About this property

2-room aptmt in super ski area Portes du Soleil with a view of Les Dents du Midi

The apartment is located in the highest Swiss ski resort in the ski arena Portes du Soleil on 1670m. It is located in a chalet with 8 apartments. Our apartment has a terrace with direct view of the Dents du Midi massif. The furnishing is lovingly and individually designed and tailored to suit 4 persons. Kitchenette (Season 2013: New fitted kitchen) and living room blend harmoniously with each other with the fireplace as a focal point. On the large round dining table you can prepare yourself for the adventurous skiing day with a leisurely breakfast in the sunny morning. Coffee maker, stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster and kettle, as well as a Rechaud for the traditional cheese fondue are available. In the bedroom there are two single beds and a bunk bed. These are suitable for people with allergies. A car parking space and a heated, lockable ski storage room are available. No pets! We have deliberately avoided a TV in favour of an intensive relaxation.

Locality and surroundings: The place has still largely preserved its charm as a mountain village, which originally consisted of several pastures.
There are several restaurants in the locality. Daily needs can be purchased locally.
However extended après-ski is something that one searches in vain here.
The variety of restaurants and shops is continuously being increased!

The nearest town is Monthey, located in the Rhone Valley and is about 30 km from Lake Geneva.

Sightseeing / culture: Les Crosets is well suited as a starting point for day trips especially outside of the ski season.

Lake Geneva naturally lets you explore with Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux.

Sion is also a worthwhile destination. Those interested in culture will not miss out the famous museum Fondation Pierre Gianadda and many other cultural activities during their visit to Martigny.

If you want to go high up, you can also pay a visit to the mighty Mont Blanc and Chamonix over the St. Bernard Pass.

Sports and recreation: In the nearby hamlet of Val d' Illiez there is a newly expanded and renovated thermal spa.

In the summer this is an excellent starting point for beautiful hikes.

Mountain bikers also come at their own cost, thanks to a large signposted road network.
Even some chairlifts are in operation during the summer season for the downhill freaks!

A great stay

The host was helpful in communication and the apartment was very well equipped. The apartment would benefit from WiFi but that is just a minor thing. Overall very happy with our stay and we would return again.

Perfect location for skiing without borders

Nicely located appartment for two or a small family. The location is perfect for exploring the large ski area of Portes du Soleil. The view from the appartment is spectacular.The appartment is well equipped with kitchen ware and sufficiently furnished. At the time we stayed there was no grocery shop open in Les Crosets. Therefore it is advisable to take some food for breakfast and dinner with you at arrival. I liked the place very much.

Nach mehreren Aufenthalten im Winter waren wir nun das erste Mal zum Wandern im Sommer hier. Die Wohnung ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für verschiedenste Touren. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Touren ins Skigebiet

Wir kommen gerne immer wieder! Beim Frühstück Blick auf die Dents du Midi, dann die Zufahrt überqueren und über die verschneite Wiese zum Lift. Touren durch die Schweiz und Frankreich und wer mag, kann abends noch Wandern. Und in der Wohnung: Das Wohlfühlpaket :-)

Tolle Skiwoche in Les Crosets

Wir hatten eine super schöne Skiwoche in Les Crosets mit super Schnee und ganz viel Sonnenschein. Die Ferienwohnung ist super schön eingerichtet - man fühlt sich sofort heimisch und wohl - und die Lage ist perfekt. Man startet direkt von der Wohnung aus mit den Skiern und kommt auch einfach wieder zurück. Der Vermieter ist super nett und antwortet immer schnell auf alle Anfragen.

Angenehmen überracht

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Die Bilder bringen die wahnsinnig schöne Aussicht nicht rüber. Wir haben die Aussicht auf die Berge und die Weiden mit Kühen und Schafen jeden Tag genossen. Die Wohnung ist top eingerichtet. Man hat dort alles was man braucht und viel mehr. Wir hatten Karten dabei, mit denen wir sehr viel kostenlos oder mit Vergünstigung nutzen konnten. Wir konnten mit den Sessellifts in unterschiedliche Richtungen (auch nach Frankreich rüber) fahren und dort wandern. Für die Mountainbiker ist es ein idealer Ort. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt.

Skifahren und viel Gemütlichkeit am Abend

Wir verbrachten unsere Skiferien in der gemütlichen Ferienwohnung. Es fehlte und an nichts, der Kamin wurde jeden Abend eingeheizt. Die Küche ist Super ausgestattet. Die Betten waren sehr Bequem. Einzig ein helleres Licht, im Wohnbereich wäre wünschenswert. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Séjour très agréable

L'appartement est très bien situé. Une petite piste de ski à 50 mètres qui vous permet d'accéder à la station principale et ça c'est top! Il est aussi bien fourni et la vue depuis le salon est magnifique. La décoration est un peu vieillotte et les matelas devrais être remplacés car un peu dures. En résumé nous avons passé une séjour très agréable et reposant. Nous reviendrons certainement l'année prochaine . Merci beaucoup aux propriétaires.

Gemütliche, gut ausgestattete Wohnung in tollem Skigebiet

Wir waren zu viert in den Skiferien in Portes du Soleil. Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sie ist klein aber gemütlich und passt für eine Familie resp. vier Leute (die sich gut kennen), tiptop. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es hat alles was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war schnell, freundlich und zuverlässig. Im Dorfladen von Les Crosets hat es genügend Auswahl, um eine Woche abwechslungsreich zu kochen. Es hat auch zwei, drei Restaurants, die wohl OK sind, aber auch nicht mehr. Halli-Galli sucht man vergebens. Das Skigebiet ist toll.

Traumwoche in Les Crosets

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in der Ferienwohnung. Sie ist hell und man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf die Dents du Midi. Die Lage ist super, man geht nur wenige Meter zu Fuß zur Piste. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, die Betten sind bequem. Und abends sitzt man gemütlich vor dem Kaminfeuer, viel besser als Fernsehen!

Idyllisch und ruhig

Top Ausstattung, gemütliche Einrichtung mit herrlichem Blick vom Frühstückstisch/der Terrasse. Perfekt organisierte Schlüsselübergabe, top Kommunikation, sehr gerne wieder. Es fehlte an nichts. Das Bad ist etwas klein und die Beleuchtung insgesamt etwas spärlich. Gemütlich eben!

Wundervoller Ausblick

Wir hatten ein paar wunderschöne Tage in der Schweiz. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es fehlte uns an nichts. Die Küchenausstattung war komfortabel, die Betten sehr bequem, der Ausblick auf die Berge hammermäßig, die Lage ist im Sommer ruhig und perfekt zum Ausspannen. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder Ausflüge, und MTBiker kommen hier auch auf ihre Kosten. Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt :) Vielen Dank, Herr Köhrer, auch für die unkomplizierte und hilfsbereite Kommunikation.

The apartment was bought in 1982 by the families Steinweller and Kuhnke. Meanwhile, Dieter Köhrer (son-in-law of the family) takes care of the rental. We live in the Karlsruhe area and rent the place exclusively for private purposes, in addition to personal use.

Why they chose this property

For three generations the apartment has become an epitome of skiing in a great ski area and with unlimited possibilities! The apartment is located in the ski resort Les Crosets, so you won’t need a car during the entire holiday. Shops, restaurants, and of course, the slopes are within walking distance and only a very short distance away!
Our apartment can be reached in 4.5 hours from Karlsruhe. The journey from the highway to the apartment (of almost 1700m altitude) takes about 20 minutes.

What makes this property unique

Before and after the day of skiing or hiking and excursion tours in summer or extensive mountain biking tours the view of the Dents du Midi massif is simply indescribable!

In summer, the terrace is ideal for sunbathing by the tolling sound of cowbells.
