Comfortable First Floor Apartment

Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.


The apartment is continually being updated. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV, and PS3

The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash basin. The kitchen has ample workspace and includes oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, washer and dishwasher. The large lounge /dining room was recently redecorated and is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. There is a TV with Freeview, Netflix and DVD player There is a selection of dvds, books and games. The apartment has free wifi access. This room has a bay window allowing spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.

The house is set in a quiet location but only a short walk to the heart of Bowness

There is ample parking for the apartment.

Very comfortable 2 bedroomed property with great elevated views of the lake and fells. A short walk downhill into town but also a few steps away from the Dales Way and other good trails in the hillside behind. Parking for two cars which was great for two couples. Christine our host was very helpful and provided all the info we needed for an easy check in.

Perfect view of Lake Windermere, close to all the action and restaurants in Bowness, but surprisingly quiet and peaceful up on the hill. The apartment felt like home, and was obviously cared for by the owner. Clean, convenient, and comfortable. Would love to stay here again and would happily recommend it to others. We’ve had superior accommodation in the past for this kind of money, we paid approximately 160/night including service charge. Quiet apartment, situated on top of the steep hill. Great views. Fairly well equipped kitchen but the cooker took too long to heat up, no recycling available. We enjoyed our time at the Lakes, so much to explore and do.The host asked us when we check out to strip the beds down, take the rubbish out and few other things.
