About Vacasa of Southwest Colorado

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Casa Verde is a great place to stay for a family or large group. We had a group of 17 that was able to fit with a few air mattresses. The house is bigger than it looks with an upstairs and downstairs living room. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing! The location is perfect, about 5 minutes to the town and 25 to the mountain. It is a great deal for a big house with a great location. Forrest was more than accommodating and great to do business with. Would recommend this stay for anyone!!

Just adequate

 • 3 of 5

This house is just adequate. We did not spend a lot of time there so it suited our purpose but would not stay there again. Not very well stocked. We ran out of towels. There were no knives that would slice steak we were getting ready to grill. Even had hard time with a cucumber. The glasses were small plastic ones like you get in a kids meal. Had problems with the cable TV. Would not recommend this as a place to stay if you would be spending much time in house

Large house for extended family. Large kitchen and eating area. Bedrooms for everyone

 • 3 of 5

The location is great, close to town, and lots of activities in the area. The house is large, but not in really top condition. There are several nuisance fixes that should be done, but no deal breakers.

The management by Vacasa detracted from the vacation. The company did not respond to issues, and could not be reached by phone. It would like to do this home again, but not through Vacasa

Nice large home. Great for family get togethers. Lots to do in the area.

 • 4 of 5

Spacious home for eight adults and six children. Each couple had their own room and the cousins all got to sleep over together in the bunk room. They had a great time! Nice large kitchen with lots of eating space. We put both tables together and everyone could eat together. You normally can't get that in a house.

Nice but Neglected

 • 2 of 5

This 5BR house was nice for our large family with a large kitchen, dining area, and living room all opening out to a front deck and back deck with a hot tub. It met our needs with our extended family gathering from all over. The owners appear to have neglected maintenance for some time. The front deck (2nd floor) was in poor shape and a number of windows had window cranks that did not work. The front door dragged and took some effort to open. Several light bulbs were burned out or missing. However, when we contacted the rental agency they were quite responsive coming out on a Sunday to deal with some of the issues. Since we spent most of our time visiting the sites in the area the maintenance needs did not really impact us too much.

Big House for Family Gathering

 • 3 of 5

We had our entire family, our 6 adult kids and their families including grandkids on this trip so the 5 bedrooms, spacious kitchen, dining, and living room areas were great for gatherings. We did have a smaller 2nd house down the road along with this one. The hot tub was popular. The setting was quiet with great views. The owners appear to have neglected long term maintenance somewhat but the rental agency was responsive when contacted.
