Private Lodge at Center Hill Lake

We had a great vacation in Tennessee mainly because of the Bear Lodge. From the moment, we drove through the gate and saw the beautiful view and homes, we were impressed with the layout of the cabin home. We were even more impressed when

we walked in and saw our accommodations. We immediately felt at home, and knew we were going to have a good time! There were all sorts of surprises for us from two screened in front porches, a beautiful deck outside, a gazebo and a huge grill and smoker and green egg plus another area for lounging off the deck. The flowers were blooming in various areas of the yard and were beautiful. The kitchen was equipped with top of the line cookware, and all sorts of dishes and accessories were in the cupboards including wine, martini and champagne glasses. There was a bowl on the dining table filled with all types of goodies and a bottle of chardonnay, all complimentary. We especially enjoyed the spice rack and Dunkin Donut coffee beans. We did not have to go to find a place to eat since we were able to cook healthy and delicious meals in the log cabin home. By cooking together and breaking bread , we were able to unwind and appreciate one another’s company. In the evenings we were able to share stories and spend quality time together. One of our guests would go upstairs into the loft area in the mornings and turn on a special TV program to perform yoga exercises. We can hardly wait to return for more adventures and relaxing times!

Cabin was wonderful, clean, everything worked. Nice little park nearby for kids to play. Relatively close to Caney Fork River. Beautiful scenery. Highly suggest staying there.

I have been renting places all around Center Hill Lake for many years now and believe me, I have seen some really, really rough places. Whether it be bugs, steep steep driveways, multiple flights of stairs to climb in order to gain entry or simply mice, yes mice, running through the living room while watching TV, I've seen it all. Including mold and mildew indoors. None of that here: this is without a doubt, the nicest rental I've EVER experienced around CHL. Second place is a long way behind and never seen by me again! Some observations: there were absolutely no bugs, dead or alive, in the cabin. I have no idea how they pulled this off, and I was there for 2 weeks! The wifi is smoking fast. It has DirecTV. Ordering pay per view is possible and on the honor system..leave the money on the table. There's all kind of games in the loft area, X-Box, whatever. A kids wonderland. There's a Big Green Egg, smoker, BBQ, you name it. Wood burning fireplace, terrific french door refrigerator and believe it or not, La Creuset cookware! Are you kidding? And everything else is Pampered Chef! Not Wal-mart. The last think I'll say is, don't go shopping for anything but booze before you get there. Many of the essentials are there that you won't find in other rentals. Rent this place and have the time of your life. Did I mention it's in a gated community? No drive-byes here. This is a year-round rental for someone, not just the summer. And no, I'm not related to the owner nor have I ever met them, this is just an awesome place.

Ray and Matt have a beautiful home that is obviously well taken care of. They are gracious hosts who are attentive to every detail with many "extras" like a complementary bottle of wine upon arrival, soaps/shampoo, etc. if you forget yours, coffee to get you started, etc. They even had us text to make sure we had arrived safely! If you don't go to the lake nearby, there is something for everyone to do both in the house and outside as across from their house is a huge playground with sand volleyball courts, swings, walking trails, etc. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back!

The house was nicely decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Looking forward to a return visit!
