Ambiente de granja rural pacífica

La simple vida de granja en nuestra propiedad tranquila y remota le da la bienvenida a nuestra familia. Descanse en una acogedora cabaña y despierte en un bello entorno tranquilo.

Estamos en un lugar privado en el país, rodeado de varios tipos de ganado, vida silvestre y alimentos frescos.

Los huéspedes tienen acceso a todo el nivel principal de la cabina, que es accesible para discapacitados. (El apartamento del sótano a veces está ocupado. Pregunte por detalles si eso es un problema.

¡Vuelve al tiempo unos años y disfruta de la vida sin televisor ni microondas! Debido a que vivimos de forma remota, el servicio de teléfono e Internet puede ser un desafío. Háganos saber de antemano cuáles son sus necesidades y le haremos saber qué esperar.

En algunos momentos del año, los huéspedes tienen la opción de formar parte de nuestra familia extendida durante su estadía. A veces también se proporcionan servicios opcionales. Algunos requieren una tarifa adicional.

Was a nice little quiet stay. Very much enjoyed it for an older gentleman like myself it was easy to access and the communication was great when I had a little trouble getting in they helped immediately. Will probably stay again when I come back to visit my grandkids! Also enjoyed the fur friends!

It was an amazing stay. The host was so helpful and friendly, we were able to meet her. The house is super quiet and clean. The beds were nice and comfortable. We were were able to see the cows, goats and sheep. The host so kindly shared her fresh cucumbers that were growing on her raised garden on the porch. It was so pretty to just sit on the porch and listen to the birds. Town is only about 15 minutes away and has a few restaurants, dollar general and a really good coffee shop. A few nices beaches near by. If you get a chance, try to hit standing stone state park, I think it was 20 minutes away and just beautiful. I would love to stay there again. And her prices are so reasonable.

Yes, there's NO t.v. And it was wonderful. Came here with my husband and son, we brought some board and card games and played those together instead of watching t.v. The visiting pups in the morning are SOOO precious. Extremely friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed giving them belly rubs.The view of the stars from the back porch is gorgeous. Fireflies flew around us. It was a beautiful, peaceful moment. The beds are very very comfortable and inspired us to get new pillows like what they've got. Kitchen is equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay. The bathroom is nice, shower pressure is good. Decorations and piano were great. We enjoyed listening to my husband play. We were just visiting for a competition, but if we're ever in the area again we will definitely ask to stay here again. Went to Burgess State Park to see the waterfalls. Worth it!!

Cute little cabin out in the middle of nowhere...which just perfect when you're trying to get away. The cabin was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Love the large walk-in shower We we're a little surprised that there wasn't a TV but we figured who needs a TV when you're trying to get away. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Loved watching the dogs herd the sheep Sunday morning. That was a real treat.

The listing clearly states that there is no TV. That is very intentionally done because we like to share our peaceful place with people the way we live it (also with no TV). We have great WiFi, if people want to check back in with more modern life. But the experience at our place is about getting back in touch with nature and a more simple life. We offer what most places can't/don't/won't.

We are David and Emily Varela, parents of 8 children from 27-16 years old. David was raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and Emily was born in Wisconsin, USA and lived in several states as a child until her parents settled in nearby Cookeville. After moving west for several years where she met David, we moved back to Tennessee and began raising our children. We chose Jackson County because of its more remote and simple lifestyle opportunities.

We live on a small farm where we raise most of our own food organically. We also own and operate Amigos Construction and build mostly residential homes. Business often takes us to Mexico, Israel, and Turkey where we enjoy interacting with the people of those and other cultures that we come in contact with along the way. We love meeting great people from all over the world.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We finished building the cabin at the end of our driveway in January, 2017 for Emily's elderly parents, making it handicapped accessible because of their needs. We also included the wrap-around porch, porch gardens, and simple but familiar furnishings that would bring peace, joy, and comfort to them in their final years. Mom never made it to the cabin, and Dad stayed for the last time in September 2018. Now we're opening up their special place for travelers to enjoy.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The cottage is simply furnished, encouraging a spirit of rest and relaxation. Views from the porch are serene, and the focus of their beauty changes from season to season. Wildlife, including deer and turkeys, can sometimes be seen foraging in one of the nearby pastures. And at times our livestock graze near enough to be hand fed through the fence.

During the warmer seasons, the chickens lay eggs in their house in the yard, fruit can be picked from the small backyard orchard, and vegetables from the container gardens on the porch.

When our family is available, we also offer optional services of preparing fresh, wholesome meals and teaching about our ways of life, including how to milk a cow, make butter, cheese, bread, and necessary life skills that have been practiced since the beginning of time.
