It’s all in a name…”The Hideaway”

Absolute beauty surrounds this peaceful “hideaway” nestled right on the Missouri River! It doesn’t get much better than this and the owners are fabulous. We were welcomed with blue skies and winning 360-degree views of Montana’s vast elevation of mountains!! The guest house has all the elements of a home away from home. We highly recommend!

There is so many great things to say about The Hideaway. Prior to our stay Bill and Ellie were so helpful and accommodations. We flew into Kalispell and traveled down to Toston in the midst of a snowstorm coming and Bill called to make sure we were ok when it had already gotten dark, I thought that was so nice. The home is not only just as seen in photos but the small details in the home and hospitality from Ellie and Bill are outstanding and was no welcoming when we walked in. We were like kids hunting for clues from details of kitchen knobs to the treats left for us to enjoy. Much time and effort are put in to making sure your time there is enjoyable and to where you don't want to leave. The bed was so comfortable we found it hard to get out of it daily. The tub was also enjoyed after a very cold day on the water fishing. We already said we would stay there again next time we travel to Montana. I cannot recommend this home, Bill and Ellie as hosts, and the views enough. If you want a quiet and relaxing stay out of the city, this is it.

Perfect place for a peaceful retreat

I was really indeed of a solo vacation to unwind and recharge my batteries and I had an absolutely amazing retreat at "the Hideaway." I really lucked out to find this "allergen free" vacation rental, because I have severe environmental intolerances (I react horribly to fragrance, chemicals and mold/mildew) and finding a rental is usually near impossible. When I reached out to Ellie before booking for more info about cleaning products used, she thoughtfully answered all my questions and even went above and beyond to ask for cleaning product recommendations and use only fragrance-free cleaning products before I arrived! She also provided fragrance free dish and hand soaps for my use. The space was spotlessly clean, totally quiet and I had absolutely everything I needed to prepare my own meals in the kitchen. Having a private deck overlooking the river made the stay all the more peaceful and serene. I would definitely book here again in the future. The amazing hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel valued, welcomed and cared for.
