About Dan Ferebee
I purchased Mostly Hall in 2010. She has been restored retaining many of the original historical details while being outfitted with state of the art systems so that she will thrive for many years to come. My educational and business experience in Design have been instrumental in this restoration process. I have a private entrance at the back of Mostly Hall to my apartment on the third floor and a private separate driveway.

Why Dan Ferebee chose Tryon
Mostly Hall was in need of restoration and I became interested in telling her story and preserving a pivotal property in the Town of Tryon, NC which has quite a history in itself.
What makes this House unique
You will find that Mostly Hall is sunlit in shadows through the trees that have long graced this property. You will see the presence of Mostly Hall on this hill and enjoy the Mountain Views and sounds of nature on the porch. You can only imagine the sounds and sights of the past in this truly wonderful home.

This home is a dream!
"Mostly Hall" exceeded our expectations!
We were visiting Tryon for a horse show at F.E.N.C.E. which was a short drive from "Mostly Hall". The owners, Dan and Anjie were excellent communicators and provided us everything we needed to know well in advance of our trip and throughout our stay. We were greeted with a fresh loaf of bread, coffee, and other provisions to meet our immediate needs upon arrival.
The interior decor of the home is absolutely fabulous with a perfect mix of antiques and fresh pops of modern color. We intended to eat dinner out every night however the gourmet kitchen was just too inviting to pass up so we decided to cook one evening and had everything we needed to prepare a perfect meal. The linens in the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, crisp and luxurious and the space of each room is gracious. The outside grounds were perfectly manicured and there was plenty of outdoor space/seating to relax and enjoy the evening air.
It is obvious that Dan and Anjie put their hearts into this property, as they were above and beyond thoughtful with every little detail in order to ensure their home felt like our home. Their careful consideration and anticipation of our needs allowed us to focus on supporting our children during their equestrian competition rather than worrying about the adequacy of our accommodations. My only complaint is that we were at F.E.N.C.E. from sun up to sun down each day and wish we would have had more time to enjoy this beautiful home.
We will be back and I have already shared the rental link with friends and family whom I know would love to visit Tryon in the future. This is by far the best rental property I have experienced via VRBO. Thank you Dan and Anjie for sharing "Mostly Hall" with us!
Thanks Holly. The lights will always be on. See you again soon. Dan&Anjie
Mostly Hall is perfect! The home is spacious, cozy and so inviting. We spent Christmas here with my parents and it felt like home. Dan is so gracious and kind. His attention to detail is amazing! Highly recommend!
The lights will always be on......Thank you for being the perfect guest. Hope to see you again soon....Dan & Anjie
Lovely property - very comfortable and elegant at the same time
We have already booked our return!
Look forward to your return...Best, Dan&Anjie
Mostly Hall is a very special getaway spot for any occasion! Highly recommend it!!!
Our weekend was greatly enhanced with our stay at Mostly Hall. Close enough to all the action of Tryon but away from it all at the same time! Clean and spotless, well decorated, nice welcoming touches that are not everywhere. Our family enjoyed being all together for this adventure in the mountains. The color of the leaves changed a bit more each day!! Pretty sweet!!!
Mostly Hall review - Tryon, NC
Mostly Hall is this beautiful, a bit quirky in a good way, house in a very convenient location in Tryon, NC. Firstly, Tryon is a beautiful mountain town with some nice shops and restaurants downtown which is less than 1 mile from the house. This is a big old house that has been beautifully restored and is very well equipped. Big open dining/living area with connection to kitchen which has everything you could need including 6 burner gas range. The owner, Dan, had all kinds of breakfast supplies waiting for us from eggs to jam to coffee. The bedrooms are nice with the master being pretty large. Bathrooms are quite comfortable. Front porch on the house was a relaxing place to sit. We were there with another couple, all from Charleston, and we can be pretty fussy. We were all really happy with the house. Has that old-timey feel while still being modern. Eclectic decorating style makes it fun and interesting. Only issue was many of the windows didn't open, though some did. I expect this was a compromise renovating an old house. Not a big deal. House is also very convenient to hiking, waterfalls, kayaking and some good biking. We will be back!
Thanks, Well back in 1910 there was no a/c. The windows are casement windows which open out and the screens were on the inside and opened like a screen door to open the windows. Yes a hard decision in renovating to make it work for living today....So new state of art heat&air. and all windows sealed except for the kitchen and bathrooms. Thanks for being such great guest...the lights will always be on & You will be able to see Football at its best. LOL
Perfect for a relaxing getaway
My family stayed in this house for a week long horse show at Tryon. It was so nice and relaxing. Dan was the most gracious host we have encountered in all of our VRBO/rental travels. He provided everything we needed and more. The history of the house and many little details were a big plus. It felt like home, not like a rental with renter's furnishings.
Thank YOu, Dan
Outstanding....The lights will always be on. Hope to see you again soon. Dan&Anjie
