About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 4

Immaculate and cozy, this Boothbay Harbor vacation rental epitomizes cabin-chic comfort with warm, knotted pine-paneled walls that glow in the natural light. Perfect for a family of four to escape for a memorable stay in vacationland, this rustic rental is equipped with WiFi, allowing visitors to enjoy modern amenities in a vintage atmosphere.

The Sebenoa Retreat is snugly situated in the shaded Sprucewold Colony of Boothbay. It is well-located less than a mile from both the lively Boothbay Harbor and a private beach, to which guests of the home are granted access!

Though compact, this cabin truly maximizes its interior space. Enter through the screened in porch, complete with wicker furniture for lounging, enjoying pre-dinner appetizers, or absorbing the spruce-soaked fresh air. The main entrance opens up to a shared seating area, dining room, and kitchen with high ceilings and simple decor, complimented nicely by the warm flush of pine furniture and paneling. Two high backed chairs huddle near a field stone, wood-burning fireplace.

The heart of any home is its kitchen, and this one is fully stocked with a fridge, oven, stove, and all necessary cooking accoutrements to make meal prep a breeze. The open floor plan creates a cheery, communal vibe conducive to lively conversations and quality time spent with your family.

Just beyond the shared living and dining area, await the full bathroom, complete with a standing shower, and two cozy bedrooms, one with two twin beds, and second with a queen bed. This home is ideal for four guests.

Due to its extremely convenient location less than a mile from the water and downtown area, you and your family will be able to enjoy the private beach or to explore Boothbay Harbor in minutes. Take curious kids to pet sharks at the Maine State Aquarium, or plan a hike through the idyllic meadows and forests of the Boothbay Region Land Trust. Nearby, East Boothbay boasts maritime marvels of its own.

This special cabin is perfect for your next family getaway. Aglow with rustic charm, it's a wonderful home base for making memories with loved ones. Perfectly sized for a family of four and their furry friend, you'll feel instantly at ease in this cozy abode during your next Midcoast Maine vacation!

About Vacasa, ME - Coastal Maine Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Cabin in the woods

 • 3 of 5

This is a cabin in the woods. Don't anticipate a shoreline retreat . There apparently is access to a beach but we were unable to find it having walked the area thoroughly.there is a small public park area about a mile down the road where you can get to the shoreline. The websites photographic description is misleading as the lead picture is a walkway to the beach, and for the nightly rate ,it would be reasonable to assume that is what you are getting.Be sure to read the small print and reviews .This cabin is essentially what you might expect if you were to rent a similar accommodation in most state parks around America, only with nicer decore and bedding. Boothbay Harbour however, is absolutely beautiful.

Was cute and reasonable, now highly overpriced

 • 1 of 5

Sad when a decent property, reasonably priced, gets relisted for an exorbitant rental cost way above what is reasonable. Beware of a week at $2,400 for sub-par furnishings and a bathroom that is reminiscent of summer camp memories and tin shower stalls. Too bad, was a wonderful place to stay when priced accordingly...

No beach access

 • 2 of 5

The listing is misleading. The cabin is not on a beach. Otherwise, it's pleasant enough and has a nice front porch.

Cozy & comfortable!

 • 5 of 5

We are a family of four and a dog. We loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy. The additional use of the adorable beach club was wonderful - water was crystal clear at high tide and such a magical spot. We did wish for a better furniture set up for 4 people in the living room. Family movie nights were tricky! But we made it work. Very nicely equipped kitchen and Boothbay Harbor is just wonderful. You won't regret a stay in this lovely home.
