About Mimi Johnson

We are a brother and sister duo that were raised in Coupeville. The home has been used as an office for many years until we purchased it in 2015 and brought it back to it's home roots.

Mimi Johnson purchased this house in 2015

Why Mimi Johnson chose Whidbey Island

Coupeville is the heart of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve on Whidbey Island, centrally located between Port Townsend, Deception Pass State Park (and bridge), Anacortes, LaConner and Langley. Coupeville offers many festivals and events such as Mussel Fest, the Coupeville Arts and Crafts Fair, the Kite Festival, Penn Cove Water Festival, Tour de Whidbey, and Race the Reserve. Our home offers ample space to gather with family and friends.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This place was great. It was perfect for a large family. The everything was spotless and there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is great for walking downtown. At night, a family of deer gathered in the lawn. We especially enjoyed perusing the library that was filled with books from the era of the house. I would stay here again.

Large and met needs for reunion

  • 4 of 5

We had a family reunion, with 6 adults and four children. During the day, we were joined by other family members living in nearby communities. The home was rustic, but large enough to meet our needs. The house is within a short walk to downtown Coupeville, and a short drive to Oak Harbor, the ferry to Port Townsend, or other destinations. There is a grocery store just a few blocks away. Because we had a large group, we created a large amount of garbage which piled up, but that wouldn't be the case with most groups. We had a child with severe allergies, and there was dog hair that needed to be vacuumed upon our arrival. There was adequate seating for sitting outdoors and watching the kids play. We BBQ'ed a couple of nights, and the grill was fine. All in all, we would rent here again. It is a comfortable house, with no pretensions, that is perfect for what our family had in mind.

Absolutely stunning!

The house was absolutely stunning! Loved the claw foot tubs! The tiny one in the bathroom next to the kitchen is the absolute cutest.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family gathering. What a charming home. There was plenty of room for everyone. All the comforts from home. This home is walking distance to town. We would recommend this place to others and will likely rent again.

A Charming Comfortable Home In Coupeville

  • 4 of 5

We have just returned from an annual girl friend get-a-way, where we shop, eat and catch up on our year. This year we wanted to enjoy the comforts of a home rather than a hotel room and this house delivered. It was clean and very comfortable and beautifully decorated with antiques. Mimi had thoughtfully provided fresh flowers and flameless candles to add to the ambiance. The kitchen was equipped quite well and the beds were comfortable. The house is large and easy to maneuver around in a wheelchair and there is a ramp to the front door.

Unfortunately the bathroom off the main floor master bedroom will not hold a walker or wheelchair and the other main floor bathroom, while large, is not equipped for a wheelchair user. However, if you can walk a bit with a cane, this house would work perfectly for you.

I would stay again.
