Holiday house in Florida at a lake, close to the Gulf of Mexico

Bedrooms 4
Half Baths1
Space 2,045 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 - 14 nights

About the property

Property by the lake, beach, Jacuzzi, 4 bedrooms, max 8 persons, swimming pool

The house spreads out over 2 levels with about 190 qm of living area.

It is very spacious.

On the ground floor there are: large, open plan kitchen with separate kitchen/breakfast bar, living room, dining room, 1st bedroom and guest WC, and the laundry room with washing machine and dryer, as well as lots of shelves.

And there is a garage which fits 2 vehicles.

On the first floor there are: main bedroom (large bedroom) with modern, large main bathroom (Jacuzzi tub, large shower, double wash basin and WC). From the bedroom you have access to the 25 qm balcony, that offers an astonishing view over the lake. From the hallway you reach the 3rd bedroom that also faces the lake and features an access to the balcony. The fourth bedroom lies in the front of the house and is also surprisingly large.

All bedrooms have large built in wardrobes (WIC)

Also in the front part of the house there is the second, modern bathroom with large shower, washbasin and WC.

Exterior area: From the dining room on the ground floor you reach the exterior area with a large pool deck, which invites you to sunbathe and celebrate, just like the also large (25 qm) sitting area which is protected by the balcony. Our fiberglass salt-water pool is heated. A salt-water pool is clearly favorable compared to a chlorine pool - soft water that is kind to the skin. Something that is especially important if you travel with kids.

This house is considered to be the prettiest in the entire community. Our guests call it a paradise and enjoy the extraordinary diversity of the bird life that you can marvel at up close.

The garden has been laid out with a lot of love. At night, the lit palm trees at the edge of the lake give a special atmosphere.

The house is extraordinarily well maintained and nicely equipped.

Location: Western Florida is renowned for its dream beaches.

Especially Tampa with its miles of sandy beaches and many islands which are amongst the prettiest in the United States, are easy to reach. Port Richey lies north of Tampa, a convenient location, and the large airport in Tampa can be reached in about 30 minutes. The Gulf coast lies in 10 minutes to watch the sunset.

Shopping malls, shopping facilities, restaurants, cinemas, golf courses, adventure crazy golf, tennis, horse riding etc., everything in immediate vicinity.

Even Bush Gardens or Orlando with its amusement parks can be reached quickly by car.

Nature reserves, water parks, museums, theaters, zoos can be found numerously in the immediate surroundings, large casino in Tampa, bars with live bands or even the party district of Ibor City, if you prefer to stay in a tranquil surrounding but are still in for some party - all of this is also easy to reach.

Are you looking for calmness? Then you are just right here! The daily viewing of the Canada Goose, herons, eagles, hawks, ducks, parrots and plenty more types of birds amazes all our guests.

Huge sweet water turtles walk calmly across the lawn. The lake, rich with fish, invites for fishing.

Are you looking for calmness, but also for some fun? Then you are just right here as well!

Amusement parks, nature reserves, zoos, water parks, theme parks, adventure parks and so much more invite you! Your vacation won't be sufficient to even only enjoy a small selection of all that the area has to offer.

Party animals will have fun in the bars with their live bands. Or enjoy the experience of Ibor City, the night-life district in Tampa.

Uncountable sports activities make your holidays complete.

Swimming, fishing, snorkeling tennis, golf, cycling, sailing etc.

Nice house in quiet suburb.

  • 4 of 5

Well equipped and high standard, arrived late after flight issues, no trouble finding villa and settled in well. Lovely view of lake, interesting wildlife, ducks and ducklings made us smile! Balcony great to watch sunset over the surrounding area. Set on quiet suburb in easy reach of local facilities, Publix and Walmart both within 10min drive. Pool area great and a sheltered area for when it gets too hot.

Christof in contact regularly if any issues.

Looking forward to returning in 2018 and 2019

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival, we were very happy to find the house so nicely appointed. The pool and lanai are a pleasure to relax in.

Booking is a breeze. Chris was very available and eager to answer any questions we had. He really is interested in making sure his guests have a pleasurable stay.

The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the view out the back is serene. There a plenty of towels.

The previous reviews covered the attractions quite thoroughly but I will mention that Tarpon Springs and the 3 Anclote Parks are a must. Be sure to see the attractions around Spring Bayou in Tarpon Springs and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral is beautiful and open to the public when there isn't worship. John Chestnut Park in Tarpon Springs and James E. Grey Preserve, 6938 Plathe Rd, New Port Richey are two of our favorite parks. So much to do and see within an hour or so drive.

As I mentioned in the review title, we are booked again in 2018 and 2019.

2nd year renting just as wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second year staying at this beautiful villa in Port Richey in July 2016. The house is huge, gorgeous inside and out. The owner is pleasant to deal with and handled all of our needs promptly. This house comes fully equipped with everything a family would need. We booked this second time around for the full month of July, and hoping to do the same in 2017. Here's a review I posted from last year. "We were skeptical thinking that this was too good to be true during our 1st time here in 2015, so asked Chris the owner, if we could have a family member who lived in Florida take a look at the rental. He obliged instantly and arranged for time when the maintenance crew was there to come visit. Once our family member said it was beautiful we signed up immediately. From start to finish the paperwork was a breeze. It was perfect for the three of us (me, my husband, and our 7 yr old daughter *she's now turning 9*). The pool, lake view, and fishing off the dock was great! On 4th of July, forget about going someplace else for fireworks, we stayed home and enjoyed 360 views from the lake. Wild life on the property is amazing! Between all the ducks and feeding them, the Ospreys, Macaws, lizards, and turtles, we were in our own paradise. We used our own fishing poles as well as the ones Chris had on the property for fishing in the lake, as well as in the Gulf. In the lake we caught bass, mangrove snappers, and sunfish which of course we threw back into the lake. Took trips to Disney, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Clearwater Aquarium, Legoland and more. All within 2 hours time. We also rented a pontoon in Homosassa with River Safaris who were great. Chris took care of our every need and we had such a wonderful, relaxing vacation that we will definitely be coming back again, hopefully next summer, and rent from Chris when we come back to Florida to visit our friends and family. Having the pool in the back helped our daughter to finally be able to dive and snorkel on her own!! We stayed for three weeks and next time will be renting for longer time. We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave as it had become our home too. Thanks Chris for everything." Chris goes above and beyond and makes you feel that his home is your home too.

Can't go wrong

  • 5 of 5

I loved my stay at this beautiful home, it really has everything you will need and of good quality and will probably stay this way do to the owners commitment and insight, which made for a very comfortable stay. The jet tub was especially nice after a long flight and long days out exploring. The only thing missing in the house was my home reclining chair. If you have a mobility problem with stairs you should know that there is no downstairs shower. There is a great entertainment package from tv to ping pong to bikes to gps and on and on. Communications and the deposit refund with Chris was easy and very prompt.

I had a great time exploring the many state parks in the general 40 mile area around New Port Richie in December without the humidity and mosquitoes. I'm not a big beach guy but there are some within 20-30 minutes. Seen some great sunsets.

Fishing the lake at the house was fun, I'm still having nightmares of the bass or gar that broke my line. Enjoyed watching the wildlife from the comfortable deck area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 week stay and consider myself fortunate to have found this rental, and highly recommend it.

Property was older, very clean and presented very well.

  • 5 of 5

Everything that was needed for a relaxing holiday was in this house. The house was clean and well presented. We had a problem with our television and very quickly it was sorted. Port richey is a great location, close to everything. The villa itself had the perfect position next to the lake, where we tried our luck at fishing- plenty of bites but didn't catch anything! We made use of the bikes that were in the garage and played table tennis in the warm evenings. It really was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would recommend this villa for a very comfortable, relaxing holiday base.
