Breathtaking location

Very large well appointed property in wonderful location and outstanding views. Superb facilities. Can be a bit cold in winter weather but would be fabulous in summer.

Stunning views and beautifully-designed

We had an absolutely lovely stay at David’s house. The views from the various balconies are gorgeous, and the verandahs are so well designed - protected from any wind or rain so you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces even when there are a few clouds around. When we arrived, we found the house very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery for our group. All the beds and bedding were very comfortable, and we appreciated the little details - the folded towels with toiletries on each bed, etc. David was a pleasure to deal with - very responsive to any query and generous to let us use the house’s boogie boards. We would recommend this place very highly.

Wow!

Every detail of the house rental experience was exceptional. Booking enquiry was answered promptly, communication before our visit, clear check-in information, and local knowledge about the afternoon kookaburra visits. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, great deck areas, laundry, plenty of towels, and space to spread out when back from the nearby beaches. The views are breathtaking. Exceptional in every way.

Wonderful!

The house, amenities and location were all perfect for what we were looking for, suiting the adults, the kids and our labrador. And those views! David was very thorough and responsive with his communication. Highly recommend a visit to Kokomo Beach House which is a 500m walk from the house and has great music, food and cocktails. Have already recommended the house to many friends, and I'm sure we'll be back too!

Simply Magnificent

Exactly as shown on line. Breathtaking views of Coral Sea (whales by the hundred) and every modern luxury and convenience. Impossible to fault. So perfect for two families or large group; Only thing left to do is book it again :)

Great house for families

We had a fantastic time at this property. It was well appointed with everything you could need for a stay away from home. Plenty of space for the kids with a great outlook over the water. The kookaburra feeding was also a nice touch.

Stunning house with breathtaking views

We had an amazing stay at Ascension at Point Lookout located high on a hill with views of the ocean. This is a very big house that comfortably slept 11 on 2 floors. It is an ideal house for 2 families - there are 4 decks, 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 kitchens - so plenty of room for people of all ages to find their own space and big areas as well for dinners. The view from the decks were stunning - overlooking Cylinder beach and way out to the ocean. The main bedroom has its own deck overlooking the ocean - perfect to wake up to - and an en suite which also has a view of the ocean - one of the most scenic showers I have ever taken! The kids loved the pool table on the bottom deck, the table tennis and the jacuzzi as well. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a grill on the bottom deck which is perfect for preparing meals for a big group. You can walk to the Stradbroke Island Hotel or Cylinder beach and it is a short drive to the shops and restaurants at Point Lookout. As mentioned this is a big house so you will need a big group to make use of all the space - but is perfect for 2-3 families. The location is ideal and you will want to stay more than a couple of days.
