THIS IS A GREAT CABIN WITH A HOT TUB AND AND SOME MTN VIEWS

CLOSE 2 EVERYTHING UPTOWN BUT NOT TOO CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY! GOOD INTERNET!

Walk to the lakes or down Antelope Ave. Close to dining , shopping, golf,fishing,recreation center!! All within a mile.

This is a top notch NEWER rental. This home has just been put back on vacation rental August 2023, and heavily upgraded .This is a very well furnished uncluttered home with plenty of room to stretch out. Huge timber frame hand made beds, and a coffee table to match in the living room everyone can get around. Cedar Closets and Tongue and Groove Ceiling Through Most of the Cabin!! In floor heat, gas heating stove (like a wood stove,but clean!)

PAC MAN, Giant Bean Bags , Board games, Cornhole, Horseshoes (in season)and a covered deck so you can enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather. Many of our guests walk the neighborhood or down Antelope Ave. to take in the views.

3 Bedroom 2 Bath Office With Cabinesque Decor and Some Continental Divide Views. There is room for 10 in beds (1 K, 4Q). We are close to the grocery store, lake, golf course ,rec center, fishing, and WalMart, but not so close as to have highway noise. Wolf Creek Ski area is about a 30 minute drive. There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway. Please ask permission to bring ANY trailers.

This home has granite tile countertops, upgraded laminate flooring, tile baths/kitchen and entries & 3 bedrooms and an office bedroom.You will love the flannel sheets in the winter. This home features new or newer appliances and furnishings in a modern cabin style. We pride ourselves on keeping our rentals VERY clean and you will find yourselves very comfortable in our home. The home features in floor heat, a gas heating stove (looks like a wood stove but no mess) in the living area. The living area is 2400 sf and has a split floor plan. There is a WELL STOCKED PANTRY AND KITCHEN, laundry detergent, and at least enough essentials to get you started, etc.. We are local and always available to help!

LIVING ROOM

Large sectional, living area, huge coffee table, large screen TV. PAC MAN, BOARD GAMES, HUGE SUPER PLUSH BEAN BAGS!!

KITCHEN
Gas stove and cooktop, side by side refrigerator w ice/water in door, microwave, crock pot, 4 slice toaster, blender, regular and espresso coffee makers, roasting pan, stainless cookware, plenty of dishes, accessories, baking implements etc. Seating for 6 at the aspen dining room table, 6 at the breakfast bar.

BEDROOMS
There is one king master bedroom , a large queen bedroom, a large queen bunk queen bedroom (sleeps 4). Queen bed in the office. All the bedrooms have large cedar lined closets.. My wife and I hand made timber frame beds, some tables and accent furniture for these rooms now the we harvested from 400 year old dead standing douglas fir trees from the Weiminuche.

BATHROOMS
The master has a double sink, large jacuzzi tub and shower.
The second bath has a sink and tub/shower combo.
We have an 80 gallon high capacity water heater .

ENTERTAINMENT

You will find decks of cards, board games, and a large screen smart tv in the great room. There is plenty of free TV or whatever you stream as well as local TV for NFL and other sports in season. Plenty of seating for everyone!!

Full Size Washer/ Dryer and wash tub.


OUTSIDE
The raised deck is fully covered and offers some views of the range in all seasons and has a large timber frame table and benches and a large 5 burner grill. The area is lighted and has a fan and is where the hot tub is located! The back yard in fenced, entirely enclosed.

ADDITIONAL INFO
As part of the PLPOA you can use the rec center for $18 per person per day, indoor pool, jacuzzi, weight room, and raquetball, and buy short term fishing licenses for the stocked lake.
Refundable Deposit $1000. Covers incidental damage and excessive cleaning.
Cleaning is based on 2 persons cleaning for 4 hours. Additional hours billed at $35 hour. You treat our house nice we treat you nice:). It is unusual for us to charge extra for cleaning unless we encounter something unusual.
Cleaning & Hot Tub Fee is $250. We empty the hot tub between EVERY booking! Remember, it's a hot tub not a bathtub. We highly recommend rinsing off in the shower before entry. 10 people, 1 hot tub, one week, yuk!:). The lake is close! Please WATCH YOUR KIDS AROUND WATER! We are not responsible for injuries or fatalities on the premises during your stay. The hot tub has a cover that can be secured while not in use!

Our hosts were so welcoming! The property was clean and the kids loved the jacuzzi and video games. Everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of room to expand and enjoy. Deer and fox in the neighborhood, we saw them nightly. Fishing through the clubhouse, inexpensive and the lakes are less crowded than public lakes.

Wonderful house

Our extended family of 10 had a great ski vacation staying here. The house was spacious and we were able to cook all our meals and eat together at the counter bar and kitchen table. The hot tub was also a hit as well as the heated garage for all our ski gear!

Great location. Comfortable and clean!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful house. Everything was comfortable and simple. The location was convenient to everything. We used the gas fireplace as it had gotten a little chilly and it worked great. The hottub was a perfect start and end to each day of activities! It was nice to have a washer and dryer available with detergent and dryer sheets, too. This would be a great place for large families or couples/friends traveling together.

Everything you need in a great location

The house was well stocked and more than enough room for our family. The kids had space to spread out and slept well in the comfortable bunk beds. Everyone had room to spread out and lots of things inside and outside to entertain a wide age range of people. We drove to ski everyday and came home to cook dinner every night. The kitchen was well stocked and an easy drive to everything you may need. Home owners responded quickly with any questions and gave tips and advice as well.

Great space for family gathering!

This property was perfect for family members to spend quality time together. All the while providing each of us with our own quiet space and privacy. It was easy to stay organized and focused on the time we spent together. We were able to cook together easily, due to the natural flow of the kitchen, workspace and dining options. We had a family reunion with 18 guests and it was a wonderful day! Great winter stay!

The house is just as described. It is a beautiful home with everything you could need. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. From spices, to bake ware, to bowls, utensils and even found saran wrap when I needed it. The owners were very responsive and were even willing to let us in a little early. The heated floors were a treat when we arrived. We loved the huge bean bags and the big comfy couch. The highlight for most was the Pac Man game! The rooms were plenty big for our party of 9 (4 adults and 5 teen/kids). We appreciated the fire stove, the hot tub in back and the responsiveness of the hosts. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfy stay. We skied Wolf Creek and did the hot springs too; all in easy driving distance. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Ken and Anita!

The house was spectacular. Had all we needed and even more.

We loved this house. House H-D a great layout and location close to town. Owner even stopped by early and shoveled the drive and door way when we received about 6” of fresh snow overnight. Hot tub was nice as well. The covered patio shaded the area which allowed for hot tub sitting while it was actively snowing. Pretty cool. Will definitely have this house on tops of our list when we return.

Spacious, comfortable, and well equipped home that was a pleasure to come back to after the skiing.

We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled into garage and entered this home. This property had everything we wanted and more. Great bedrooms and good baths. Master had a shower and a jet tub. Great family room with fireplace, large TV and a great play table surrounded by comfortable sectional couch. Kitchen had all quality appliances and plenty of dishes, flatware, pots and pans, etc. It was easy to cook meals which came in handy in the middle of prolonged snow storm. My kids went out on the back yard and put up a snow man. Owners came in one morning during the snow storm and shoveled the driveway for us. Both Ken and Anita were most helpful. We would definitely consider renting this home again next year if decide to ski Wolf Creek Pass.

We came for a weeklong stay and did not expect the home to be above average for a rental, boy were we wrong the house is really clean and had all the comforts of home, Hot Tub, Netflix/Dish Network on a nice Flat Screen HD TV, Really nice comfortable Beds with enough clean linens for the trip. We also enjoyed the lights out neighborhood which gave us a good view to the stars and most nights we had deer feeding in the front yard. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home in Pagosa Springs. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home! The view was amazing from the beautiful back deck, as was the hot tub very relaxing! My mother uses a walking cane & had no problems getting around inside and outside your home! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with family and we will definitely be coming for a return visit! Excellent house in great location

Our trip to Pagosa Springs in an annual trip. We have stayed a several different places over the years and this home is at the top of the list. Excellent home with ALL the amenities you need, hot tub included right on the back deck. I have stayed in similar caliber homes in the area as well as others that are larger and make big promises but fall short with even the simple details of Wifi or Cable. Not to worry here. Walk in, unpack and make yourself at home. Thanks for the stay and we look forward to more in the future.

EXCEPTIONAL HOSTS

We booked Pagosa Springs for Colorfest because of the balloons. My sister and I went to Albuquerque several years and did so enjoy. She is now in a wheelchair and not able to do the Balloon Fiesta there. Ken was quick to respond to all my questions about his property and the ADA accessibility there. Not only was his home perfect for her to navigate, but he and Anita were hands-on, physically present and willing to do EVERYTHING they could to make her visit pleasant and memorable. We didn't have to ask for anything, they were there asking what they could do for us! The house is so spacious, she never got cornered or stuck anywhere! Even the bathroom was big enough for her to ride in and fully turn her chair around. Aside from all the handicap issues, the house was spotless and fully equipped for all our needs. Weather was perfect (we are from Tx and the cool was such a needed respite for us). Mornings, we enjoyed our coffee on the deck, watching the beautiful Canadian geese and local birds galore. The outdoor grill is fabulous!!! Ken and Anita, thank you for going WAY over and above for our family. We will not forget your kindness. By the way, you WILL see us again! Gary and Marlene

A Good Time Was Had By All!

We have just returned home after spending a week at your lovely home in Pagosa Springs. The location is perfect. It's close and yet in a quiet, scenic area looking over the golf course and onto Pagosa Peak and the beautiful mountains. Mountain Views close to golf

My wife Anita, myself, and our two children love it here (they are both in college now). I first started skiing here in the early 90s, was the only place that had any snow (nothing has changed). Limitless outdoor opportunities abound here, hiking, fishing, hunting, and skiing are the way of life here. Why would we want to be anywhere else. We have been VRBO hosts since 2013, and it released us from the burden of being traditional landlords. We meet a lot of great people from all over the country and they appreciate what we offer.

Why they chose this property

We love the great views, location, and this spacious, well designed home. It has an 80 gallon boiler handy for a lot of showers. It has a great covered deck with views which can be used all year round. There is room to stretch out and plenty of level parking and closet space. It is generously furnished and appointed in all the rooms. Huge sectional, large bedrooms with timber frame beds, and a large open living/dining area !!! Kids will love the queen bunk!! Kitchen has everything you need including an espresso machine. It has a fenced xeriscape yard (to trap the little ones but NO PETS please) , oh, how I loathe yard work. The gas fireplace has a blower and can heat the place up on chilly mornings no need to start a fire (but you can if you like).

What makes this property unique

Split Floorplan, 2400 SF on ONE LEVEL! Gas wood style stove that heats the house quickly. Nice dining area (w view) and breakfast bar area. Great room and aspen ceilings are awesome. Views are out of this world. Back raised deck is a great place to relax, plenty of space, and the mountains knock you out.
