Located on Water Bay at the eastern end of St. Thomas, this beachside location is nestled in a cove fringed by waving palm trees. It's the perfect escape for anyone with a sense of adventure looking for music and fun on your next vacation. Or if you're dreaming of a more laid-back experience ā€” grabbing that beach chair, kicking off your flip-flops, sipping a margarita while looking out onto an expanse of fine white sand, crystal-clear waters and St. John island in the distance ā€” then this is the place for you.



The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.



THINGS TO KNOW:




The Caribbean is experiencing unusually high levels of Sargassum seaweed this season. During periods of excessive seaweed, the beach will not be accessible and transportation to nearby Coki beach will be provided.
A credit card is required for the $250 security deposit requested at check in.

U.S. Virgin Islands government has imposed a fee of $25 per unit per night to be paid at check-in.




There is also a daily energy fee of $25 assessed onsite.

Great fun in the sun!

We stayed for a few nights and everything was wonderful! The property has lots of hills and stairs, but the attendants were always ready to give you a lift to your room if you preferred. Gorgeous views from the pool!

Enjoyed my stay!

The property is nice and clean. No real beach, but I have a feeling most resort here do not. 5 min walk to a nice beach, 5 min drive to Megan beach and not far from Red Hook ferry to St John. Pretty good location. I did enjoy my stay. Only issue is I wish they had more people working the golf carts to take people back and forth from their rooms. Most rooms are high up the hill. There is a pool up there which is nice.

Great location, listing not fully transparent

The location is great! The resort is nice and big, with a good pool- the beach is pretty small and dirty. One huge note would be that there are several buildings, some near the pool and some ā€˜hilltopā€™. The listing is not transparent, and it is important to note that it is up to the resort to assign your room. Many hilltop rooms DO NOT have a view. Many are also very far from the beach, pool and lobby etc. They do offer golf cart shuttles, but they are often hard to come around.

The amenities and scenery were perfect and close to Red Hook to go to St. Johnā€™s. A great deal during high season in January.

5 night stay at Margaritaville St Thomas August 2021

We stayed 5 nights at the Margaritaville resort. Booking through VRBO and resort share was easy. Communication through the process was easy and thorough. Arrived at the resort and the grounds are very well maintained. The rooms are nice and good sized. The resort is having sargassum issues so the water and beach were not useable and the smell was pretty bad if you were close to it. Check in process was easy and the employees do well with Covid protocols there. Our room was on the hillside so we had a nice view of the bay, as well as, right next to the upper pool. This pool was very nice and since we werenā€™t near the beach you couldnā€™t smell the sargassum. We ate breakfast in the cafe in the ground several times and had dinner twice at the resort restaurant. Nothing special about the food it was average and what you expected. Cabs were easy to get at the main entrance anytime we were going places. Didnā€™t give 5 stars because some of the amenities werenā€™t available to use with the sargassum issue.

Cleanliness and kindness of the staff. The property was well maintained and although there were hills, there were ample golf carts to provide you a ride to and from. Cons: The walk to and from Coki Beach While I was able, soneone more challenged would have a difficult time going there. Margaritaville has a beach as well, but not as pleasant as Coki, but nice to say the least.
