4 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms tucked against the rainforest and close to the beach
Why Melissa McMahon chose Wongaling Beach
Litoria was designed for holidaying in the tropics—the perfect place to relax with family and friends. We’ve done many road trips staying in some great holiday houses and we wanted to include the best bits in our little piece of paradise. Having done many road trips with Abbi the border collie, we know how excited we get when we can find a modern, well appointed place that we can all stay.
What makes this House unique
•Pet friendly with fully fenced yard and concrete floors. •Tropical living with indoor and outdoor living spaces. •Pavilion house design with 3 buildings joined by decking. •Rainforest outlook just a minutes’ walk from the beach.

Centrally located between Cairns and Townsville, Mission Beach is made up of four seaside towns joined by 14kms of stunning beaches. Surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforest, Mission Beach is the perfect place to discover nature’s best without the crowds.
If you’re an adventure junkie then your options are endless! You can go for a hike in the rainforest, snorkel or dive the Great Barrier Reef, ride the river rapids, explore the coastline on a jet ski or jump out of a plane. For those that like a slower pace, then take a stroll along our golden beaches or national parks, cool down with a dip in a rainforest stream or enjoy a picnic on a deserted tropical island.
Getting back to nature doesn’t mean roughing it! Why not indulge in a day spa, do a little village shopping or enjoy a coffee or cocktail overlooking the coral sea. From fish and chips to gourmet delights, our restaurants and cafes won’t disappoint.
Conveniently located in Wongaling Beach, Litoria is walking distance to the beach, local restaurants and Rotary Park with its free splash pad, skate park, playground, basketball court and barbecues. Just a few minutes’ drive away is the aquatic centre (billabong, hydrotherapy and lap pools), Woolworths supermarket, the main township of Mission Beach (with more restaurant options and village shopping), and the World Heritage listed rainforest of Djiru National Park.
Mission Beach is an easy drive from Cairns or Townsville. Most people choose to self-drive, but there are airport shuttle bus, coach and train options. Please contact Melissa if you would like further information.
The easiest way to get around Mission Beach is by car. No car? No worries, you can hire one from Sugarland Car Rentals, dial a bus through Mission Link (it’s Mission Beach’s answer to Uber), or hire a taxi. If you like to do things differently, then why not swap four-wheels for two? You can hire a bike and peddle your way around the many bike paths and beaches.
