Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place had several beds and can sleep a couple families. It was close to town and the beach with an easy walk to anything. The kids enjoyed the pool each day which we had to pay to heat it. Pretty disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Upon our arrival there was food on the ground in the kitchen, hair in showers/sinks, kitchen sink disposal kept going out, spider webs, thick layer of dust on light fixtures, and all the furniture is stained and worn. There’s a bunk bed on the top floor with the wood breaking and a screw exposed. The appliances, furniture, and house as a whole was worn down and needs refreshing.

Plenty of space for people with larger groups. The only thing that was horrible was the alarm for the pool on the door. It doesn’t give you long enough to bring a bag in before it’s howling.

We all could not stop talking about how gorgeous this house is!! Totally exceeded expectations in every way. Property managers were extremely responsive and helpful, the place was clean, and it had everything we needed. 5 minute walk to Seaside restaurants and bars, 2 minute walk to the beach. Would stay again 100%!!

I would best explain the sleeping arrangement as enough space for 4 couples (one on a sleeper sofa) and 6 kids/teenagers. Each of the rooms has it's own balcony which makes it nice for everyone to have a place for privacy. The location of the beach and entertainment is perfect for teenagers. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely rent this house again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a great spot tucked in the back of Seagrove but super-close to downtown Seaside. The only entrance to the home is right by the pool, and FL law requires all doors that access a pool be outfitted with an incredibly loud and immediate alarm the second the door opens. If you forget to push the button, or forget to quickly close the door...you'll know!! That is unfortunate, because the house is otherwise very comfortable. Note that while it sleeps lots of people, the kitchen table is tiny and only seats 4! Plan to eat out! Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

I had multiple gross stains on my bedsheets and duvet. There was a pile of dirt on my nightstand. There was a glob of dried toothpaste in the shower. I will say the management company was very responsive and changed my bedding the next day and offered to reclean the house but we were already moved in by that point. This could be a great house, it just needs some TLC. For example the trash drawer is broken.

Super close to Seaside w/ Pool & Restoration Hardware-esk decor!

Reviewer Comments: We have absolutely fallen in love with the Seaside/Watercolor area and staying in a beautiful and conveniently located home just adds to our getaway experience. 143 Forest is perfect! Our three boys loved the funky upper bunk room... and the additional adorable 2-bunk room on the 2nd floor is perfect for a bigger party. The decor is beautiful and is likely influenced by Tracery in Rosemary Beach. And the pool (we requested to have it heated for a nominal additional fee due to our stay being in Feb) and the 4 bikes on property added to the fun. We basically biked everywhere and LOVE the miles of nearby trails. We enjoyed the Taco Bar, the Airstream gourmet food trucks, Pickles, Great Southern, Borago, The Broken Egg and The Red Bar in Greyton Beach. For shopping... all of the shops in Seaside/Watercolor are great... and we enjoyed exploring Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach and Greyton (for those who like home decor... check out Beau in Greyton). The staff at Royal Destinations can't be beat. Super courteous and attentive in every way! We can't wait to return!

Everything you said about 143 Forest is so close to Seaside, shops and restaurants and beautifully decorated. The bikes included in each rental are perfect for getting to nearby areas, and if you want to explore other parts of 30A, it's a short drive. We're so happy that you're happy! Please keep 143 Forest in mind next time you visit 30A!

Great Location and Great House!

This house was great!! We had 3 families all with 3 kids and we all had plenty of beds and rooms for us all! Having the pool was amazing, however the pictures of the pool look way bigger than it actually was. It still was amazing tho! The door to the pool doesn’t close smoothly tho, so the pool door alarm kept going off all week which was a bit annoying. For the amount of money we paid for this house, I would have loved more pool chairs to sit on outside, or even ANY chairs upstairs on the sun deck. Also for the amount of rooms and people here, and money spent, the kitchen was not that great. Dishwasher didn’t work and we had to hand wash everything. The stove never got hot enough and bacon every morning took about an hour to cook. Some drawers wouldn’t open all the way due to poor design of the kitchen and then the pots and pans were mediocre as well. One baking pan, and nothing to put stuff in the oven on. This is a house that hosts a lot of people, but the kitchen does not. Plan to bring more pots and pans if you choose to eat in a lot. Besides the kitchen stuff, and need of more chairs outside, this place was amazing and an even more amazing location. Would come back!

We will absolutely take your constructive criticism to heart and take an inventory on the kitchen as well as try and work with the home owners on adding some out door furniture. The BBQ grill has also been replaced. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: "You were great at your service and having someone come over and adjust the viewing of the TV. The living room and master bedroom TVs are located inside armoires that would not open enough for everyone in the room to see the TV. I requested that the doors be removed and the man that you sent over was very polite and helpful. The house did not seem to be up to your normal standards. I have rented properties through Royal Destinations before and been very pleased the quality of the homes. The rugs were very stained and marks on the door and some walls. The furniture in the living area was stained and the seating cushions were old and uncomfortable. The cushions in the eating area were stained and the table had scratched paint. The wood was chipped on the front door. The outdoor furniture was very old and had cigarette burns. There was a container of used cigarette buds left on the outside table."

This home has accommodated many guests over the years that it has been on our program and has provided many parties with a memorable experience. 143 Forest has been well loved, but still has a lot to offer. This home sits in the heart of Sea Grove beach and is a short walk or bike ride to the nearest beach access, Publix, and Seaside. Guests enjoy having access to a private pool, and the home is big enough to easily accommodate most bigger parties. We appreciate your feedback and we hope to have you back again next year with Royal Destinations.

Not entirely what you expect

Doors fall off hinges when u open them and most doors slam into something when opened due to the poor design. There is no need for a half bath in the dining area. It’s kind of a gross thought, and should be a pantry. The master bath / bedroom was fine except for one broken door and the shower door which bangs into the shower head. The day room should be just a bedroom and the pullout sofa needs to be replaced if u want to consider it a bed. Horrible old mattress. The kitchen garbage not even on a track. Broken so it falls on you every time u try to reach the back can. Kitchen dining table is old and knicked and just looks crappy. All rugs need to be replaced. Just old and dingy. Upstairs was fine and enough space. Just more broken doors that fall off when opened. Bathrooms were big and plentiful. There was a leak coming into the kitchen from above next to the dining table when it rained hard. Grill needed repair, and they came out right away to repair. Staff at Royal Destinations were great and the accommodations were good except for what I stated above. The location is really good but the dust from the road is a bit much. Lastly the garbage situation. There is just as much garbage on the ground inside the bin than what is in the bags. Garbage service does not pick up what is not in bags and we arrived to a lot of loose trash inside the bin. I would rent with kids again but not adults looking for something nicer

In the mean time we have made a few updates that have come in the form of updated pool furniture, landscaping, and replacing a few furnishings. Photographs better than it is

This property photographs well, but was not up to our group’s standards. The cleaning staff must only change the linens and put out fresh towels- the rest of the house looked untouched from cleaning. The couches were dirty with stains, breakfast table paint peeling off the surface, and the floors were filthy- and having small children playing on floors I was grossed out. I had to locate the broom on day one to clean the dust clots and filth off the floor. The bathrooms sinks were dirty as you could see residue of shave cream and men’s facial hair stuck to the sides. Oh and I saw three bugs while we were there. The house may sleep multiple people, but the 1/2 the space is for kids and one bunk spaces looks like it was the laundry closet turned into a 2 person bunk room. Other than beds the space is not designed to accommodate a large group (we had 6 adults and 3 kids under the ages of 3). The lack of dining space is undesirable. We had all 6 adults crammed into a breakfast nook to eat dinner together. The only reason a gave 3 stars is because the location to Seaside center is excellent!! You can easily walk to the center in less than 10 minutes. The bikes were a nice addition to the house and we did use them. I would recommend asking to have the bikes serviced prior to your stay bc the chain feel off one bike midriff and our friend was nearly injured from flying off the bike. Also if you are renting gear be specific in quest and placement of items. I rented a bike trailer from my baby to bike along and the company dropped off a trailer with broken seatbelts. I have the same trailer at home dnd know how to operate it- if you were unfamiliar with this product you may not know how your child would be in danger if and accident took place. They also shared helmets would be delivered and 1. No helmets. Then when I called to see where the were the delivered later adult helmets. I don’t need adult helmets for a children’s trailer. We also rented a golf cart- 1st the cart was delivered to the wrong address, and then went for a night ride the following day and the headlights were burnt out. The concierge was very responsive to send out maintenance to look at and try to correct all our problems, but it should have to be corrected it should be right the first time. All these instances added to the poor rating. I’ll definitely be back to seaside, But not this property and management company.

We will surely take your assessment of the property into consideration as we get into our off season this year and make a point to address all of these issues that you've mentioned in your review. 143 Forest has provided guests with many great memories over the years. Since your stay we have completed a deep clean, replaced the grill, updated the pool furniture, spruced up the landscaping, and done as much maintenance as possible throughout the home. Royal Destinations is always willing to send the cleaners back to fix any correctable cleaning issues. We are also willing to schedule for pest control. If you stay with us again, please keep both of these in mind. We have a very responsive team available that is willing to do whatever we can to make sure you have a pleasurable experience. Regarding the gear rental issues, we apologize that you had issues, and will happily provide your feedback to the gear rental companies in hopes that they can correct their issues going forward.
