About Darla Koop
My husband, Peter, and I enjoy renovating houses, finding the hidden potential in them. We love living in the beautiful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake and spending evenings walking past the lovely homes in town. ~A tribute to Darla~ It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful wife & soul-mate, and loving mother to our four children, Darla. Her talent & passion for decorating, and her desire to please our guests with her gracious hospitality has elevated our business to the high standards that it holds today. It is our intention to carry on her labour of love, upholding these high standards & warm hospitality…..the way Darla would have wanted us to. We look forward to meeting you at the cottage, Peter & the kids Sam, Cassie, Emily & Josh
Darla Koop purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Darla Koop chose Historic Old Town
Our house is in the country so we have traditionally taken our children trick-or-treating in this quaint neighborhood. It has a wonderful, neighborly, small town feel.
What makes this Cottage unique
The beautiful stone fireplace is the centrepiece of this house and why we purchased it despite the odd floor plan (which we have since corrected).
What a charming cottage! Quaint, clean and comfortable. Steps from the lake and a lovely public park. Our family enjoyed the spectacular sunsets over the lake each evening. Quiet neighborhood. Close to everything! Peter was such a pleasant host. He met us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely hope to return. Niagara-on-the-Lake truly does live up to its billing as, "The Loveliest Town in Canada!"
This is a charming and comfortable cottage just off the lake. We watched spectacular sunset in the park at the end of the block. Nice yard with pergola and BBQ. Perfect for two couples as it has 2 br and 2 full baths. As cute as the pictures. Lovely neighborhood. Would stay again.
Charming, clean, convenient
We loved this cottage and would come back anytime!
Convenient and comfortable Cottage ambience perfect for our NOTL family reunion.
Kitchen was well stocked with condiments; being able to prepare a few meals was a great break from restaurants though there are numerous excellent choices within walking.
perfect setting in NOTL
Quaint cottage. Had everything two couples needed to enjoy a two night stay in NOTL.
Walkable distance to Historic main street. Loved that it was pet friendly. Peter met us and was there first thing the morning after a snowfall to clear the driveway. Beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. No need to choose a hotel when a property like this is available. Would definitely stay again.
