If you are an Angler, peaks thrust 13,000+ feet into the sky just west of our property, and brookies, rainbows, cutthroat, and brown trout fin placidly in the Wind River just 50 feet from your back door. The river is fed by numerous thermal springs, so it never freezes in the winter. Just above the property in the Wind River Range there are hundreds more remote lakes so clear they appear to be covered in nothing but cellophane. The upper Wind River runs through private ranches, willow flats, beaver ponds, and becomes public water in the Shoshone National Forest. It’s a region full of varied trout opportunities with excellent stream fishing, combined with exotic golden trout in the high lakes, makes the Wind River Range a sought-after destination for worldwide adventurous anglers.

This home is beautiful! Nice quiet location with a relaxing river flowing in the back yard ~ just what we needed! The kitchen is huge with everything you could think of. We enjoyed our time here with our extended family. There was one neighbor who seemed a bit bothered by the traffic going past her place to get to this rental, but other than a few evil eyes nothing came of it. We so enjoyed the town of Dubois!
Nice House in a Beautiful Setting
Fourth time to the Dubois area and the first time, emphatic we stayed in town. Made everything easy to get to. The house is not your typical mountain cabin. It's a very nice house that backs up to the Wind River. There is an appartment in the basement that is a separate rental, but we only saw our neighbors a couple of times and never heard them when they were actually in the apartment. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.
The house was very homey and perfect for our family.
I was a little concerned because the top floor and bottom are two separate rental units. However there were two different sets of renters in the bottom unit and we never knew it other than the cars. We had a baby just learning to crawl and the carpet through was perfect. Terry was easy to work with and Darlene who helped us while we were there was great. I could text her about anything and she immediately got back. It is not in top of the mountain but it had a creek/river running behind it that we enjoyed. There are some house around it but again we never even knew the neighbors we anywhere close. It was a great place to stay.
The property is magnificent and the view is overwhelming.
This property is excellent and very spacious. Everything is well taken care of. The house is truly home away from home. However, it is not intended for a handicapped person. However, a little creative thought will overcome. The owner is thoughtful and will try to be helpful in anything one needs. Not far from Grand Tetons or Yellowstone.
Beautiful Home on the Wind River
We enjoyed our stay at Terry's place last week. Trout fishing out the back door, wildlife in the yard, and great view of Rams Horn Peak. Fantastic home that is fully equipped made our stay here very relaxing. Hope to return again soon. Thanks Terry and Al.
Beautiful views and very spacious home.
No fans in the rooms, you might end up sharing the backyard with strangers and the owner walks in from time to time, even if you are not there.
The yard and irrigation system is maintained by either myself or a contractor. If we ever need to go in the unit, is to perform standard maintenance and we always make sure no one is occupying the unit. This is standard procedure with any property.
