There are 2 full baths and an outdoor shower. 3 New flat screen TVs are in family room, living room and master bedroom. Many people inquire about a swimming beach. Sunset Beach is beautiful and calm in the summer but once October comes there can be a strong shorebreak through April. There are many other beaches closeby on the North Shore that you can swim at anytime of the year
Check out out You-Tube video of a bike ride to the beach. You get to the beach in about 1 minute on a bike! Its under links and videos on this website.
You can find fresh bananas papayas, limes, avocados ( July- Oct) and mangoes on the property! Lots of flowers to make the famous plumeria leis.
If the calendar shows open it is open you don't need to inquire if its open just hit bookit!
This property is owner managed so there is no booking fees.

Aloha, we are Kama'aina (born and raised in Hawaii) and we also live on the North Shore. We purchased this acre as a place to retire one day because there isn't a more beautiful property or beach in all of Hawaii.
Ann Franzmann purchased this house in 2004
This magical property located on an acre of fruit trees has sweeping views of Sunset Beach. Just a short walk to the waters edge.
The winter world class surfing and whale watching, are unbeatable. The summer snorkeling and swimming in the crystal waters are amazing. The year round sunsets, shell collecting, biking, beach walks provide relaxation and exercise all in one.
Hale Plumeria is a perfect site for a family vacation. It is quiet, contains all kinds of plants and trees such as avocado, mango, plumeria, coconut etc. It is a short walk to a great beach and the house has all kinds of water toys as advertised, The kitchen is large and has most appliances you would need. Our family appreciated the free range chickens, which are found everywhere on the North End, although some might not enjoy the rooster wake-up. The screen porch is a delightful place to enjoy the sea breezes and listen to the waves any time of day or night. The house was precisely as pictured in the listing and very well-maintained. We enjoyed trying the local food at various trucks and cafes. We lost power the first morning but a call to the owner solved it quickly (the power was out in the area and would be back on in an hour). We would definitely rent this house again and recommend it highly to others looking for a great vacation in Hawaii.
Great location on the North Shore of Oahu! House had everything we needed to enjoy the beach and had all of the conveniences of home. Would love to stay again!
My daughters and son paid all expenses for me to celebrate my 70s birthday here. We loved this place and had a wonderful time. Plenty of towels and bedding, along with all the other things promised. We were grateful for the extras, like the little cooler and the boards. Though the rental is a little worn as far as needing paint touch ups, you need to expect that near the beach. My daughters and I loved the roominess and clean, comfortable beds especially. There were condiments and basic spices, etc., along with food items that were fresh. The owner left us a basket of breakfast snacks and coffee too. She is very friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach was short and easy. We watched the sunset on Sunset Beach almost every night. There was plenty of hot water for showers, but each person needs to wait until the other is done due to affecting the water pressure if two tried to shower at the same time.. It wasn't a problem for us. Little geckos kept the mosquitos away. We only saw a few bugs and ants--just needed to keep things in the fridge and sealed in containers in the cupboards. The only drawback for a couple in our party was the roosters waking them up at three and four in the morning. It was later on the days it rained (4:30 a.m.). We kept our windows open, so we could hear the neighbor's dog started barking each night at bedtime, but it wasn't a problem for me personally. We only used the air conditioners for a short time one evening to cool because of the high humidity from the hurricanes we arrived between. The fans were enough through the night the rest of the time as gentle breezes blew through the windows. If you want a true tropical experience, stay here, but go to the crowded city hotels if you cannot handle a few inconveniences of animal noise. At least this place is far enough off of the road where the traffic noises are not a problem and the surf can still be heard. We had fun with the chickens and a old stray cat that visited (though we wouldn't let it in the house). We named the cat Meowee (it didn't really meow or bother us). Clothesline, outdoor shower, hose and washer and dryer were great helps. This place is well stocked for cooking and lacked nothing in the way of convenience. We got my birthday cake at Ted's bakery and it was very rich and delicious. This place is central to everything. Don't miss the Polynesian Cultural Center or Temple and Visitor's Center! Thanks for the fantastic memories!
We were delighted to find upon arriving that the house is located so ideally. Sunset beach is gorgeous, the bike path is great, and shopping and food are just a few minutes away by car. The surrounding garden is lovely and the outdoor shower is terrific when coming home from the beach (hot water!). The place is very quiet except for the roosters calling in the early morning (sometimes starting at 3:00 am). The house is quite warm and stuffy, though air conditioners are supplied in the three bedrooms. The beds are exceedingly soft. There are some things in the house that aren't in the best condition: fridge, cookware, mugs (missing handles, etc.), bad-smelling cabinetry (including bathrooms and kitchen), towel racks (nonexistent in one bathroom) and curtain rods. The bicycles are welcome and a great convenience though more often than not in very poor condition. The TV is difficult to figure out for tech-morons like ourselves, and there were no instructions to be found. The lanai is great to have, and it's really helpful to have screens on all the windows, though insects can still get in by way of the mesh metal door to the outside. We had a great time on the island!
Great location - easy access to beaches and grocery store. House had everything you would need - beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, washer/dryer. Great space to hang out with the family. Great ocean breezes. Perfect house for our family of 5.
