It was excellent! We were visiting my daughter’s friend who is a lifeguard on the National Seashore. Since she was very far north for that, but lived in Wellfleet, Truro was the perfect spot. Just off of 6, this old school hotel is fully updated with modern amenities.
We got in very, very late. We had to drive from Boston after our flight so we didn’t arrive until 1 or 2. The owner made sure we were able to check in at that time. This is not like a hotel with an all night front desk, but we got the same kind of service.
They were also very attentive when our AC wasn’t working. We went for a long day at the beach and came back to a perfectly chilled apartment.
The space itself had everything we needed. It was pretty and highly functional. With three women staying you can imagine the make-up and hair products. But there were six baskets on a shelf just outside the bathroom. All we had to do was fill our baskets on day one and take them with us into the restroom for showering. With two mirrors in the main living space and ample light, we carried our baskets out to one of the mirrors while someone else took a shower. It worked out perfectly!
I loved the balcony and even sat out there one day to do my make-up. If you look real hard you’ll even see the water from out there.
My daughter used the pool and enjoyed that. We made use of all the appliances mostly for coffee and tea and some snacks. Overall, highly recommend!!
