'The Blackberry'-25 Acres - Meilleure vue (voir le livre d'or)

La meilleure vue dans les Blue Ridge Mountains! Cabine entourée de 25 acres de propriété de montagne isolée donnant sur les gorges de la rivière verte. La cabine a deux chambres (Queens) / deux salles de bain avec un loft pour enfants (loft équipé 1 lits doubles et lits superposés) avec 1 canapé-lit queen dans le salon. Peut accueillir deux à huit personnes confortablement.

Profitez du porche avec une vue sans fin depuis les hamacs et les chaises berçantes et faites des feux de soirée dans le foyer tout en faisant des s'mores. En juillet et en août, des hectares de mûres fraîches sont cueillies à la main et transformées en tarte.

À moins de 3 km de la cabane, parcourez des centaines de kilomètres de sentiers bien entretenus, pêchez à la mouche dans la rivière verte locale (remplie de truites), nagez dans de nombreuses cascades locales, tube, radeau ou canoë (voyage en flotteur) sur la rivière verte, flânez dans la ville locale de Saluda (boutiques et restaurants) ou à proximité de Hendersonville et Asheville. Des vacances en famille qui créeront des souvenirs pour les années à venir.

Cabin, setting and views were excellent. For now, the road and driveway are a work in progress thanks to Hurricane Helene's flooding and washouts from last year. We'll be back!

The cabin was perfectly situated an amazing view. We cooked a little and found the kitchen adequate, the linens fresh and clean and the beds a bit soft for us. The negative was access with the "paved" driveway no longer existing as you turn off the paved roadway. There were huge chunks of asphalt instead of a road and the gravel had eroded as well. I believe the hurricane caused damage to the driveway.

Secluded Cabin with a great view

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The little town of Saluda was great. Plenty of places to eat with no commercial establishments.

This was a very last minute trip and we couldn't have found a better location. Firstly the communication with hosts was great. Secondly the view was spectacular. Thirdly the cabin was spacious yet perfectly quaint. Fifth, the back porch for early mornings and late afternoons was exactly what we needed.Plenty of room for our dogs, hiking with the dogs was wonderful, and plenty of yard room for them to play.We definitely recommend The Blackberry to anyone wanting a secluded spot to dissappear for a few days.Close to i26, yet far enough away. The driveway is steep and could be difficult to climb in a regular car, but not so steep that we are not able to walk dawn and back up numerous times a day with our dogs.We loved our weekend getaway here!

Little bit of heaven

We are in mourning following the rather sudden death of my dad. We had this trip planned for Father’s Day but my dad passed the13th. My mom and dad live in Hendersonville. We were so happy to see this place to be alone to rest and gather ourselves for our family. This place was perfect with heaven looking at us! Weekend getaway

We had a family wedding outside of Greenville, SC but wanted to be in the mountains. It was worth the drive. Our favorite was sitting on the porch encountering nature, and feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere.

A peaceful place to go when for a retreat.

We are grateful for our healing time at Blackberry Cottage. Whoever said "I lift my eyes to the hills" got it right. The sunrise, the mist, the sound of bees buzzing -- all translated into comfort. Thank you for our stay.

Great getaway on a quiet mountain side

Was seeking a quiet, out of the way cabin and this one delivered. Has all the necessary comforts and easy access to nearby Saluda, Hendersonville and Asheville. SUV easily handled the gravel road that leads to the cabin, and the return after each day of activities was worth it when you pulled up next to the cabin.

Amazing Stay at the Blackberry

We had the best stay at the Blackberry. This was our third time staying here but the first with our children (ages 5-9). We had the best time tubing the Green River, zip-lining and picking up food to grill at Thompson's downtown. The Blackberry was the perfect retreat after a fun day. Our children loved the fire pit and being able to make s'mores. The house had everything we needed for the most enjoyable vacation. We will be back!

Very secluded getaway

We loved our time at "The Blackberry". This was the most secluded spot we've ever stayed. The view is indeed beautiful. The cabin is comfortable - very homelike. The drive is steep but the biggest challenge to us was the drive in along the hairpin turn road that led to the drive! We even got to see snow while we were there. We were a little nervous driving out, but the snow plow and salt truck had treated the road. We hope to return for some peace and quiet again soon!

Amazing Views

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin for three nights. It was spectacular. The cabin had everything we needed. The pictures online don’t give the views justice. It truly is beautiful beyond belief. We loved the privacy. You can hear the river from the front porch. Our only complaint is that the washing machine didn’t seem to work. Otherwise a perfect vacation.

THE BLACKBERRY is a quaint cabin nestled at the top of a mountain with a view that is BREATHTAKING. As the Host described "a little slice of heaven."The Green River Cove Rd is a zig zag style road - entertaining and beautiful drive. We missed the driveway on our arrival as the house number was worn making it harder to see. Once we turned around - we found the driveway. Definitely use four wheel drive and keep moving once you start up. I drive a small SUV and was nervous driving up the driveway as it is very rough, but we made it. Going up more difficult than coming down. A little more gravel or grading the driveway would be helpful. The cabin is small but served our purpose. The inside of the house was not as clean as hoped. I don't believe the floors were swept and mopped prior to our arrival. The cabin had a musty smell and numerous water markings on the inside walls as the roof must have leaked at one time. A small critter was under the house in the master bedroom area chewing and making a racket for many of the nights of our stay. Part of living with nature.The yard was in need of being mowed. More outside lighting such as dusk to dawn lights would have been helpful especially when taking dogs out to potty during the night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the use of THE BLACKBERRY for our week in the Asheville area. We would recommend for ALL to experience the spectacular view provided when staying at THE BLACKBERRY.

Couple things about area

Our first part of the area is when we tried to get to the cabin. There had been some rain and we had trouble getting our car through the gravel area. It took several times for us to get through several areas of the gravel. One thing I was disappointed in is that we started to use the oven, and it needed cleaning. One day an exterminator came by.....we had no clue who this person was and were afraid to let him in. The last day we had trouble getting our car started. I had to call State Farm to jump the battery....even they had problems getting to us. They never found us. I finally walked the mile to the main road to get someone to help us. While the site was nice to see the mountains, we were disappointed in the "happenings" we had.
