House with stunning views - perfect for relaxation

We had a great time in this perfectly located house. Everything you need for a relaxed stay. And waking up with seaview - just wonderful. Besides this the house is well equipped and has plenty of garden / terraces around to chill. And Luciana was the perfect host! We would definitely select this lovely spot again!

Beautiful Home

Beautiful home, great hosts, and a great location on the Camino. The house is large and beautifully decorated. It has good Internet and modern appliances. When you enter the driveway there is a motorized gate and Parking right in front of the house. Everything is very convenient and there are great views from the porches and balconies upstairs. There is a large yard with beautiful landscaping where you can enjoy nature. There are large bedrooms with comfortable beds and three bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Calme et quiétude

Pour qui recherche le calme et le confort moderne, le lieu et le logement correspondent parfaitement à ces critères. La région propose des activités loin de la forte affluence touristique. Castelo Do Neiva ne manque pas de bons restaurants. Bref, notre séjour fut des plus reposants.

Perfekt gelegen für Nord-Portugal

Das Haus ist räumig, mit Geschmack und praktisch eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist vollständig, es fehlt an nichts und alles ist sauber und gut unterhalten. Die von der Besitzerin vorbereiteten Informationen sind sehr hilfreich, insbesondere die Empfehlungen für Restaurants, wovon das "segredo do mar" sich kulinarisch als absolut Spitze erwiesen hat. Der Empfang durch Zelia war herzlich und, obwohl wir kein Portugisisch sprechen, konnten wir uns gut verständigen. Als wir Probleme mit der Öffnung des Zugangstors hatten, war Zelia in 2 Minuten da und half uns aus der Patche. Als Fahrer eines Elektroautos hatten wir anfänglich Schwierigkeit, funktionierende Ladestationen zu finden. Luciana, die Hausbesitzerin, war diesbezüglich sehr hilfreich. Nochmals herzlichen Dank, es hat uns sehr gefallen und wir können diese Adresse nur empfehlen.

Très bon séjour, mais...

Très bon séjour dans une maison confortable, très propre et très bien équipée pour ce qui est de la cuisine, couverts, plats, casseroles, faitouts, rien ne manque mais toutefois je déplore, pour une telle location, l'absence d'une machine à laver. Et aussi, un détail peut-être, mais pas de lampe de chevet, dans aucune chambre ou de source de lumière permettant de lire dans le lit. Nous avons en revanche apprècié la disponibilité de Zélia et le cadeau de bienvenue très généreux pour notre court séjour (4 nuitées).

Beautiful house ! Highly recommend!

The house was very clean and very comfortable. She had little extra in every room of the house. The kitchen was well equipped and had great appliances even though we didn’t use much. Great ocean view from every room! The owner always replied when contacted. We stayed in Portugal for 2 weeks and stayed here only for 4 nights. We wished we had stayed here the whole time. We will definitely contact her again when we come back to Portugal. Thanks for a wonderful time!

A great Summer in Castelo do Neiva

Casa de Santiago was the perfect house to spend our holiday this year. The service was 5*. Luciana, the owner, although abroad was always on the other side of an email or text message and resolving any matters promptly and very efficiently. Amazing! Thank you very much! Bruno and Zélia, who look after the house, were equally excellent. Very friendly and helpful at all times. Thank you very much! I am actually originally from Viana, now living in England, and every year I take my husband and two boys to visit my home town and Portuguese family. We have stayed in many different places in the past 15 years, and without a doubt this was our most enjoyable vacation. The house is so beautiful and modern, with high quality finishes and appliances. It has a beautiful and very big garden. From our bedrooms we can open the blind in the morning and just start the day relaxing for a few minutes looking at the sea. Not to mention the beautiful sunset in the evening. It is also in a very calm and quiet place with easy access to everything. The walks around Castelo do Neiva village are great, and at the top of another hill there is a beautiful church with, again, breath-taking scenery to look at. Overall, the village itself is so well kept. It was so refreshing to see how everyone keeps their house nicely presented, which projects such a good and welcoming feeling to visitors. In terms of restaurants, there are several to choose from. But, just down the road you have ‘Churrascaria Encosta do Monte’. The food is excellent and typical Portuguese northern dishes that my husband and boys love (churrasco, rojões, lombinhos, etc.). A good quality restaurant - all cooked from fresh every day and organically grown vegetables by the owners. The supermarket (5 minutes walk up the road) also has an excellent range of products. You also have one of the best bakeries in the district of Viana do Castelo: Pastelarias Castelo (another 5 minutes walk down the road from the supermarket). The bread and cakes are to die for! The beach is also very nice and less crowded than Cabedelo beach in Viana do Castelo (where we stayed a few times), definitely less windy, and with excellent seafood restaurants. It also has a long pathway along the beach for nice walks in the morning or late in the day. Anyway, there is so much more I could say about such a wonderful holiday and house. We loved it! So much so that we already booked for next year.

Zwei sehr schöne, ruhige und erholsame Wochen im Juli

Wir haben im "Santiago's House" zu zweit im Juli zwei Wochen verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig, hochwertig gebaut und vollständig ausgestattet. Es bietet auf jeden Fall auch für vier Personen genügend Platz. Die Betten sind sehr gut, die Schlafzimmer lassen sich komplett verdunkeln und es handelt sich um eine ruhige Lage. Die Küche ist vollständig ausgestattet, auch mit Spülmaschine, Herd, Dampfgarer und einem großen amerikanischen Kühlschrank incl. Ice Crusher. Auf den drei Terrassen und dem großzügigen Balkon findet sich zu jeder Tageszeit ein schönes Plätzchen um abzuschalten oder ein Buch zu lesen. Die Umgebung ist grün und dörflich, den naturbelassenen "Hausstrand" erreicht man in 45 min zu Fuß, oder in 10 min mit dem Auto. In der Nähe des Hauses verläuft eine Nebenstrecke des portugisischen Pilgerweges. Ein Mietwagen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Luciana ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und per Inernet oder Telefon sehr schnell zu erreichen. Kleine technische Probleme werden von dem Hausservice vor Ort schnell und zuverlässig gelöst. Für uns also insgesamt ein sehr gelungener und erholsamer Aufenthalt.

Modernes, bestens ausgestattetes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist sehr großzügig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen angenehmen Urlaub braucht. Betten sind komfortabel, in der Küche lässt es sich prima kochen und bei schönem Wetter kann man die großen Terrassen und Balkone genießen. Einziger Nachteil sind ein paar feuchte Stellen an Wand und Decke in der Küche, die behoben werden sollten.

Furchtbar - nicht buchen

Dieses Haus ist nicht vermietbar. Wir haben für Februar gebucht und die Heizung, die man auf allen Fotos sieht, ist - wie wir dann erfahren haben - seit irgendwann 2018 defekt und funktioniert GAR nicht. Das Haus war vollkommen ausgekühlt - 13 Grad Celsius. Und die Vermieterin hat uns allen Ernstes erklärt, es solle mit dem Kamin im Wohnzimmer geheizt werden. Ein zweistöckiges Haus. Mit einem einfachen Kamin - kein Ofen! Und natürlich gab es auch kein Kaminbesteck. Ist klar. Nach zwei Std war die Temp immer noch unter 15Grad. Überall ist es feucht und schimmelig. Kein Wunder. Andere Heizmittel wurden nicht angeboten. Und dann hat die Dame auch noch die Auffassung vertreten, es sei unsere Schuld, wenn wir nicht verstanden hätten, dass es keine Heizung gibt. Sie hätte es ja bei Ausstattung nicht angegeben. Elektrizität hat sie auch nicht angegeben. Die hatte das Haus aber immerhin. Dass fast alle Fotos Heizkörper zeigen, fand sie irrelevant. Unfassbar. Unbewohnbar. Wir sind nach vier Std wieder abgereist. Und durften dann unsere kostbare Zeit für die Suche nach einer Unterkunft aufwenden. Von dem Geld hat sie fast 50% einbehalten. Wirklich und ehrlich unglaublich. Den einen Stern habe ich gegeben, weil man etwas geben muss.

Samantha, I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The heating feature was never advertised for my property. As you know, prior to making a reservation you read the features along with the reviews and I was available for any questions you might have had. It was very unfortunate for you that your rental car broke down and you had to return to Porto to replace it.
