Excellent for our stay during my Aunts Funeral! Everything was clean and effortless! I would definitely stay again, under different circumstances! I would say same however I don’t see that happening again! Perfect for 5-6 people!!

My family traveled from 3 different states to celebrate my son’s engagement. Sunset was the perfect location for us to stay. The kids with the baby loved the large bedroom on one end for a little more privacy and threatened to take the bed home with them because it was so comfortable. We enjoyed everything about this beautiful home and my granddaughter absolutely loved Dixie!

Beautiful serene farmhouse

We loved staying overnight on the farm. The property and house was clean and well kept. Our kids loved being able to visit the animals. The house had everything we needed and the owners had great communication. We only stayed one night but would definitely consider staying longer if we are ever passing through again. The only thing to just note, not a problem, is that you can only access the third bedroom through the second, as well as the second bathroom is off of the second room. This worked fine for us because the kids were staying in those rooms. There was only access to the bathrooms through the bedrooms. Fine for families. This could’ve been listed in the description but I missed it. We also traveled into town which had a good variety of restaurants and a nice little downtown feel.I would definitely recommend this property and haven’t been able to stop thinking of the beautiful views since we left!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much it was very quiet & comfortable . We enjoyed sitting out on the swing watching the sun go down… Eating breakfast and a few suppers in the kitchen. Loved & touched by reading the book there “Restored”. Only thing not real clean was windowsills on back porch.. but other than that I really nice place to stay hope to come back again sometime in the area. Very easy to speak with owner Holly. very well in a comfortable bed.

Perfect location

Muletown Girls' Getaway

This was one of the most delightful getaway places we've been to! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the Sunset Farmhouse was a charming place for a short girls' getaway. The home was immaculately clean (and larger than we initially thought!), the hosts provided clear directions and responded promptly to messages prior to our stay, and we didn't have any issues while there. My friend and I have both talked about how we would definitely come back again. This was truly a restorative getaway!

Cute house on farm

We stayed in the Sunset House on Muletown Farms for the second year in a row for family weddings in Columbia. Great relaxing area. Sitting on the porch in a rocking chair or the porch swing was perfect in the warm sunshine. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy the new firepit next to the house with outdoor lighting. The property is beautiful to walk around with a friendly horse & dogs to pet. Great place to stay with several cabins/houses to choose from.

Best weekend getaway!!!

We planned a kayaking trip and really needed a place that could accomodate our kayak trailer. The farmhouse was perfect!! So peaceful. The owners are fantastic and were literally a phone call away if we needed anything. We will definitely be staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and quiet. We did not get to meet the host due to running around for Daughter's wedding. All correspondence with them was answered promptly and very kindly. I hope we get to meet them next time. P.S. love the Keurig machine!

Peaceful Retreat

My family and I, and 2 grand dogs, needed a house in the country for the weekend close to a wedding venue of a family friend. Everything worked out very well. The dogs and we loved exploring the well maintained grassy surrounding of the house. As one family unit it was easy enough to walk through my bedroom to share the one shower in the house, a situation typical for a house of the era. We would certainly come back to this house if the need arises again to stay in the area. Thank you for sharing!

Our dream was to find a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and this land became exactly that—and so much more. Today, we’re thrilled to share our little slice of tranquility with others who are looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most.

This farm was settled in the years between 1808 and 1812. Originally, the land was part of a larger parcel gifted to Colonel Grant by George Washington himself as a token of gratitude for his leadership during the Revolutionary War. Eventually, the Grant family sold the property to settlers from South Carolina, the Armstrong family. The exact dates of the construction of the main house and the side cabin are uncertain, but it is believed to have been built between the years of 1812 and 1889. The Armstrongs sold the property to Dr. George, who became the most beloved and notable veterinarian for livestock in Maury County, and the property became widely known as the George farm. Dr. George passed away a few years ago, and the farm unfortunately fell into a state of disrepair due to his illness. However, we fell in love with this property, its history, and its potential to be a working hobby farm. We saw a place for busy people to unwind, connect with nature and God, and enjoy a stress-free weekend. We hope that your stay here will make your journey a little more pleasant along the way.
