Enjoy the star-studded night sky listening to the calls of the loons while sitting on our west-facing deck with amazing sunset, lake, and mountain views. Comfortable knotty pine custom home with cathedral ceilings and fabulous floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Our open kitchen and dining areas are perfect for entertaining. The island and kitchen counters are adorned in beautiful local Monson slate. Large wrap-around deck and perennial gardens to enjoy at your leisure. Roast marshmallows in our outdoor fire pit. The outdoor 4-person hot tub is available for a small nightly fee. Experience Maine, the way life should be. Connect to extensive snowmobile and ATV trail systems from the yard. Over 400 feet of pristine shared lakefront with a sandy beach and picnic tables. Kayak rentals are available upon request from May - October. Owners may be present on the property in a non-shared space during the winter months.

Maine Get Away

Beautiful spot to get away. We enjoyed hiking, local restaurants, relaxing in the hot tub and a fire at night. Gorgeous sun set view. Communication with Deanne was great.

Hot tub with a great view!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is rustic and has everything you need. I loved that it was decorated for fall. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the lake is beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful, but not that far from restaurants and shops. The owner checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.

Great spot!

Very clean camp in a quiet area, with nice views. Convenient to everything. Kids had a great time feeding the deer.

Fantastic Family Vacation

We had a great summer vacation in this lovely home on Moosehead Lake. The house itself has everything anyone could need, and it is situated in a great spot. We hiked nearby trails and kayaked on the beautiful lake every day. Couldn’t have asked for a better week.

Beautiful spot, off the beaten path. Deer everywhere, and not shy. We had a wonderful stay in your home overlooking Moosehead Lake. Would not hestate to stay at this property in the future.

Vacation with the deer

This is a lovely property in Beaver Cove, near if not on Moosehead Lake. The house itself has everything you need plus the added bonus of a family of deer who are your close neighbors and come by to say hi often. The shared grassy beach on the lake is easy to access and not crowded, even on super hot days. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Girls Yearly Trip

The cabin was very comfortable, relaxing, enjoyed the deers coming up to be fed. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit. Memories were sure made this past week. would recommend this for a vacation. Deanne was wonderful to work with.

Exceeded expectations - great location and wonderful property

We spent a long weekend, checking out the fall foliage and hiking. The home was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable well-stocked, and had an amazing deck and view. It was a nice neighborhood for walking. Deanne, the host, was super responsive and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place with a nice view and sunset. Saw deer in the yard and the access to Moosehead Lake and the area we hunt was great. Saw lots of game and a big bull moose.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our vacation at "The Ledges" was absolutely perfect!! The property was exactly as described, very clean and well-maintained. The lake/mountain views and star gazing while soaking in the hot tub were amazing!! The daily visits with the family of deer were delightful!! Deanne was a wonderful host, extremely helpful and easy to get in contact with. I look forward to a return visit soon!!

Peaceful

Very relaxing and peaceful place with a beautiful view. Remote but still close enough that in 10 mins you could drive to town (watch out for moose) or walk to Moosehead lake or a hiking trail. The family of deer that visit are such an added bonus. Host was very responsive. Thank you for sharing you place!

Peaceful

We had a wonderful time here. It was so relaxing and quiet. The hot tub was fantastic and our special treat was being visited by a deer family on a daily basis. Fabulous view of the lake from both lower and upper decks. Loved the porch swing also. Deanne was a great host who gave us a lot of information and tips to go by.

Ladies Trip

We are a group of 5 women that have known each other ranging from 10-20+ yrs. We take a 1 week vacation every year with each other. We are Best Friends. We all agreed that we had a pleasant and peaceful stay. We did not have a problem at all. The view is beautiful. Thank you

Perfection

My husband, dog and I just enjoyed a week at The Ledges. The home and property are beautiful! The views of the lake and mountains from the deck and master bedroom go on forever. The kitchen is gorgeous and designed for those who like to cook. The fireplace was so relaxing for reading and napping on the comfy couches. A hot tub soak at the end of the day was heaven! It was exactly the respite we needed. Deanne and Larry are wonderful hosts and very easy to communicate with. We already booked for the summer and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Location and Great Cottage

We had a wonderful time all told, but I will share a few issues that we ran into as I think these are most helpful to people.1. The driveway was steep and unplowed and was difficult to get up. 2. There was an excessive amount of emphasis in the "checkout procedure" left by the owner on cleanliness, going so far as to say we should leave the space "as clean or cleaner than it was found at arrival" while at the same time making repeated reference to the importance of not checking in early, or checking out late to allow time for housekeeping to do their job. At the same time, the space was not excessively clean. There was plenty of dust in all the corners and under furniture and whatnot. It just seemed a little unfriendly in tone and not in keeping with the casual cottage vibe. If you are going hold your guests to this high standard, you should make sure the place is immaculate. Alternatively, since the place is rustic and not perfect, be a little more easygoing with your guests.

Beautiful

When we pulled in the driveway there was 2 deer lying in the grass. We fed the deer 3 times a day. I would get up at 6AM and they would be there waiting for their breakfast. The house was gorgeous. The hot tub was in the perfect spot. Late at night we would lay in the hot tub looking at the stars. The master bedroom had a beautiful view of mountains and moose lake. People in town, Greenville were all very lovely and nice people. This was one of the best vacations we have been on. Private area was nice also.

Paradise!

We had an amazing extended stay at The Ledges. It was our 2nd time at this property but the first time in the summer season. Trees provide complete privacy on the beautifully landscaped property yet there are neighbors close enough that you don’t feel isolated. The home is immaculate and well equipped with anything and everything you could want or need, from kitchenware, bath items, games and movies for all ages, streaming tv, ac and a generator in case power is lost! It is easy to settle in and immediately feel at home. Wildlife is abundant with daily deer visits. We loved access to the association beach during the day and gazing at the stars at night from the hot tub. The owners are the nicest people and checked in regularly for maintenance. Thank you Larry and Deanne! It was a perfect summer at the lake!

Nice between season stay - Look forward to a return visit!

We went for a short stay (3 nights) and enjoyed our time there. We chose to sleep in one of the lower level bedrooms because there was a bathroom on the same level. The hot tub on the deck was nice & relaxing and the house had everything we needed. Loved seeing the deer at different times of the day and being able to feed them was a plus. We missed peak color season by a couple of weeks and it rained all throughout our stay, so we didn't get to do hiking & outdoors stuff we hoped to do. We did get to check out the B-52 crash site which was very interesting. All our communications with Deanne were replied to in a polite & timely manner. Look forward to returning in different seasons to see what else the area has to offer. Thank you.

Perfect getaway

This property is beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Everything inside and out was in excellent condition and worked properly. There were condiments, spices and everyday ingredients available for use in the kitchen. The bathrooms were fully stocked even shampoo, body wash and tissues. The owners made the stay comfortable and had all necessary info and numbers posted and in a binder. We enjoyed the hot tub and view from the upper deck. We were greeted by the deer daily (at least 7) and enjoyed seeing the fawn. Deanne was super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and very responsive. She even made sure the stay would be fun for our 3 year old! There were movies and games for adults and kids and this is a dog friendly stay. We will be coming back here! Amazing, THANK YOU!

A nice house in a lovely place

We have stayed in Beaver Cove previously and knew we loved the Moosehead region. This house did not disappoint. The day we arrived, the deer were waiting for the kibble Deanne provides for them. We loved watching them come to eat when we put the kibble out the days we were there. The house had everything we wanted, including detailed instructions which I find extremely helpful. The towels were huge and plentiful, the kitchen had everything pan, pot and device we looked for and the hot tub was heavenly. For people who are as old as we are, I caution that the master bedroom is a flight of stair up from the bathroom. But it was worth the trip for us to have the beautiful view of the lake from the deck off the master. We did not use the two bedrooms on the ground level of the house, but everything we did use was wonderful!

Great treetop views

Ladies weekend of relaxing. There ended up being 5 ladies and a few dogs, and everything went well. Things we enjoyed: The daily arrival of deer, both in the front and back yard. The location to get to different areas of interest. Plenty of vehicle space as we all came and went on different days from many mid-coast cities. Things we wish were different: Sharpness of knives in the kitchen. Better labeling of light switches. Every night it was a game to figure out which went with what. Washing of towels, had to stay an extra 2 hours because the dryer takes forever. Toaster was very temperamental and rarely worked. More toilet paper, luckily we brought some, but was surprised with how little came with the rental, as well as the hand soap in the bathroom upstairs. Things we with wish had been there: A pizza cutter and spatula's for the kitchen. Lounge chairs and a table for sitting on the back deck. We would have enjoyed being outside more had there been better places to sit/lay.
