You can watch the weather crash into the mountain or relax to birdsong on our front deck. You’ll love being close to all the action Hood River has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.
ZipHaus has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with the master suite on the main floor. The master has incredible views of the valley and Mt. Hood, a king bed, walk-in closet and a private full bath. The upstairs has two bedrooms (one king, one queen), two twin beds tucked into the wall of the TV room (with a 55" flat screen), and another full bath. There's a half bath downstairs off the laundry room. There's also a Pak N' Play and a booster style high chair for littler guests.
Inside, you’ll find all new appliances and furnishings. The kitchen is roomy and open to the dining room and living room, has plenty of storage and a large island with seating for four. The dining room seats six with room to spare and has fantastic views of Mt. Hood and the Valley. The living room features a gas fireplace and a 55" flat screen television, and double glass doors to the front deck. There's wi-fi throughout the house. A gas grill on the back patio is available for your use, and the front deck is a relaxing place to enjoy the views with a cup of coffee or a glass of local beer or wine.

About Diane Zipper
We spend as much time as we can in Hood River!
Diane Zipper purchased this House in 2015
Why Diane Zipper chose Hood River County
We bought this property in 2008. We'd looked up and down the Hood River Valley for over a year for a property that spoke to us, and fell in love with the view from Old Dalles Drive immediately. We were finally able to build in 2015 and absolutely love ZipHaus! It's amazing to sit on the front deck and just...be. You can see the planes landing at the airport on the west side of the valley, watch all kinds of birds winging by (including a flock of wild turkeys, though they mostly trot around the orchards), and watch Mt. Hood as the sun crosses overhead and eventually sets behind the hills of the Cascades. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Great home - beautiful mountain views
We had a great time here. It's quiet, pretty quick drive into town and has great views of Mt. Hood when the clouds are behaving. Everything seemed clean and well cared for - great communication from the owner.
Everything was perfect. There was plenty of room for the group in a great location, in a beautiful house. Really couldn’t have asked for much more.
Perfect place to stay for a family getaway!
Beautiful house close to Mt Hood and 5 minutes to downtown hood river. Awesome views from huge windows. The only thing missing is a hot tub on the beautiful deck!
Clean, contemporary, friendly property.
Wonderful place for our family to all get together. We live not-too-far away in Vancouver, WA, but our eldest and his family came from Seattle to be with us. Diane was very kind when we had a family health crisis (a stroke) that kept us from our original dates.
It was snowy and beautiful. We went into town and played games and the guys watched a football game they all thought was important on the big screen TV in the living room.
Most important, our family spent time in a place with good sleeping and visiting space.
Just the best!
The house is gorgeous and very well laid out for family gatherings. The pictures do not do the space justice. My family spent Christmas there and it was just perfect - room for everyone, a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen, a large dining room table and a glorious view of the valley and mt. hood from many rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Communication with Diane was very pleasant. Thanks much for having us!
Ziphaus was the perfect house in every way. Our group travels out to Hood River annually for a Fruit Loop tour, and we will definitely make Ziphaus part of our annual plans. We loved the house, it was so comfortable for our group of 6, wonderful linens, perfectly stocked kitchen and a view to enjoy from every angle of the house that simply takes your breath away. We definitely would recommend this property. Thank you Diane for your wonderful hospitality. We loved your home, and hope to come back. The only thing we would have changed would have been to have come on a less rainy weekend, but despite the rain the house was a tranquil spot to sit and enjoy the beauty of the Hood River Valley. Everything about our stay was perfect! We definitely recommend this property
