Stylish and scenic! This lakefront home has a private boat dock and calm swimming area with 2 natural sandy beaches. The house is situated at the entrance of a calm cove and overlooks the main channel. There is an 1100 square foot wood deck that wraps around the house providing fantastic views of the lake from every angle. There is also an additional covered patio on the lower level of the home. 3 of the 4 bedrooms have sliding glass doors that open directly onto the deck overlooking the water. Relax in the dynamic open living room complete with its own Martini Bar and big screen TV. With 4 bedrooms, this house sleeps 8 guests very comfortably. It is possible to bring an air mattress or futon and sleep 2 more downstairs.
Robyn's Nest is literally 1 minute from Queens Landing in Mooresville, where you can rent boats, jet skis, ride the bumper boats, play miniature golf, dine, or take a river boat dinner cruise on the Catawba Queen. Dock your boat at the popular outdoor bar, which is a great place to watch live music in the summer and mingle with the locals.
Big Views and Great Location!!!
No smoking inside. Smoking is only allowed outdoors!!!
We spent a terrific long weekend at Robyn's Nest, enjoying the property's many amenities and, of course, Lake Norman. The house is roomy and comfortable and decorated in a nautical theme. Every part of it seems to have a wonderful view of the lake. And the upstairs wrap-around porch was ideal for keeping track of our 1-year-old daughter while enjoying the views. We fished off the dock, grilled out and had a blast!
We booked last minute and Adam was very responsive and accommodating. He made sure the house was ready and everything looked great when we arrived. Many reviews stress the nice set up in this vacation rental - all true. Upstairs bedrooms and downstairs living is great for families with different times for going to bed and getting up. Our kids are older but I can imagine the ease of putting little ones down for a quiet afternoon nap. The cove is nice with good swimming off the dock or beach. Kayaks are provided, along with life jackets, various floats and an assortment of beach/sand toys for kids. We loved the fire pit. We've rented several different houses on Lake Norman over the years and this is an excellent one in terms of value; it is a great price for the location and accommodations. If you're reading this as you surf the various vacation rental sites, look no further. Many can be rather run down or on a sliver of creek with virtually no lake frontage, but Robyn's nest has been remodeled and taken care of. I'm surprised it doesn't fill up months in advance but maybe we just got lucky considering it was a holiday weekend.
Our family had a wonderful week relaxing and playing at Robyn's Nest. The layout was unique in that all 4 bedrooms were upstairs and three lead to a wonderfully shaded rocking chair porch. Naps were uninterrupted as the main living area is downstairs! We rented paddle boards and the swim beach offered the perfect place to launch our adventure! We docked our ski boat under the covered dock and the location is right near the places we love to visit by water. We enjoyed our time together here and the owner, Adam, was kind and responsive whenever we had any questions. We are all looking forward to going back very soon!!
Robyn's Nest is in a great location...a tranquil bay on Lake Norman! The neighbourhood is peaceful (great for walking). We were a family of 8 with two girls 3 and 11 months and organized our holiday around the NASCAR race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Memorial Day. The weather was perfect for swimming off the dock, playing in the sand on the little beach, renting jet skis and a pontoon boat, visiting local attractions (highly recommend Lazy5 Ranch). The cottage was cozy and just as advertised (what you see is what you get). Lots of room inside (we never felt cramped), full kitchen, dining area, very comfortable beds, and air conditioning kept it comfortable at night. And lots of room outside (upper deck, lower patio with table and a BBQ grill...BBQs, watching the sun go down, and campfires were an almost daily occurrence. The owner is very accommodating and responded quickly and patiently to my many queries. Perfect place for a family getaway and making lots of lasting memories!
We stumbled upon this place during a google search. We read the reviews and we were intrigued. This was our first official family vacation with our 3 children (ages 6, 5 and 12 months). We cannot express how accommodating the house and amenities were. Our youngest still naps, so we brought our baby monitor and we were able to put her down for her naps and still walk down to the beach and play with our older kids. All of us, kids included, enjoyed watching the sunset over beautiful Lake Norman from the porch swing. The house was super clean and as many Moms know the availability of a washer/dryer here at the house was fantastic! Adam was very accommodating and informative about places to eat, boat rentals etc. Our kids enjoyed fishing off the dock, building sandcastles on the beach and campfires at night. Every morning we took a walk down Paradise Peninsula Rd. It was so peaceful and quiet! This was our first, and definitely not our last, trip to NC and Lake Norman. What a great first trip it was! We cannot thank Adam and mother nature (for providing the amazing weather) enough. Robyn's Nest created some pretty great family memories, that we will talk about for years to come. We thank you, and we hope to make Robyn's Nest a once a year stop for us!!
The Robyn's Nest house was great with the porches, lake views and good location. It is just around the corner from Queens Landing and we took the Lake cruise that was very enjoyable. The kitchen was large enough and had everything we needed. We used both the inside fireplace and the outdoor fire pit. This is our second trip to Lake Norman where we meet family from Massachusetts. Great location for NASCAR fans with Race car shops all around, NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, Memory Lane museum and all the other attractions.
We all enjoyed our time at Robyn's Nest.
