Unforgettable time on dreamlike waterfront villa

Just back from Zanzibar. We (2 couples and 5 kids) had phantasmic time in Casadamare Villa. Photos online do not reflect the beauty if this magnificent place. The house is huge (bedrooms, but also lounge, dinner and TV room), very well planned and tastefully decorated. The service was outstanding as well - starting by the cook (who is local but could be easily Italian due to the quality of home made pasta and grissini provided!), and continuing with personal waiter as well as cleaning team. Thank to Andrea and Sara (house management) we were able to organise several excursions (blue lagoon, local fishing, stone town, spice farm) - all worked out well and on time without any unexpected and unwilling adventures. Not only the house itself, but also the garden is amazing and has enough corners (sunny or less sunny) for every time of the day. The ocean and the beach are not suitable for swimming, since the water is too hot and the public beach is not cleaned from algae, however it will not stop you from observing wonderful sunrise and walks along the sandy beach. We literally loved this place and are jealous of everyone who will visit Casadamare!

IT WAS A DREAM - AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VILLA WITH A WONDERFUL STAFF

This villa is exactly as it appears in the photos online..... but more impressive in real life. It is very thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated. It allows for great socializing spaces (open air living room, dining area and media room) + very private sleeping quarters. All the rooms are very spacious and well appointed. (One note - the day beds are small - and more appropriate for children. So plan your group visit carefully. It'll be hard for two adults to share one of the large rooms unless additional beds are provided.) The location on the beach was excellent. The villa is 5 minutes walk to several excellent nearby to a range of hotels and restaurants. The staff was awesome. Very professional, thoughtful and proactive. Andrea himself (our main host) was always available, offered great insights into the island, and made sure our group had every need taken care of. Our entire group was very very pleased with this villa AND its staff members (who really made the difference). I cannot recommend it enough. Anyone who rents it will be more than pleased. Enjoy.

CasaDamare

We were there in Mid-October, 2019 for a class reunion African women from US, UK and Africa. About the Villa: CasaDamare - home away from home, beautiful and cozy. Pictures on site are representative. Recommended for large groups; too big for single families. Kitchen Staff Super Chef - Delicious food and great customer service. Manager/Co-Owner I will try to give Andrea a very honest and unbiased review; this should help improve his skills in order to promote the business of this great property. Customer Service: Andrea needs some serious work on his professionalism, customer service and flexibility skills. The Ladies and I felt he was very rude and condescending in a few instances but I will quote just a couple of these instances: 1. On one of the mornings while we were having breakfast, Andrea appears with 2 dirty wash cloths in his hand and asked that we stop using them in washing our faces as they were stained with make-up and foundation. What hotel does that and what are wash cloths for? And guess what? One of the wash cloths actually belonged to one of the ladies! Even after bringing that up to his attention he failed to apologize. The question here is: did he have to harass customers at the breakfast table because of wash cloths which they rightly have to use? The right thing to do if there is a problem is to call the group representative the side. Even though there wasn't a problem in this case. 2. Before reservation went through Andrea seemed very flexible but close to the time of the trip he became so unreceptive. Every request was turned down and very bluntly too. He would not let us check in before 2pm on day of arrival and check out after 10am on day of departure. He claimed it had been clearly spelled out at time of reservation. Certain situations like ours warrant some flexibility; going an extra mile to provide excellent customer service. We were not asking for an extra day or night, we just did not want to hang around homeless in a strange land after 25 hours of travel from different parts of the world. Some of our flights were as early as 4am on arrival and as late as 7pm on departure 3. He needs to back off a little, calling through out the day because he wants us to buy dinner was unnecessary. Cleanliness: Very clean but towels are very old and most of us couldn't use them. Not even the wash cloths that we were scolded about. No Internet even though the website states so. I still recommend this place.

Amazing Stay .. best family vacation so far

Casadamare is beautiful property located on the quiet white sand Jambiani beach with many beach side restaurants. The property is beautiful and that is truly an understatement. Our family of 15 found ourselves with plenty of space. The bedrooms were spacious but we spent a lot of space around the pool area. As beautiful as the property is ..what made it truly special is the service that was provided by the manager Andrea and his staff. It was simply outstanding and they made all of us feel right at home. I cant say enough about their warmth and hospitality. At the end of our stay we just we just wished we had a few more days. If you plan to go Zanzibar and specially Jambiani beach area there can be no better place to spend time with your family than Casadamare..

Exceeded every expectation - ultimate luxury!! Don't miss this one.

If you have the chance to book this villa - DO IT!! We have travelled all over the world with our family and this villa was the most fantastic experience we ever had. We stayed here for a luxurious week with our 5 children and what a treat was waiting for us. Andrea and Sara gave us a warm welcome and were attentive to our every need during the week. Andrea organized a tour of Stone Town, the spice tour as well as a boat trip to snorkel on a nearby reef. We had butler service, 2 chefs, housekeeping, guards, chauffeur, massage and even a tailor came and measured myself and the girls and made us some customized Swahili dresses and purses. The food is the best I have ever had. I'm used to going to the grocery store and buying a car load and preparing food for the week. The chef took care of every meal for us including afternoon tea and a special lemongrass organic tea for us to drink after our massages. We wanted to eat light so he made homemade soups (to die for!) salads and homemade breadsticks were a regular. I can't say enough about the food. We even had homemade doughnuts for breakfast along with our custom omelets, fresh fruit and the juices were amazing. Everything is homemade here, all the breadsticks, rolls, soups, everything. One night he grilled lobster and prawns seasoned with lime and butter. My 12 year old daughter had 4 helpings (2 whole lobsters) We came to Zanzibar for a week of relaxing after we spent a week in Tanzania for a safari and honestly, this villa is worth the 29 hour plane ride from our home in San Diego to visit on it's own merits. The beach is soft pure white sand and the ocean is warm. The tide goes out on a full moon and you can walk out to an unbelievable sand bank amidst the clear blue waters. The beds were clean and crisp and of course we had turn down service every night which included fastening the mosquito net, plumping the pillows and spraying fresh rose scent. It was heaven. Each suite had an air conditioner as well as a fan above each bed. We slept very well. The suites are huge with very flexible sleeping arrangements. We felt very safe, well fed, pampered and completely thrilled in every way. Thank you Andrea and Sara for an amazing week in beautiful Casadamarezanzibar! We will come again someday!
