool! We wouldn’t be opposed to renting this place, again, but will probably look around for something a little nicer next year.

Awesome vacation

The house is very comfortable. Our family and kids enjoyed the room downstairs to play video games and watched TV. The bedroom was very spacious, I just wished they have dressers to put our clothes instead of suitcases on the ground. The kitchen was nice and updated. We were able to cooked our meals daily and lots of spaces both dining and kitchen area. There’s a lot of condiments for cooking too. The only thing that was Inconvenient was the refrigerator. It was too small and tight to put the meat, vegetables and drinks. We place all drinks in a cooler outside deck which is fine. The refrigerator bottom drawe was broken and couldn’t open it. I suggest to upgrade a bit on refrigerator as family of 10 bring all our food for a week stay. But overall we manage to accommodate everyone’s needs. One suggestion also is for the cleaning crew to vacuum the couches. We saw so much food crumbs. The place is awesome and great for a family stay. Everyone has their own bed and comfortable. We would recommend this place! Lots of space to spread! Thank you for letting us stay in your house.

Giggles Family summer 2019

Awesome cabin just need few updating

We stayed at this Co in for 7nights and we had a great time. We celebrated y sons bday with few friends and it fun. There was a lot of space for everyone (10guests) and we all have our own beds. Kids enjoyed the downstairs room playing video games and watching g movies. It’s nice to give them their own space and bathroom. The bedrooms are spacious and lots of closet space. But I wish they have dressers or small table to put our closet he’s for a week or suitcase instead of then floors. The master bedroom bath was nice remodeled showers. The 2nd bathroom upstairs is great but the shower draineage is not working properly. Every time someone showers, it took another 15 minutes to drain the water and having 4 people using it, it’s kinda lot of work, they need to clean the tub every useage. So we just decided not to use that shower and used the downstairs and master bath for showers. The kitchen was great, lots of space and lots of extra kitchen condiments for cooking. There was plenty of seasoning, olive oil, and some sauce for quick cooking. The kitchen is remodeled too. Ice gas stove and kitchen sink. The only problem is the refrigerator is too small for having 10 people. We brought lots of food for making dinners and drinks from Costco. We had to use our cooler outside to put all drinks. But that’s not too bad since mostly kids drinks juice and milk and few soda. The freezer does not closed tight, so when opening we had to push is to make sure it’s closed properly or all food defrost and ice tray will not make it for the evening. The bottom drawers also was hard to open or closed, we had to wiggle or lift the tray to open and that was not fun. I suggest to upgrade the refrigerator since everything else was updated. One last, I agree to one reviews, the cleaning people need to vacuum better and vacuum the couches Downstairs and upstairs. We found a lot of food crumbs. Overall the place is fantastic. We had access to garage but didn’t have to use it as it’s better to park uphill. We would recommend this place for big families. It was worth the price and everyone had a great time, very closed to everything. (Grocery, gas, beach and trails for running’s and bikes. Thank you for letting us stay. It was an awesome trip,

A few hiccups ....

The home was smaller than the photos eluded to, but we enjoyed our time together. The STEEP driveway was a challenge. The three bathrooms were nicely updated and beds were clean and comfortable. With that being said the home is in need of some detailed cleaning and organizing. The cleaning staff needs to kick it up a notch and pay attention to some obvious things!!!! The owners can’t be held responsible for things the cleaning staff should be checking for! We enjoyed the deck for coffee and stargazing but only two chairs and all outdoor lights didn’t work, bbq a mess! Bedrooms need a dresser or someplace to put your clothes away so you don’t have to live out of your suitcases. The location was wonderful, close to town and Donner Lake where fishing was fantastic! The weather was perfect and all in all we were sad to leave. If you stay in Truckee...check out Ace Hardware...they have everything you could imagine!!!

Great Vacation Rental

Really enjoyed bringing my family here to enjoy some time in the snow! The house was clean and we all enjoyed sitting by the fire and relaxing after skiing and playing in the snow. Will definitely be coming back up and renting the house again when available.

SUPER COMFY HOUSE WITH MANY AMENITIES

This house was perfect for our Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing elaborate meals, the large dining table has seating for 8, and the house is very comfortably furnished with a good layout. Our group of 7 adults and 2 dogs had plenty of room to spread out. The large downstairs entertainment room has bunk beds and can serve as a 4th bedroom. The close location to downtown Truckee is also very convenient. Highly recommended.
