The owners of Carolyn’s and Carolyn’s Other House, Mark & Carolyn, purchased the property the houses stand on 25 years ago. Married on the property before any construction, they returned to Caye Caulker many times before deciding to build. The original cottage was built by Mark and his friends and finished with hardwood floors and a simple yet charming decor. With a marvellous view of the reef and Caribbean Sea from the deck and the trade winds cooling the house, the cottage has been a huge success with travellers from all over the world.
There is now a second cottage on the property, Carolyn’s Other House Rental. A little larger, with a bigger deck and set back on the property, the newer house is finished with the same care and offers the same beachfront experience as the original. Mark & Carolyn are happy to share with vacationers the same environment that brought them to Caye Caulker all those years ago. This rental is perfect for couple or single.

My name is Amiela Ash (also know as Amie), I am the Manager of this property. I am a born Belizean and raised in the southern region of Belize, Toledo District, in a remote village called San Pedro Columbia. While I was attending college, I would regularly come to Caye Caulker to work part time jobs. After accomplishing my college degree in 2008 I fell in love with the island and eventually moved to reside in Caye Caulker.
Ever since my stay, I have been working at various businesses within the island gaining invaluable experiences, meeting many faces and knowing the areas within my community. I then worked for Caye Caulker Rentals, now known as Caye Caulker Vacation Homes as a receptionist, then promoted to manager and eventually became the new owner of the business.
As the new owner of the Caye Caulker Vacation Homes, my goal is for you (guest) to spend quality time at this island, with quality services and hospitality offered by my business.
