Home at Skalicka was constructed in the early 1900s, reconstructed in 2018 and still retains some of the historic touches. Exposed brick walls and wooden beams, a handsome collection of 1950-60s furniture have captivated residents, friends and guests.

If you're expecting a hungry crowd, the incredible downstairs kitchen features immaculate appliances and seating for more than two dozen guests.

Downstairs, there's also an impressive hall with charming oak floor and winsome view to the garden. It depends on your taste if it is private yoga morning place, afternoon café or private night cinema.

There is no classical living room but the hall upstairs boast Halabala chairs and 1960s iconic sofas for a group of 15.

The two double bedrooms, family bedroom for 4-5 and the dorm and two bathrooms are on this floor. One more double bedroom downstairs has a private entrance and a private bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed or two single beds, wardrobe, bedside tables. The wardrobe is spacious enough for all you laguage.

The home has a quiet neighborhood and a charming outdoor space with a garden, a large wooden terrace and BBQ. You can just hang on in the garden the whole day and enjoy fresh air. At the end of the garden, just alongside the brook there is a fireplace that'll bring back childhood memories in a flash.


What to see and do
The home is within two minutes from the local swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, and a snack bar. Comfortable and quiet bikeway connects Skalicka with Lazany and it is suitable for in-line kid or beginner skaters.

There are various delicious eateries in the area. With in 20 minutes is top steak restaurant Mitrovsky angus, with in 10 minutes cosy restaurant with four-star-wine bar in Jamne. Typical inn with Czech cuisine is reachable by nice 3km-along-side-a-brook walk in Lazany. With in 10-20 min drive there are restaurants, cafe, bars, pizzeria, kebab, in near by Tisnov, Kurim or Brno.

The Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelena Hora, inscribed in the UNESCO list or the pilgrim church in Krtiny, called a baroque pearl of Moravia region, both projected by Santini Aichel.

Moravian Karst, one of the most important karst area of Central Europe. In the area of Moravian Karst, there are more than 1100 caverns and gorges. But only 4 caves of the all number are open to public. There is the underground river Punkva – during the cruise you can see there the bottom of the famous Macocha Abyss . The cave Kateřinska jeskyne has unique limestone columns. The Balcarka Cave is full of colorful stalactitic decoration.

Surroundings is a great place to take a fabulous walk or go riding bicycles. Only 2 km from the home is a horse farm providing horse riding and horse courses.

Paddle boarding trip can be your “family adventure” at Brno dam.

Adrenalin lovers can join MTB XC adventure bike race Hape tour every year in June.

Golf players cannot miss the representative golf resort Kaskada, golf paradise with three nines and lakes. Thirteen of interconnected lakes, trees, and the proximity of the forest allow Scottish architects to create a very nice layout.

Luxurius wellness is just 7 min from Kaskada in Maximus resort.

Brno with all the attractions of the main city in the region is about a 25 min drive so is certainly an option for a day trip.

Bike and wine lovers can enjoy Moravian region at wine paths. Some of them are famous others are still and picturesque. The wine paths are on the south from Brno.
