Stable Cottage, un jardin, un étang - réveillez-vous au son des rapides.

Le logement Stable Cottage est rustique, chaleureux et confortable avec une vue magnifique sur la campagne, situé dans un hectare de jardins établis paisibles.
Ce charmant cottage offre deux chambres à coucher avec draps et serviettes, une salle de bain, 2 toilettes, une cuisine moderne. buanderie, avec des vérandas donnant sur le jardin et la pelouse de la riviÚre Waiau et la vallée ci-dessous. Barbecue Weber et repas en plein air pour 8 personnes.
Wifi et Smart TV avec Netflix. Haut-parleur Wifi. PoĂȘle Ă  bois pour le chauffage avec beaucoup de bois.

Un étang de baignade naturel écologique et filtré avec jetées.
Au-dessous du chalet, la riviĂšre Waiau est garnie de truites arc-en-ciel et de truite brune.

A really lovely stay

We were using it as a base to attend a course nearby, so didn't get to enjoy it as much during the day as it deserves.It is a beautiful restful spot and great accommodation.

Beautiful farmstay

My partner, sister and myself had an amazingly relaxing stay at the cottage. Our favourite spot was the back deck. There is beautiful view across the river to paddocks with cows grazing, and the sound of the river running below. Our thanks to John for a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay here, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated in lovely furnishings and rustic charm. River put the back and view fabulous and private lawn and trees and flowers in front very beautiful.

Idyllic spot

John was a wonderful host - communicative and generous. The location - above a river, overlooking a valley - was wonderful. The only thing wrong with it is how far it is from our home in London - which means we won't be back as soon as we'd like to be.

Great stay in Stable Cottage

Perfectly snug, warm cottage with great facilities. We loved our stay and will be back to take John up on his offer of a walk around the farm. Awesome river views and farmland all around. Peaceful. Everything we needed was on hand.

Idyllic retreat in the country

Beautiful beyond description

We feel like we went back in time, to somewhere in the 1931, the atmosphere of the place tells so much History, and we feel like we were part of that history. My little family traveled a lot, but this one will be unforgettable for a very long time! We can never had enough of waking up to that mountain view. So beautiful! 💯%❀ from the little đŸ‡č🇮family.

The cottage is in a beautiful rural location in the Hawke's Bay region. It's secluded, secure and very comfortable. The manager and owner, John, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful with tips about where to go and what to do. The surrounding area has stunning forests, lakes, beaches and walks of all levels of difficulty. Groceries and other supplies can be bought in the nearest town, Wairoa - about 15 km away. Appliances all worked well and there was plenty of hot water. A car is essential to explore the region. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay in the New Zealand countryside that was relaxing and comfortable in a beautiful area with many great options for outdoor activities.

Beautiful cottage, stunning surrounds!

The Stable Cottage is full of the history of yester-year! Inside is warm and cozy with everything you need to relax and recharge and all the amenities such as air conditioning, BBQ, equipped kitchen and full bathroom. The best part for us were the amazing views across the river, the beautiful sound of the river below and lots of space to walk around and enjoy the property. John is a superb host – warmly greeted us upon arrival and made us feel at home. He gave us some great suggestions to explore the area i.e. different walks / tramps nearby, how to get to Lake Waikaremoana or Mahia Beach. His knowledge of the area and the history of the land was very interesting. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back for longer next time! It was so good for the soul and special family time to enjoy and reconnect.

Rustic chic with a stunning view

We loved spending five nights at the cottage with our toddler, relaxing on the deck with its stunning view across the river to hills, and enjoying the modernised interior that retains historic artefacts and features. John was a great host, and a fount of local historical knowledge. The surrounding area has lots to offer, from walks at Lake Waikaremoana to beaches at Mahia. So peaceful and relaxing - definitely recommend!

Father was born here; I grew up on the neighbouring farm. I took over managing the farm in 1969 before selling in 1983. My wife Sarah & I bought the property back in 2005.

I wanted to return to the river, the trees and the house that I built in 1976.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

My brothers, sisters & I grew up in these hills, building huts, making dams in the creeks and cutting tracks along the banks. We loved the river and the trees.

Wife Sarah and I enjoy the garden, watching the trees change, and the birds that make their home here.
