Le chalet fait partie de notre forĂȘt de 100 acres pr les randonnĂ©es .PAS D’INTERNET NI CABLODIFFUSION offertes: l’occasion de vous dĂ©brancher! Pensez nature!

Located 6 km from the village of Stratford, we offer you a newly renovated cottage on Lake Thor facing Frontenac provincial park. It is a dream place for nature lovers, very quiet lake without big boats or jet skis. There are 2 bedrooms with double beds, new mattresses and very comfortable. The sofa-bed is also new. The chalet is on the edge of 38 hectares of land (one hundred acre wood) for long walks in the forest. No internet connection offered to give you the rare opportunity to unplug!

Perfect for a relaxing trip

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We were there with our small dog and it was the perfect place to get away and relax. The lake was extremely quiet and we saw very few other people around. We were able to visit the sepaq park and had a beautiful hike. The lake water was extremely clean (you could see the bottom!) and we enjoyed swimming and using the kayaks!

Perfect get-away stay for my husband, myself and out small dog.

Just what we needed! The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. On a quiet road with little traffic, overlooking a beautiful lake and park. Trails to hike nearby, interesting towns to explore in the area if you want a road trip. The host is very responsive and communicative. A1!

Small Quebec Getaway

Cottage appears as shown in images. There is Wi-Fi, and a screen + DVD player for entertainment. The waterfront is shallow and the lake is calm and quiet. Recommend water shoes as there are mussels. A nice hiking trail right outside the cottage. Most trails in the area do not allow dogs.

Calm on the lake shore

As per our expectations with exception of cycling. Very nice lake with one side adjacent to a provincial park. The cottage is just fine and very well located. Perfect for kayaking. Area is mediocre for road cycling. Surrounded by 90 km/HR max speed roads.

Such a relaxing quiet stay!

We spent 5 days here (2 adults & our puppy). The communication with Regean was very good. We found the cottage comfortable after doing a light cleaning ourselves. The property is nice with a beautiful view of the lake. The water at the property is shallow which was good for the dog. The place provides 2 kayaks and a pédalo which we used to visit the beach at the provincial park across the lake (fun outing). The location was very quiet (though we were there during week days, after school started up). The patio, BBQ and walking the cottage road were nice. The kitchen is well appointed. There is a small market with food & wines maybe a 10 min drive away but we were happy to have come well stocked. Overall nice stay at a good spot.

Peaceful Winter Break

We found ourselves forced to relax and unwind, which was the plan. The view of the snow covered lake from the huge windows of the chalet was peaceful and we were surprised that it wasn’t buzzing with snowmobiles before we learned that local community isn’t a fan of motorized toys in the summer either. The chalet was snug, very clean, with a well equipped kitchen and ample towels etc in the bathroom. We lit the wood stove every evening and enjoyed our wine and books or watched a movie until bedtime. Because there’s no wifi or tv, we loaded movies onto the iPad before we left home. Heading home now much more relaxed than 10 days ago.

Nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs bon sĂ©jour, l'hĂŽte est parfait et trĂšs gĂ©nĂ©reux. Nous n'avons manquĂ© de rien et avons apprĂ©ciĂ© l'endroit mĂȘme si les voisins sont beaucoup plus proches qu'il n'y parait. La prĂ©sence d'une camĂ©ra de surveillance Ă  l'extĂ©rieur qui bougeait et s'allumait de temps Ă  autre nous a un peu dĂ©stabilisĂ©s et nous a enlevĂ© notre sentiment d'intimitĂ©. Au moins il n'y en avait pas Ă  l'intĂ©rieur... Nous garderons quand mĂȘme un trĂšs bon souvenir du lac Thor et remercions RĂ©jean pour son accueil!

Petit coin de paradis

Deux femmes de 64 ans et 73 ans dont une Ă  mobilitĂ© rĂ©duite (arthrose). Endroit trĂšs tranquille avec vue sur le magnifique lac bloquĂ©e malheureusement par les barreaux des rampes (Ă  repenser ...). Lits d'un confort incroyable et serviettes Ă©paisses Ă  souhait. L'eau est d'une qualitĂ© exceptionnelle. Dommage que le mobilier du salon ne soit pas Ă  haut dossier car il aurait Ă©tĂ© plus confortable pour quelqu'un qui fait de l'arthorse dans les cervicales. Nous avons eu le bonheur d'avoir la visite d'une famille de bernaches qui sont venues se nourrir de trĂšfles sur le terrain du chalet nous offrant ainsi un spectacle d'une heure au moins. À notre grande surprise, nous aurions pu nous baigner car l'eau Ă©tait assez «chaude» pour ça mĂȘme si nous Ă©tions au dĂ©but de juin. Petits points nĂ©gatifs: le kayac jaune devrait ĂȘtre remplacĂ© car il est trĂšs instable (nous avions Ă©tĂ© avisĂ©es), un bain-marie aurait Ă©tĂ© bien utile, la poĂȘle Ă  crĂȘpes est Ă  remplacer car elle est bombĂ©e et l'aĂ©rateur du robinet de cuisine est Ă  remplacer. Comme nous ne sommes pas «techno», nous aurions apprĂ©ciĂ© avoir un feuillet explicatif pour utiliser la tĂ©lĂ© / lecteur de DVD. Un escalier pour se rendre au lac serait aussi un plus. J'ai enlevĂ© un point Ă  cause de ces Ă©lĂ©ments. Le propriĂ©taire a Ă©tĂ© d'une gentillesse, d'une courtoisie et d'une patience exemplaire car nous en Ă©tions Ă  notre premiĂšre expĂ©rience avec Vrbo. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons adorĂ© notre sĂ©jour qui a vraiment passĂ© beaucoup trop vite.

Notre famille avons passĂ© un trĂšs beau sĂ©jour dans ce petit chalet trĂšs propre et accueillant. Le secteur est tranquille et nous avons pu profiter du lac ainsi que des sentiers dans la forĂȘt.
