Rooms were clean. 1 set of towels per room occupancy, this was not really an issue because there is w/d in apartment. What you may need is laundry detergent, extra toilet paper, paper towels and/or dish towels Walk to train station is just shy of a mile. Plenty of places to dine and shop in Beverly.

We loved the property my only complaint is it had one nice full bath and 1 half bath that was super small with a cabinet so close to the Tolet it was almost impossible to use the restroom comfortable. There alao were only mug size cups no larger cups or glasses to drink out of. So really it was a great place to stay over all

Bachelorette Weekend

A group of 7 of us came up for the weekend to celebrate a friend's bachelorette. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. There was also off-street parking for our cars. The best part was the lovely view of the river! We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the back overlooking the river. It was also conveniently close to downtown Salem, and only a short ride up to Gloucester. I would recommend this to anyone seeking accommodations for a large group in this area.

Perfect for our stay

We had a great time staying here! A group of friends and I were traveling in from Denver for a wedding and wanted a central location to stay in. This worked perfectly, rooms were clean and process was smooth.

Overall good

Overall good stay. Price was good location was great, space was great for a family! 4 stars because the there was no vacuum to clean up (we had babies in our group so you can imagine that we needed a vacuum), the beds in the upstairs were super uncomfortable and and the downstairs back door didn’t fully close or lock. Check in process was super easy and host was very nice!

Clean, but old and minimal effort

This place was built in 1925 so uneven floors and steep stairs are expected. As an architect and contractor I noticed that the "upgrades" that were done to the place are rental apartment level and not homeowner level - ikea style cabinets that are clumsily hung and designed, unfinished cabinet bases - just blocking and open space, strange cove tile at the downstairs shower to hide rust from the cast iron tub that was reglazed and dirty/old caulking, windows do not stay open, electrical ciruits are easily overloaded. In addition, the furnishings are very old and not stylish/comfortable. Early 90's chairs and couch in the living room, beds on the 2nd floor are low to the ground, sunk-in, and have no box springs. Exterior door at the side exit does not close and water is leaking in and smells of mold. On a star rating - this is 2 star level hotel. Could be a 4 star if the owner put in a couple thousand and invested in quality furnishings and a few professionally done fixes.

Great location.

Great location!

We stayed at this property when we visited Salem. It worked perfectly for us. Plenty of room and the grandgirls were so excited to have their own beds and space.

Nice location.....needs updating

Definitely not the accommodations I thought I was getting. This was pretty run down. The pictures on the VRBO paint a different picture. I was disappointed as well as the first load of laundry we washed were ruined by Clorox that must have been left in the washing machine by the people that clean the place. Not a huge deal for me however my husband lost a shirt that was given to him by my stepson that died last year so needless to say he was pretty devastated. There was also an incredible amount of garbage left on the side of the house like possibly the downstairs neighbor has left that my husband and son took care of as the garbage night was Monday after our arrival. On a positive note it was close to all of our destinations. I responded with this exact response one week ago to the renters without any response. I typically would NOT leave anything negative however I was disheartened not to even get an apology.

Amazing Location and Spacious!

The location for this house was perfect, and there was plenty of room for our group of 6. Easy walk to breakfast, and short walk or drive to the T. Also all needs are very nearby, and the downtown area was super cute. We would definitely book again!

No hot water!

The advertisement was not completely accurate. While you can see the river from the back porch, it is very hot in the porch. This is a very old house in need of aome updates. Clean house. We had no hot water the entire first day. The plumber had to come only to find out the water heater hadnt been turned on. I asked for a partial refund. I was told they would consider it and get back to me. Still haven't heard from them. The window AC units aren't adequate to cool the entire house.

Good for our family gathering

This property served our family’s needs. Location is great, but unfortunately there was road work being done and the noise started at 7am. The apartment shows signs of wear and tear, and things like missing trim in the upstairs bathroom and windows that were difficult to operate are some examples. The faucet in the upstairs bath needs to be replaced (some of those in our party were unable to get hot water). No hooks or towel bars in the upstairs bath was an issue and a couple of small shelves for toiletries would be helpful. The ice maker in the refrigerator does not work and we were unable to find any ice trays. We simply bought a bag of ice instead. Otherwise, the kitchen was reasonably well supplied. Overall the space met our needs.

Nice property with safety issues.

This was a nice property for grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren. The host was helpful when we had trouble finding our booking on the VRBO website. Our only complaint was that the gas range had significant problems. When we heated it to 400 degrees to cook something, the exterior on top was so hot that one person received a minor burn after touching a pan that set on it. Also, it wouldn't turn off when we were done. We looked in the information binder to see what we should do. There was a special section called "trouble shooting the oven." We were instructed to click all the GFIs in the kitchen and flip the breaker switch. It took several attempts to trigger the GFIs as they don't seem to be properly installed. And we looked all over the apartment for the breaker box, but couldn't find it. We called property maintenance who told us the breakers were in the basement. The basement is poorly lit and cluttered, but thankfully the box was clearly labeled. That did turn off the stove. The maintenance company also told us that you had to push in the on/off/temperature knob in a certain way to make this work. I would probably wouldn't stay again unless the kitchen was rewired by a licensed electrician and there was a new stove. It's a shame because it was otherwise clean, comfortable and convenient.

A Witchy Good Time!

Four of us so very much enjoyed our stay at RiverView!! Everything was as advertised, though I will say that as two of us had some mobility issues, having two able-bodied travelers helped with lugging the stuff up the stairs. BUT... everything was as advertised and MORE!!! And truly... the lovely "welcome gifts" in the fridge were the perfect end to a long day of traveling. :-) Totally lovely... immaculately clean. Outstanding water pressure in the shower, as well as extensive storage in the main bathroom... a necessity for four female travelers!! :-) The beds were superb, the kitchen delightful to cook in. Only thing "missing" was a blender for Midnight Margaritas, but you know what? We figured it out!!! And truly, the space was a lovely, lovely place to rest in our four days in Salem. We were all honestly surprised as how close Salem was... you can "see" it on a map, but until you actually are there it's deceptive how accessible everything is. And having the Anchor Pub just about "around the corner" was an amazing perk. The only difficulty we had was personal; we had two members of the party with mobility issues and the stairs are steep with short risers. But you know what? We made it work. The rest of the stay was so on point it really didn't matter to us. But others with mobility issues should be made aware perhaps more clearly that the apartment itself is on the second and third levels of the house. Blessedly, the main bathroom and two bedrooms are on the main level, and therefore it is easily accessible and comfortable once you're up the stairs. As we were there off season (for the Imbolc weekend), we didn't have to deal with the usual crowds in Salem around Hallowe'en. Everything was as advertised and more. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you, iTrip, for an amazing four-day witchy weekend!!!! We LOVED our stay! We LOVED RiverView!

Great home in the heart of Beverly

The home was conveniently located to Salem and all surrounding areas including Boston. We were there for a guys’ trip and were very happy with the accommodations. The property managers were easy to communicate with.

Fantastic Visit

The house was very clean and matched the listing. Hosts were wonderful and very thoughtful. It was a quick drive to Salem and we took a train to Boston. The train depot was right around the corner from the house, and the hosts even provided brochures for local entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
