"The Garden Retreat" A piece of Paradise is located in Old Ocean Springs on a quite cul-de-sac street. It has mature trees & gardens in the front & backyard. An all weather back porch for relaxing over looking the serene scenery. The Back Yard is Privacy Fence which is great for children & your privacy. There is parking for 4 vehicles in front. A boat or car can be parked behind the privacy gate. The Master Bedroom Suite has a Queen Size bed; the Middle Bedroom has a Queen Bed & the third bedroom has a Queen Bed. It sleep 6 people in 3 bedrooms. A full laundry room. All the furniture & Mattresses are new along with the TV & décor. Cable & Hi Speed Wi-Fi are provided. The Kitchen is fully equipped with complimentary coffee & tea. A Stainless Steel Grill is just outside under a Pergola. There is an outdoor patio with table & chairs for outdoor enjoyment.
You can walk down Government Street which has many small restaurants & shops. Nearby Washington Ave., downtown in Ocean Springs, is tree lined with old oak trees, shops, restaurants & the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. The house is approximately 1.5 miles from Front & East Beach in Ocean Springs. It's just a short drive across the Biloxi/Ocean Springs Bridge to Biloxi which has 6 Casinos & a 26 mile beach for fun & activities. Place is dated and home needs a good deep cleaning. Furnace had a funky smell when we arrived, that should be addressed.

Hi Gregory, I appreciate your honest feeling & review of my home. The majority of VRBO's & Airbnb's are vintage homes in OS. Yes, my home is a 1950 vintage home. I have added many upgrades that are useful & desired by my guests. I want to keep my home authentic with repairs & upgrades as needed. I upgrading the fence as we speak. My rental charges are low to help my guest afford renting a home. If you look at all the listing in OS you will see I'm on the low side for rent. VRBO is the most expensive service to use. Airbnb is much more cheaper for their fees. If you want a more modern home next time, look at the prices. You can rent a higher priced home to get what you like. I've been in business for 8 years. I get many repeat guests. They like my authentic home & the rental price. Again, I appreciate your review. I've never received one like that. I'm a 5star preferred hostess. My photos show the inside of my home. It is not luxurious & I'm so sorry you were disappointed!! I am downtown which is very desirable & very expensive in other more modern homes! Home away from home

You can walk downtown and earn your TatoNut. There are beach supplies which was nice to have as well. Very quiet street and very convenient. Definitely a great place to stay with your family.

Good location

Great location for visiting the area. Close to downtown Ocean Springs for shopping and restaurants. A short drive to Biloxi. Love the all season room. We'll stay again when we visit.

We chose this property for the location in old Ocean Springs which is in walking distance to restaurants, shopping, & museums downtown. Also, the outside serene beauty of the privacy backyard was a high point of why we liked this home for guests to visit. The backyard has gardens & mature trees indiginous to this area which adds a nice interest to your stay. There is an arbor attached to the house for outdoor cooking on a Gas BBQue with A Stove Plate Burner for frying or, boiling seafood. Also there is a place to clean fish in the backyard.
