About Kevin & Kim McFry
We are empty nesters who love the outdoors. We have been coming to the Smokies for 30 years and it has always been our favorite vacation spot.
Kevin & Kim McFry purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Kevin & Kim McFry chose Townsend
Since discovering Townsend, the Peaceful side of the Smokies, we have fallen in love with the area. As photography enthusiasts, we love looking for wildlife in Cades Cove or hiking to waterfalls. Townsend offers us many unique opportunities for our passion of nature. Located in the gated community of Laurel Valley, the cabin is close enough to the local attractions while still secluded.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin is conveniently located in Townsend close to the bike/walking trail, the Little River and just a short drive to the entrance of Cades Cove. Whether you want to spend the day looking for wildlife at Cades Cove, exploring the many nature trails or just relaxing in the wilderness Misty Morning Retreat is the perfect location.

It's a nice little cabin and a beautiful area of TN.
I hope to rent it again sometime.
We chose this property with really high almost unrealistic expectations, but from day one it has exceeded all expectations like never experienced. We highly recommend this property for those that will like to experience a magical get away, and we will definitely will be coming back.
Wonderful, Great, Fantastic, Clean
We absolutely loved staying in Misty Morning. We walked in and fell in love with the cabin. Everything we needed was there. We were warm and cozy because it was cold and it snowed. We were close enough to all the activities. We’ve been to the Smokies many times. This was our first cabin experience. We will be back to Misty Morning. Our daughter loved the huge tub/her swimming pool. Thank you , thank you for a fantastic Spring Break.

We had a lovely weekend at this cabin!!
Overall, the cabin was really nice and had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend!!
A great cabin!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin so much! It had all the essentials we needed for our stay. It also had plenty of room for our family of three. The location is quiet and perfect for a peaceful get-away. We even checked out a few local places recommended by Kevin and Kim and enjoyed them all!
Loved this quite cabin.
Even though the cabin is secluded in Laurel Valley, it is only 15 minutes away from Maryville which has lots of shopping and restaurants. Pigeon Forge is about 20 miles away and less than 30 miles to Gatlinburg.
