About Carlton Harris

I was born in Dallas, but grew up in El Paso, Texas, about as far from tall trees, clean lakes and flowing rivers as one can get. I now live on a working ranch in Celina, Texas

Carlton Harris purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Carlton Harris chose Oklahoma

I fell in love with the Beavers Bend/ Broken Bow area long ago. I looked long and hard to find a cabin on some acreage so that if I wanted to retire there I could relax and enjoy some peace and tranquility. The minute I drove down the tree canopied drive, across the creek and saw these cabins, a knew I had to have them. I welcome you, and hope you find the same at my beautiful cabins on the hill, Holly Hill and Wildwood. There is an array of fine Dinning and Entertainment including The Moon Tower owned by the Infamous CHOPPED Champion Tabb Singleton. Hochatown Whiskey Distillery, Mountain Fork Brewery and Wine tours!

Great girls trip

  • 5 of 5

We made a spontaneous decision to take a last minute girls trip and what a treat it was! We had the best time!!! We really enjoyed the cabin! It was peaceful, relaxing, well equipped and communication with the owner was punctual. It was remote yet not too far from stores, shops, etc. Highly Recommend this to anyone.

Nice site..... some issues though

  • 3 of 5

It was enjoyable stay and pretty place. Second bedroom linens appeared not freshly changed for our visit. We had to wash the sheet. That adjoining bath was clean on the face but there was a smashed roach on the side of the tub hidden at first by the shower curtain. The master bedroom bath commode did not run smoothly and overflowed at one time. We did not find the air mattress in the master closet so spent all three nights trying to sleep on the couch. I am 74 and slept on the longer couch and my 16 year old granddaughter slept on the two seat couch. She was pretty uncomfortable. We had planned to use the air bed. This is a nice cabin and perhaps it would be helpful to future visitors for it to be more clear where the air bed is stored. Thanks for the use of the cabin and just wanted you to know that your clean up crew could use a little pep talk. Take care.

Owner's Response: Hello Paula, We keep the queen size air bed in the 2nd bedroom closet, in the original box that it came in. Neither toilet in the cabin have been a problem or overflowed in the past, unless someone tried to flush to much toilet paper. We keep a plunger handy just in case. The sheets and bedding are washed after every guest leaves. I stay at both cabins and have not seen a roach anywhere. We have a pest control service visit regularly, but I will ask them to follow up to make sure we are bug free. Glad you enjoyed your vacation with use. Thank you, Carlton
